Not sure if there's already a thread on this, but I've been wondering if anyone knows whether Verizon will ever allow customers to use Google wallet again? I bought the note 2 and I've used Google wallet on my nexus 7 and it works great! Would hope to be able to use it on the note 2. Thanks for any feedback.

I don't think they will... since they are now promoting their own wallet application, called ISIS.
At least you have an option, I'm with Sprint and we're stuck with NO wallet applications at all.

Any thoughts on Verizon adding bloatware and blocking Google Wallet on the Galaxy Nexus?
Sent from my Wallet.
The two "bloatware" apps are actually useful.. and if google wallet is blocked by Verizon, why do I have to flash something to have it on mine when I'm on T-Mobile? It's not like it's pre loaded on GSM variants either..

Here's the story i read on the Wallet debacle:

I live in Canada where Google wallet is not supported yet. Is there any ways I can purchase some kind of prepaid MasterCard's with an US address? If so, please recommend me some good prepaid credit cards! Thanks a bunch.

One good pre-paid card is zoompass. Most places treat it as a regular credit card, not as a prepaid and you can link it to Google wallet

I have reloaded my google wallet many times. I use vanilla MasterCard gift card. It took a.lot.of.work if you need help let me know
for google wallet to work in canada you need to pay two currency conversions? one for the vanilla credit card and again when you use google wallet in canada since the vanilla card is in US funds? what is the conversion rate you guys are getting?
does it still work after google fixed the security problem?
The pre-paid mastercards seem to be the only way. But tbh it seems like a waste of money to be paying the 5$ they charge for it + the conversion fee. yikes.
I just installed it from the Play Store on my unlocked Nexus on AT&T and everything worked. I now have the free $10 Google card. Before I'd get an error that it isn't available on my carrier.
Anyone with a Verizon Nexus confirm this?

It's been available for AT&T devices for some time now.
It's only available on the gsm ones and the sprint one. Not on Verizon.

I'm still having trouble on my T-Mobile GN. But maybe it's because it's using AOKP?

Same here. I'm running AOKP here as well.
Maybe only for stock ROMs at this moment?

You could download it but it would tell you it wasn't compatible with your carrier...

Do you have stock rom? I'm curious as to seeing what happens if I create a prepaid card using stock rom and then nandroid back into AOKP and see if the account stays.

Stock ROM 4.0.4. Unlocked and rooted.
I don't suggest doing what you're trying to do, you might get the secure element error.

It's worked for me for at least a month on AT&T with an unlocked Galaxy Nexus. No error messages and no messages regarding incompatibility.
Unsurprisingly it is still not offered in the Canadian play store even though our merchants do support it.

Yes, you can do that. The account may disappear, but you can add it back. I've wiped my Wallet data many times at this point. AOKP and stock both work the same as far as I can tell.

Same here pretty much. I use H2O (an AT&T MVNO) and I was able to download and use Wallet the day I bought my Nexus at the end of January. In the Google Play store it shows up as an AT&T Nexus.
Oh, I should mention that mine is the NTT Docomo version. I heard that you might have to call in to activate it or something? Not 100% sure.

Blame Google. What happened to the speculation on an "early 2012" Google Wallet launch in Canada?
Still waiting

I was wondering the same thing although in my research to finding the cause to our problem, I read on some sites that it is due to the vulnerabilities and the ability to get into other peoples "wallet" via deleting the caches.
I'm on T-Mobile, AOKP.
Couldn't download before (carrier blah blah).
Just did it and installed.

I did get AT&T to provide me the Sim needed and am able to use ISIS Wallet in the Orange County at all the same places Google Wallet works, CVS, MacDonalds, Wallgreens, ect. as well as vending machines. LA area has not gone live yet but it works. Just wanted to pass the word, I am using a SGS3 on AT&T Stock 4.04. Only thing that really sucks is that you need to reload the ISIS prepaid card or have a Chase Bank account to add the Card, I would love to be able to use Google Wallet since you can put any card on it. Just my input
Do you live in the launch markets or call in and have them mail you an Isis sim?

Yeah, seeing the abysmal list of supported cards really turned me off considering ISIS. I was willing to give it a shot, but once I found out about that it seemed like too much of a hassle.
PS, @BarQsRB1966, there are instructions around here on how to get Google Wallet on this phone. I followed them and am very pleased.

I download the APK from here and want to try Isis on my Nexus 4 however I can't get it to install. Anybody have a link to another one? I am on Tmob and yes I have an Isis Sim card. Does having Google wallet installed jack it up?

Do you still need this? I can post it if you tell me where to find it.
I've just encountered this issue.
I recently flashed LiquidSmooth ROM 4.2.2 and now the App Store tells me that ISIS Mobile Wallet is incompatible with my device.
I believe this is because the unique user ID or phone ID is switched, hence it's not the stock T-Mobile branded ROM.
This sucks, I don't want a TouchWiz ROM but I just might switch back because I live in Salt Lake and can benefit from ISIS in many ways.
Unless, we can switch something in build.prop or another file that will identify the phone as T-Mobile?
I'm Planning to buy a Galaxy nexus because the Nexus 4 doesn't seem to be coming back into stock soon
anyways, i'm asking a question if Google Wallet works Straight out of the Box
With AT&T
I do not know about at&t but I cannot get it to work on mine with T-Mobile. From what I have read it has something to do with these isis micro Sims(in test markets?)? When I launch the wallet app it says it can take up to 5 minutes to setup. After 5 minutes it says my device is not ready yet... I plan to go down to T-Mobile later this week to see if I can get a non-isis Sim card instead. Not sure if at&t has these issues. Just a FYI.
