[Q] notification led for missed calls not working - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Hi there,
I'm a new GNex user, coming from a nexus s with rasbeanjelly 4.1.1
I used to be happy with the bln feature of the kernel: when some notification occurred the touch keys got illuminated.
I've seen that the GNex has a color led, and some app, like Facebook or Evernote use it. I was surprised to see that neither missed phone calls nor sms notifications make the led to switch on. I am on stock ROM 4.2.1, just updated OTA when I took the phone out of the box.
I only unlocked, rooted and busyboxed it through the GNex toolkit.
I installed the Light Manager app which works fine for all notification but missed phone calls. Do you also experience similar behaviour? Is it due to the 4.2.1 jb version?
Thank you for your attention

are you using lightflow?

As I wrote, I'm using light manager which seems easier to configure.
Previously I tried light flow lite, but it didn't work either. That's why I wonder whether it depends on jb 4.2.

[Q] Stock 4.1.1 SMS/MMS LED Notifications

For those who are running stock (or mostly) JRO03C based ROMs, do you experience any issues with LED notifications when you receive text messages?
I'm running CM10 and occasionally when I get a text, the LED will light up for a split second then turn off.

The stock LED notifications are pretty close to useless. Grab LightFlow from the market, you'll be glad you did.
I've had it happen now and then as well. Probably something not many people will even notice.

Already tried it. Something is bugged with Android or the messaging app. I'm trying to find out if the bug is in stock builds too.
No issues here.

I do notice that even with light flow. I got used to it though. Not a big problem

[Q] Led notification in ICS and JB

Hi, I own a Nexus (EU version) and I grabbed it since it was special offer...the very day i bought it I just learned how to use it, not receiving calls or text alike, so I don't know how the led notification worked under ICS. The next day I upgraded to JB, since it was available OTA. Unfortunately, since JB I could not resolve the led notification issues (text, missed calls, charging), not even trying Led Flow and other apps. Since it seems that Led Flow has a bug with JB, I ask someone to tell me how the led notifications worked (which events are notified) under ICS.
Thanks to all

[Q] [Jelly Bean] Auto-unlock on notifications

I had Wildfire prior to Nexus and it always used to light-up whenever I got a sms/whatsapp message. But Nexus doesn't? Is there any application which can make the phone light-up/unlock upon receiving notifications?
It's kind of a pain to always press the power button whenever I have to check a received message.
I think Lightflow will partly help you as there is option to turn screen on for 5s on notification...

Ya light flow is the best for stock. If your using a custom rom like CM they have mods built in for that.

Yup, am on stock ROM. Will try lightflow, thanks guys
You can also accomplish this with Tasker.

[Q] 4.2 Notification LED + texts

With the OTA to 4.2 I have noticed that instead of flashing the notification LED, the screen wakes up.
Anyone else have this issue? Possible work arounds with stock ROM?
You can try going into settings and see if the option is there. Or it could just be the rom you are using.

Try installing something like LightFlow Lite by Rage Consulting (Available in the play store).
Some non-user-visible setting might have been changed when you updated. This app supports a number of different settings for different notification types.
Lightflow was a great suggestion.... Despite the developer's disclosure on having issues with Samsung phones I have no problem with my GNex running stock.:good:

Amoled notifications with NoLED

Hey guys,
I just tried the NoLED on my s3 mini and it's working well.
If you need visual notifications about your incoming messages and emails, missed calls or you want an always visible clock on your phone's screen I suggest this little application:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=730692
It is not my development, I can't be responsible if something goes wrong with it, but it's working perfectly on my device with ALL2 rooted 4.1.1 firmware.
Hey thank`s for this i will give it a try. Quite a few options in the App.

Working great on stock rom here!
Thanks for the tip! Downloaded it and works perfectly on stock (rooted) rom.
I did have a problem with the TTS when allowing NoLED to accessibility (screen 1 of 7, map opened, ...), but disabling the Google and Samsung TTS services, and renabling them, solved the problem.
How's the battery consumption on your SGS minis after installing the app?
