Possible to remove the comma key from swiftkey? - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

Hey,
I want to ask if we can remove the comma key from the swiftkey keyboard, as I want to make the keyboard bigger and remove that key as I dont need it.
Can it be done?

No sorry.
Use SmartKeyboard instead!
That lets you do it!

Samsung like keyboard with auto-correct?

I love the size and spacing of the Samsung Keyboard, but I really miss the auto-correct.
I've tried a number of other keyboards but they all have the keys too close together. I have Better Keyboard 8 with a number of Skins, a few Gingerbread keyboards, Swype (of course)...
Any ideas?
Sorry mods - wrong forum - can you move to Themes and Apps?
Samsung keyboard does have auto correction, you have to enabled it in settings, its called xt9, also go into xt9 advanced settings to enable other settings.
I use smart keyboard pro. Has skin to look like any keyboard plus the characters pop up so you can see what you're typing and it has auto correct

I would suggest using swiftkey, best keyboard ive used imo.
Stock keyboard isn't too bad with xt9 on, but current keyboard of choice is the thumb keyboard beta from these very forums. Worth a try.
Swiftkey is second choice for me though.

I like the "stock gingerbread keyboard" on the market. Works a charm and reminds me of my old HTC Hero.

Thanks for all this advice. I've tried out Smart Keyboard and Swiftkey. I like that they both give clear options when I use voice input but what has sold me on Smart Keyboard is that it also has a Retry button after voice input if you don't find a match for what you dictated. I couldn't see that Swiftkey has that. Quicker than cancelling the entry and then clicking on the voice input button again.
Apart from that, I couldn't say that one is better than the other. I haven't done a lot of testing so I cannot say if one is more accurate than the other on finding the right words.

I have always used Swiftkey but Im not sure if anyone else has experienced the missing word correction/choices bar in landscape mode on same apps on the S2. Its there on handcent and messaging apps but not on the default email client. This was never a problem on my desire. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hard keyboard, soft keyboard, switch inputs

Hello,
My question might sound stupid but is there is any way to change the keyboard layout on the DZ depending on what keyboard is used, hardware or software when having swiftkey, Swype and the stock Android keyboard ?

How to use the JB keyboard instead of Samsung keyboard

I heard there was a big improvement to the keyboard from JB. Since I am on Samsung, how can I convert to use the JB keyboard instead of Samsung?
is there a way to program from the keyboard to automatically predict the next word, instead of having to hit the suggestions?
Just use SwiftKey keyboard 3. It's the best.

It might be part of the GAPOS 4.2. Check in the theme section. Once you have the app installed, you can change the what keybaord to use in the setting.

Built In Keyboard

Hi, does anyone know if there is a screen on the built in keyboard that has a set of Arrows, cut, paste etc. (Similar to the TouchPal Keyboard).
Regards
I highly doubt if that option is available in the default keyboard.
but you can try ultra keyboard.
if has all the things that you want + its holo themed..
No but if you disable gesture typing (swyping letters) in the setting by unchecking "Continuous input" and check the box for "Cursor control" you can slide your finger across the keyboard to move left and right. That is the default behaviour.
But that won't give the copy and paste buttons..

It's better than nothing and the screens touch sensitivity is enough that Android's native copy/paste works well. Unlike say a TF201 where moving/placing the cursor with your finger might be nearly a word off or a Galaxy S3 where it might be a hair on target.
If you are not emotionally attached to Samsung keyboard, then Swype has cut/copy/paste shortcuts (swype gesture from Swype key to x, c or v), and cursor controls.

I use an app called Thumb Keyboard. Its in the App Store. Has directional arrows and several configurations and colors. I use it on my S3 as well. Give it a try!

Samsung keyboard add words.

I searched the Internet for a way to add words into the dictionary. But all I found was advice to switch to another keyboard. I already have swift key but I don't want to part with the handwriting feature on the stock keyboard. So if anyone has a mod of the Samsung keyboard that has Auto correct and the ability to add words to the dictionary, please link it here.
