[Q] [HELP] no JB update - HTC One X

I haven't received the Jelly Bean update for my HOX.
its an unbranded handset on O2 (UK)
CID : HTC_001
HBOOT: 1.12.0000
RADIO: 2.1204.135.20
Stock firmware and kernel.
any help appreciated.

Maybe it's not available yet. Have you seen reports of people who've got the update? Also, there's a thread in general section where people report about received updates based on their cid.
Sometimes I see posts an just think: This person is that sort of man, who rotates the square in tetris....

1. When will the JB Update roll out for my One X (insert CID and country/carrier here)
We don't know. XDA isn't HTC. Check to see if your CID has been updated here.If it isn't, too bad. Wait and stop bugging XDA DEVELOPERS and go look for XDA OEMS.

Is this a new update for the Desire Z?
If so, is it a new sense?
Confused right now.

+1, Also confused.
It doesn't seem to be an update, probably the same as the latest WWE RUU we have, only modified in some way for the Arabic versions of the DZ.
I could be wrong, though.

The G2 is exclusive to T-Mobile US. That means that every other version (be it european or arabic) is for the Desire Z. Judging by the filename, I'm guessing it's the same as the European 2.42, but with a different language pack (region 415).

Yeah, I figured it would be for the Desire Z as I read the file.
So its a new update... with just a new language than huh?
Hm, didn't think it was something big since I haven't heard any buzz of it.

That manual won't work, because G2 doesn't have "writecid" command in fastboot.
But... I think as long as you have S-Off (and usually that also means you have SuperCID), it doesn't matter
Please don't use the official HTCdev unlock, it's rubbish. Either get S-OFF via the method in the XDA Wiki, or use the goldcard method if you want to get SuperCID and don't want S-OFF.

Am I gonna lose my s-off or root if I did try this New Gingerbeard version?

There is another RUU for CID_621
RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_Chunghwa_1.29.751.7
I think they are different Taiwanese carriers.
Also check BuildNumber from Settings-About-SoftwareVersion-More to find out what's already on your phone.
Hi, how can I learn how to read for myself which RUUs are compatible?
I too have HTC 621 as my cid and a slowish internet connection, so I can't download every single one and just give it a shot.
Thanks!
2.17.709.2 RUU not available
I have updated my one and now it has 2.17.709.2.where can I find that RUU?

[Q] Updating to Jellybean

So...
I understand that when updating to jellybean you need a specific CID number, does this make a difference if this CID is network specific.?
Example the forum says I need a CID such as 001 and some say HTC_001 mine is VODAP001 with it being a vodafone handset, will i brick if i update.?
Thanks
Kris
Sorry but that won't work, with the leaked hboots going around at the moment it must start with htc

there is still no way you can do that by your self at home
my hox was back from a fix at store s-off and super cid there was at the store I bought my hox from htc technican so he s-off and super cid my device without even asking me
