[Q] Updating to Jellybean - HTC One X

So...
I understand that when updating to jellybean you need a specific CID number, does this make a difference if this CID is network specific.?
Example the forum says I need a CID such as 001 and some say HTC_001 mine is VODAP001 with it being a vodafone handset, will i brick if i update.?
Thanks
Kris

Sorry but that won't work, with the leaked hboots going around at the moment it must start with htc

[Q] From where are system updates downloaded

Hi folks,
I have Desire HD branded from Tmobile Germany (CID is TMOB101), and I'd like to know, from where it downloading system updates? From HTC (official ROM), or from Tmobile (customized ROM, because of CID value)?
When I unpacked new phone and turn it on, it offered me an update to 2.2.1. From where it download the software update?
And when I was trying to flash an official ROM from HTC (from xdafil.es, WWE version), it stop ad the wrong device ID (or something similar). It has because the CID value?
Yes you have a branded CID so can only apply tmob updates and ruu's, if you eng s-off your device you will get superCID and can apply any uodate or rom

And can be downloaded that operator customized RUU's (Tmobile) somewhere?
I have searching on tmobile.de website, but found nothing. Or is somwhere on the net information about this customized updates?
Google shipped roms, maybe they have it

I'm afraid not. Until s-off and super cid is achieved you can only run RUU's including .980 in their description. Also, you can't run one with a lesser version number than the one you already have installed.
It appears that you have the latest Optus Australian release available at present.

[Q] [HELP] no JB update

I haven't received the Jelly Bean update for my HOX.
its an unbranded handset on O2 (UK)
CID : HTC_001
HBOOT: 1.12.0000
RADIO: 2.1204.135.20
Stock firmware and kernel.
any help appreciated.
Maybe it's not available yet. Have you seen reports of people who've got the update? Also, there's a thread in general section where people report about received updates based on their cid.
Sometimes I see posts an just think: This person is that sort of man, who rotates the square in tetris....

1. When will the JB Update roll out for my One X (insert CID and country/carrier here)
We don't know. XDA isn't HTC. Check to see if your CID has been updated here.If it isn't, too bad. Wait and stop bugging XDA DEVELOPERS and go look for XDA OEMS.

3 network, UK
I'm got a Vodafone HoX and got my JB update about December 11 (once I'd relocked my bootloader etc.) - my GF (also a Vodafone set), got the 4.2 update a couple of days later (I'd rooted and such so didn't get this one, and can't see much improvement with anything).
A work colleague however, is on the 3 network and STILL has no news regarding the OTA :silly:
I'll have to check what CID he has to add to the list.

Middle East region didn't receive the update yet with unbranded phones in the all area.
