I found this AOSP Jelly Bean theme for the international N7100 (non-LTE) version of the Note II. I actually flashed it, but the status bar crashes and so does "Android.phone.process.com). I figured that this is because we are on the LTE N7105 variant of the Note II. However, all the AOSP themes of the phone dialer, contacts, etc work, and they look absolutely amazing. If any one can port it over, would be really awesome.

To get this theme working follow this
Get on THIS ROM
I use THIS kernel
Then use THIS theme
Flash all the status bar mods to make everything blue again (try to number these in the order I have them or at least the first one which gets themed by all the files below. (Drop the two files into the actual theme so it will replace the ones that dont work)

http://db.tt/dehxrJVN
http://db.tt/Y54aeZtu

NO DIALER ISSUES NOW!!! I took the SecPhone.apk and SecContacts from SENDSPACE to make it work.
Thanks to all the Devs for making the mods they did so we could compile this on out i317.
cjsspape for the ROM
antiochasylum for the Kernel
raubkatze for the Status Bar theme
avetny for the Theme itself
joshbeach for the Phone.apk and Contacts.apk

I've been using JellyBomb, but I'm going to try out Wicked.
update
Ok i just wanted to add this screen of my battery life and to be fair i haven't used it heavy today, pretty light. A lot of texting a few phone calls about 30 minutes total and medium facebook/twitter use. Today was a busy day at work so not much time to play but i am still impressed with the battery life.
Until recently i was on Strong Steve's odexed blue and switched wicked's while Steve was hosting to jelly bean. Both Roms are from team venum and both offer great visuals and features. I would advise anyone to try both Roms and decide for yourself.

Please help with the "Updater"
Hi,
I am new to this rom and the Galaxy SIII. I come from a rooted Epic. I flashed this rom and so far I am loving it. I have two questions:
1. I read the entire Wicked Thread and I saw a lot of talk about the updater. I honestly don't know what the updater is and I am asking if someone could please explain it or point me in the right direction.
2. The background/wallpaper that the rom came with was awesome, but I tried a couple more. Now I want to go back to that background (the one that looks like snake skin, but can't find it anywhere. It shows up on certain apps but I would like it on my home screen. Thanks in advance!

been rockin this rom since the s2. still getting used to the s3.
you can change the dock icons by:
1 press and hold app icon to add app to homescreen
2 drag app icon over the dock icon you want to replace
it won't allow you to add icon from the app list directly to the dock, you have to add it to the homescreen first

This guide is going to show you how to port ROMs to our Sprint GS3!
Before we begin, please download the programs 7zip and Notepad++ as we will need them. And get a Stock JB ROM for our Device(Preferably DeOdexed)
So lets get started!!!
1) Download the ROM you want to port
2) Open it using 7zip
3) Replace the kernel/boot.img with ours
4) Go to /system/lib/modules. Delete everything and replace with ours
5) then go to /system/lib/hw. Delete and replace everything with ours
6) For the Hard keys and soft keys to work go to /system/usr/keychars and delete and replace then go to /system/usr/keylayout and delete and replace with ours
7) Now go to /system/etc and delete the following and replace with ours:
- vold.fstab
- /wifi
- /ppp
Congrats! You have ported your first ROM! But please do the devs, and myself a favor and don't spam the Development Subforum with ports!

I'm thinking the same thing. If so, somebody should start a single thread (idk which section) that houses all of these types of ports. This just sounds too simple to work though.
I believe that there is a program that allows you to link a rom to port with a rom from your device.. It processes it.. And spits out a supposed, ported rom. I don't remember where I read it. Maybe this is the manual method... But, I agree.. It sounds too easy

Yes, it's that easy. But porting,to me, is like the simplest form of creating a custom ROM. Next is theming and modding, then comes building from source.
Nonetheless, hopefully this motivates some people to get their hands dirty with some work

This is good for cm based roms or roms for same device but separate carriers (sprint, Verizon, etc.) But for most others it would take much more. Just have fun and don't go trying to port htc sense right away lol If you're lucky you won't have to edit framework or anything

If we did this would we be able to you the mods/morphs that the ROM comes with? This sounds cool and all but Sprint I believe and I could be wrong are the only one with JB Final others are leaks. Don't want to go down that road again.

I guess the OP forgot to mention this would only work with ROMs similar to our phones, for example, other GS3 variants. The Note 2 has an Exynos chip, not a snapdragon S4 like ours, so porting will require a bit more effort than what the OP stated.

Really, no one can give you a straightforward answer without knowing what it is about the S Pen you want to keep. The air view and the like? If so, JediROM has those TouchWiz features as I recall. Otherwise, just about any ROM for the SGN2 will work.

NFC Issue
I've rooted my GNII, I'm still with the stock ROM, and have GoogleWallet. I have an NFC that happens every so often. Mainly when I run my camera app, music player app, and GooglePlay. My phone will freeze for about 5 secs then a window pops up saying "unfortunately, NFC service has stopped". I have tried multiple "NFC Fixes" by flashing them in CWM and manually moving the files in Root Explorer with no success. GW works fine along with everything else. It's just horribly irritating. If I flash JellyThunder, will this alleviate the problem?

What Rom are u on#1?
And have you tried this yet?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1766475
And I'm wondering what caused your problem in the first place. I bet it's how you got Google Wallet working on your stock firmware. Because I seen something b4, about changing/fixing your nfc file.:what: In order to get wallet working! So I didn't try it. And when Jelly Thunder came out and said Google Wallet worth no problems. I was very excited, with everyone eke that wanted it.
So all that being said: I WILL SAY THAT I HAVE NOT HAD ANY ISSUES WYETH THIS ROM WHAT SO EVER!
So I would try to do a clean wipe of your system. Then install the Rom and give it a few days to c how it quirks out for you. OR you can just wait for the NEW RELEASE COMING SOON! !

Please share the link for the Cobalt theme, I am not sure if it's compatible though.
There are two themes which are 100% compatible with the new T999 S3 v4.1.2 Jellybean rom.
One of them is the Morhology which can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1968724
The other is called JB MAD which can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2183099
Both are very compatible with the T999 4.1.2 Jellybean rom and will not break anything in the phone.

UPDATE: @enewman17 and @talkingmonkeys have created a working Samsung keyboard for TouchWiz 4.4.2 for SGS3. It is located here in its own thread.
For historical purposes, below is my original attempt.
-------------------------
I updated my phone to @saranhai and @DocHoliday77 's 4.4.2 ND8 port. I have been using @enewman17's Note2 keyboard on Dandroid 4.1.2 for months, so I preferred to keep the same layout.
I used his 4.3 version and modded it to work on 4.4.2. I am not as experienced in smali as others on the forum, but I was able to get the keyboard working with no FCs (so far, been a few hours of use). Unfortunately, I had to remove a few references to "EmojiParser", so I cannot guarantee how well emojis will work; I never use them so I was not worried. If you report bugs, I can try to fix them, but I cannot guarantee it. As usual, logcats will be the best method.
As usual, I cannot be held responsible if your device bricks or you make a nuclear weapon using this keyboard. Make a nandroid, flash, and probably wipe the dalvik cache to be safe.
Let me also reiterate, I am not the original developer, @enewman17 is. He's been a great help to our community and graciously agreed to let me put this up. I simply modded his keyboard.
If you can improve it, by all means. If you can host it elsewhere, by all means. (It's hosted on my personal Dropbox, so I cannot guarantee uptime.)

It wasn't correct but even redownloading it I'm not having much luck. It still won't appear at all. Thinking its something on my end but if you don't mind double checking it and uploading another one I'll try it later today.

I would but I don't think it'll even show up in one. It doesn't even appear. But I randomly got an update for note 3 keyboard today
Which ROM are you using? Might be a mod in the framework

I got it working after a clean flash of StockMod Rom. So, it might be something that was modified. So, far I installed most my mods and it is still working.

I'm not a graphic designer. I do have the images available. If you or someone would like to modify them, I can make them available as a download, and can repack the keyboard with the new design.
