(Q) router keygen error - Wildfire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

"This essid is not supported"
Any clue?
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using xda app-developers app

Dude try other programs first.
There are some... like pulWifi, Penetrate or WPA Tester, search them, Google is your friend.

Thanks dude... Let me try... Btw which one do you use?
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using xda app-developers app

I am from Spain so i mostly use pulWifi, that's being developed by an Spanish guy...
Penetrate for example is a very good one too
Don't know but there are many programs out there for this specific purpose,
probably your mileage may vary, so try some of them first.
BTW, your specific problem is that Router Keygen does not support the network that you're trying.
Normally there is a list of supported networks and/or routers for that application.
As i said earlier, in this matter, Google is your friend. (As i can't post any .apk's that are the work of others, etc.)

The above apps only crack wep passwords.
But routers here are bases on EPA/wpa2.
Don't think that particular app is there

Few mistakes up there.
Thanks to auto correct

Android security. Personal files safe?

Hi guys. Lately I seem to be going paranoid, so here is a question for you all. How safe are my personal files, pictures, keepass databases etc if they are located on the sd card of my desire which is always connected to the internet? Could someone hack into my phone and download them?
Thanks for your time.

The answer is no. To get hacked you have to be stupid and purposefully do it or get a virus on your phone.

They should not be able to do that unless u somehow got a virus onto your phone.

Thanks for the responses guys! The question that begs to be asked now, is what anti-virus / anti-trojan you would recommend?
Is it avgfree or lookout? Or is there some other choice?
Thanks once again!

Fizzerr is in fact correct. As long as you don't install any suspicious applications, that specifically have the permissions to access your SDcard and are specifically programmed to act as a virus and upload your data to the application author, then nothing could go wrong.

Mobile security

Do you use any virus/malware programs, thoughts and recommendations?
I've never been a mobile security using kinda guy. I've tried lookout before and never saw the point besides being able to locate a lost phone. Which I have never needed. So I just ended up uninstalling it.
My dad recently felt the need to show off his new mobile security suit and tell me all the features (I forgot what it was, but lookout did all the same things he mentioned to me)
Has anyone had a security program detect a major threat?
Considering I keep more important info on my cell than my laptop my dad got me thinking maybe I need one of these...
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda app-developers app
I use lookout for security and the locator. I doubt I'll ever need it but it pays to be safe. I've never had a threat detected but once again you never know. Instead of asking why bother, perhaps say "why not?"

I use avast because it really good if ur rooted

Yea its the one I just installed the other day. It seems more serious than lookout did, with what it had me to do to set it up

Second that Avast. used nq security for a year but it qut updating virus protection so been with Avast ever since.
I'm wary of what I download. And always keep backups and change my passwords often. Though I do use Lookout for GPS tracking, I however disable the file scanning function.

I've never heard of a single case of a mobile virus but it's possible to inject malware via an app I'm very careful about what I download.. I never use any mobile security apps.
I did hear about people being able to steal your info from your phone by NFC.. All they have to do is come close enough to your phone with an nfc tag and it can automatically direct you to a Site where it automatically downloads something malicious to your phone . It's very unlikely to happen but the only way to prevent that is keep nfc off..

Malware agree
NFC agree
Virus there have been some recent reports, but I use the term virus loosely.
Kaspersky used on pc gave free mobile subscription key. So I said why not

It would be simple to fix the NFC thing.. Just make it so it's not automatic and you need to OK it to continue.. I don't think it would be any more of a hassle

I use Dr. Web it scans any app that I download and gives a notification according to the results. There are only 2 times it has ever found anything was once on my mt4g I used an apk to help root the phone. Because of the nature of the apk dr Web reported it as malicious. I knew that it wasn't so no biggie. The other time was a couple months ago when gosms was under fire for recording info from your chats/texts gosms had an update that started the controversial info collection. When I downloaded the update Dr Web reported the app was malicious. So I simply did not update. Otherwise all is quiet.

in MIUI rom you can block individual app permissions.. Pretty good security feature if you ask me

I would use some sorts of mobile security. Better safe than sorry.

[Q] Google now doesn't answer.

Has someone found a solution to let Google Now answer on your question? It just search for an answer on google. (Example: What time is it?)
I have already read the posts for other devices and none of the answers is working for me. I have ARHD 13.0 Jelly Bean Rom from mike1986 on my HTC One X.
(It can be that my English is not always correct.)

Yes, I can ask a question and Google Now put the question on Google and push on search. It doesn't answer the question like I have seen in several YouTube videos.

It's not working for me. :'( Just remember me that this version is just a leak. Maybe it will work in Mike's final release. Thank you for your answers. I shall hit the thanks button.

Your language must be set to US English, but it doesn't matter where you are.
Also, you have to phase your questions with a somewhat specific syntax. Here is a good video showing how:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fHkhp6BwnGo
I have already tried with my whole phone in US English. I have also seen that YouTube video.

I do not have those cards in Google Now neither it showed me "I am in" option. When i long press home button it only offers Web voice search, nothing more. Am I doing something wrong?
Works fine for me on CM10

Hi, i am also using ARHD 15 and Google Now doensn't speak out its answers. Have you managed to find out why ?

CM9 CDMA 100% Working

OK.. here it is 100% working (as far as I can tell) CM9 for the CDMA primoc.
IT WORKS WITH THE UPDATED (OTA) Radio & HBOOT. Please do not ask...
EVERYTHING works, including USB tethering, bluetooth tethering, wifi hotspot, bluetooth to mono headset (voice !), bluetooth to A2DP, bluetooth sleep !, wifi sleep !, videos, sms, mms, camera 5 mp, camera flash, panorama, video recorder 720p, adb, adb root, ...
It's all there. Built from the latest source. The only "mod" is that Apollo 1.1 (latest) is included.
There is only one very minor glitch.
It is VERY, VERY rare, and only in VERY low memory situations - there seems to be some font corruption in some apps. Disabling the 'purge assets' under performance seems to fix this. Do not enable 'purge assets'.
It uses the original HTC camera files, so it is very stable. I am going to work on changing it to use the open source Code Aurora drivers this winter.
Could not have done it without the CyanogenMod team, simonsimons, rukin, and jmztaylor and their posted github code for ideas.
It's a great ROM for our devices, very fast, and completely stable.
Some rules... Sorry but I will not answer any "how do I..." questions. I just do not have the time. There are plenty of forum posts that direct you how to install a custom rom, add mods, etc.
If you do find a bug/issue, please post it here. I will probably not be posting frequent updates, except for critical issues. Enhancements will probably be done this winter when the golf season ends...
rom updated: camera flash fixed
rom updated: bluetooth sleep fixed
download link - tested
download link latest - untested
BTW, you also need to flash gapps. Also, flash the boot.img in the rom using fastboot. You need to do a full wipe if coming from a jellybean based rom.

Try dev-host Mega will give you problems if trying to download with phone, Not mobile friendly.
devhost. more reliable as far as roms go..to share your source thats another story.i cant say on that.
I plan on sharing the source. Noticed today high battery drain when Bluetooth on. Seems to be a kernel lock issue. Seems a common ics problem. Going to post what I've got, but also build a new kernel from the HTC source with a few mods for overclock and have to make sure all of the other stuff still works.

Still no word from Goo. Going to wait until Monday at least.

Just an FYI, the Bluetooth battery drain is not typically an issue since it is normally in the car, and you can be charging. Also, use a tasker setup that turns off BT when not needed and you're all good.

I wouldnt trust it, until theres an app coming from apple.
According to The Verge the data is sent to China then to Apple. They recommend using throwaway Apple ID's instead of your primary one

Not only that though but apparently the app can install apks on your device without your permission if installed. I wouldn't trust this app at all. Cool concept but providing too much access to the developer and who knows who else.
I also read about this app. For Apple devices to think it's an apple device messaging them, the text you send, has to go to a third party server in China, and then to the recipient. Use at your own risk.

Your advice would work... if Google hadn't already pulled it from the Play Store.
Can somebody Please PM me with the apk or post it here ? The app was free (I guess), so it isn't warez right ?
EDIT: I found the app, but when I try to login the verify goes to about 50% and then nothing happens. Anybody else having this problem ?
Don't trust it.

If there's any chance it's from apple, don't trust it.
