how to uninstall superuser safely? - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

I already had superuser installed on my sg3. I installed mobile odin the other day and it installed superSU. Now I have both on my phone. Which should I keep, and how can I delete any of these, since they are all showing as system applications? I want to make sure I don't lose root of course. I googled but am not having much luck with this.

I would keep SuperSu. There might be an option in Superuser to uninstall it. You might be able to use Titanium Backup or you could delete it from the /system/app folder. Those are about all the options I can think of at the moment. I am sure other people will have other ideas as well.

full root question

is it possible to obtain full root without wiping phone data? all i want to do is remove apps that i dont use...like most of the sprint/htc crap i dont care for a custom rom only want a custom kernel with all tweaks
I don't think it's possible. However, once you do get full root access and nand unlock, you would be able to remove the apps you don't want, set your phone up, and you could do a nand backup.
It can be a pain in the ass, but it's well worth it.

Use the unrevoked method. Then use a backup app like titanium, backup your stuff then go through the root process then restore your backup. There are plenty of guides on how to do this.

Titanium backup has a market doctor feature that links your backed up apps back to the market
Definitely root and use titanium backup. But keep in mind with a custom ROM you are going to lose everything you have. Any apps that store data on sd card will probably be fine.
What I did before I had Titanium Backup was flash custom ROM. Then once booted I make sure things look fine, fully sync to Google, then reboot. When I come back from that I turn on WiFi and go to market and Download section. Any apps I previously downloaded will be in that section waiting for me to download. Download them all at once, DO NOT leave that section before downloading everything again, or you will lose that list.
Once done, open apps and customize to liking. Then download Rom Manager if you don't have it already. Flash clockwork and let it do its thing. Then do a NAND backup from Rom Manager. Once that is done do backup with titanium backup.
Sounds like a lot of work, I know, but you only need to do this once. Then incremental backups with titanium and you are set. It is a lot of time up front but can save a ton of time and headaches down the road. Trust me here.

Lost Root ?, Root Tools Related ?

I had root and all was well. I have Android 2.2.1 Stock, Rooted. I have SU app, Wireless Tether, Titanium Backup, Root Explorer.
I downloaded Root Tools and ran the move cache to sdcard, seemed to work ok but then realized that none of my "Root" apps could get root access, even though it was approved in the SU app.
Still shows S-OFF, Still seem to be "Rooted" but nothing works.
Root Tools crashes whenever I try to use the move cache back to data.
any ideas.

[Q] I think I've unrooted my phone?!

I installed su-3.0-beta4-efgh-Sense3.5.zip which is something to do with superuser ... I think, by accident. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1250815)
And now, when I access Titanium Backup or any other app that required root, it tells me that I'm not rooted or that something went wrong with superuser.
Please help, how can I reverse this?
Many Thanks in Advance

nandroid? Reflash rom? Common sense really.
about superuser
Check your permissions in the superuser app options/settings and make sure titanium has su permission. If you dont have a superuser app, then you lost root. If you do then you do still have root, generally. Also make sure you have some sort of busybox installed, ive noticed that sometimes having a bad busybox or the beta busybox forces me to use the "force system busybox" etc options in titanium backup to work properly.

[Q] Issues Uninstalling Apps

Hello, I have tried to uninstall apps from my rooted M8 and I continue to get failures every time I try.
I have confirmed that it is rooted and that superuser and busy box are installed. I used the Hasoon2000 method to unlock my bootloader and root the device. I went with the TWRP 2.7.0.2 recovery.
What I am doing wrong that I cannot uninstall an system app?
The variant of the device I have is the T-Mobile M8.
Use Titanium backup to uninstall it. Or manually delete the APK files in system/app/ or system/priv-app/ depending on where it's located.
I would strongly suggest freezing system apps first (With titanium backup) and/or permanently as to make sure you don't get any whacky behaviour. If you do you can always unfreeze it but it may be harder to restore an app you uninstalled.

Have you enabled system read/write access? Either by flashing a module or a kernel?

I think I was able to identify the issue after a bit of researching. I did not have S-OFF. I took those steps and now it is working like a charm. Thank you everyone for all your help.

How do I properly un-xposed and un-root any ROM.

I would like to find out a solid way to un-xposed and un-root any ROM to gain access to snapchat. Then I can root it and xposed it when I'm ready. I had a titanium backup of snap and restored app+data but got logged off when I first launched it. I know xposed has an uninstaller so really I need to know how to fully unroot a ROM. The uninstall within SU did not work so if somebody can tell me what files need to be deleted or is there an unroot zip I can flash I'd greatly appreciate it.
