i am currently using the tuchimi rom. link http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1766999.
it already uses version 007 of of fauxs kernel. i am trying to update to version 013, http://rootzwiki.com/topic/29718-d2t...omsv013dec-02/. i wiped the cache and the dalvik first,my phone is stuck on the starting applications screen it took it 8 hours to to boot into the phone and then it was still laggy for an hour after being booted up. after that hour of being booted up i rebooted it as he says and it started taking awhile on the starting app screen again. it says on the developers page for the kernel that it will work on all stock based roms and i realize it says tmobile but the devolper says "ATT and Tmoible SGS3 uses a UNIFIED KERNEL to reduce duplication" . you will see that last bit if you click on the kernel link on the development page for the rom. please and thankyou for any help.

hmm have you tried a different kernel or going back to the stock kernel ? seems to me that the kernel isn't compatible with your rom.

are you pressing any buttons to get into recovery? or is it just bootlooping into it? you tried flashing an ruu? on second thought to flash an ruu, dont you need to have a locked, or relocked bootloader? and that requires fastboot, which is in hboot. damn. maybe you can send it off to htc?

First of all, the rom is fine. It boots fine, it installs fine. The partitions are fine (it has the same updater-script like CM9), so I VERY MUCH DOUBT that the rom deleted your Hboot or anything... Try downloading One V all in one tool and from there select reboot phone in bootloader. see if that helps.
Thanks,

hey guys... thanks for all the help, i din say anything about the new rom doing this... but well i flashed rc3.0 and restored data, that fixed it... and sounding incredibly stupid it seems my battery was low... anyway its fixed now... i'm gonna try flashing paranoid once more when my battery is fully charged...:good:

if you flashed a custom rom and then you did factory reset, then you are still on stock rom, factory reset deletes the data. So you probably just have a wrong kernel

You should use a kernel for cm9, hellboy or KISS-Kernel, look at the threads for the versions for cm9 :good:
I use boot-HELLBOY-CM9-201212251747.img but nothing change :S
You should use the cm9 kernel in the zip you downloaded. If that kernel doesnt boot, then try SuperSick Kernel.
I tried to flash cm10.1 from 9.1 stable but nothing would boot after. came to believe that they stopped anzu development at 10.0 so then wanted to flash for just 10.0. but i cannot escape the bootloader and thus cannot load the zip to my sdcard. i have tried flashing lt15i v. 4.0.2.A.042 using flashtool like 10 or more times it says it completes successfully but everytime, bootloop. ive tried the remove battery for 30 seconds and restart computer. still no luck. so pretty stuck now. can anyone kindly point me in the right direction?
ps im right about the 10.1 not being available right? is this what has caused this problem? also forgot to mention i fastboot the 10.0 img as well in the hope this might work and i also fastbooted recoveryimg afterwards.
edit: tried seus it just says i have latest update. pc companion wont connect because phone just keeps looping.
edit 2: i loaded the doomkernel which has allowed me to access cwm i performed a restore from one i had but it just loaded to a black lit screen. at a loss for where to go from here.

yeah that was actually my next course of action. to get the boot.img for 9.1 and flash that back on, see if that will get things working again. i got the cm from freexperiaproject. let me know if you have any further ideas for me or if you think this will work now when i give it a try. i will post back if i am successful or not.
thanks
edit: correction, i must have got 9.1 from cyanogen.org to be precise.
ps: once and if i get this back in working order, would you mind recommending which build i should go with for best solid usage. ie should i go with the nightly (probably not i would imagine) or like the 7.1.0 stable build or what have you. reason i was trying to go to 10.1 from the stable 9.1 was because of the wifi being dropped after a certain amount of idle time. i figured this had something to do with the build. anyways, let me know i would appreciate it.
edit 2: haha phone is back working, shouldve thought of that solution before, i guess im still learning the ins and out of these systems. do hope to hear back on what build you would suggest. thanks again

So last night I left my phone off and on charge to charge my main battery. I went to turn it on this morning and it won't get past the boot animation, even after 20 minutes. I've tried booting with both batteries, with no luck. I'm currently running PitchBlack 2.0 (4.2.2) and haven't had this sort of problem until now. I tried wiping cache+dalvik and that didn't work. I've left my phone sitting for a while still with no luck. Any suggestions? I wanna try everything before I try resetting my phone.

first try to let your phone sit for minutes without battery
if not, reflash your rom, or push kernel to your sd card and flash it

I reflashed my rom (flash+wipe cache+dalvik) and still nothing, so I'm gonna try and reflash AK Kernel and see what happens.
And flashing the kernel did nothing. I'm gonna wait and see if any more suggestions come up. If not I'll do a full wipe and either flash a new rom or PitchBlack 2.1.

I don't know... I'm waiting for my GNEX to come next weekend, so I don't have much experience with the device, but I had an HTC One X.. On the HOX I had a problem too, and I flashed the stock rom again and again untill it was solved
If this doesn't help and you are already on the stock rom, you could lock your bootloader and send the GNEX back under warranty..?

Depends on your needs. So that you know, the Aroma package is full package Gapps with an option to choose what app you want to install using scripts, still the same using recovery, but with graphical chooser.
Other package can do the same, but you need to make a file of list which app you don't want to install. But nano is good to go if only need the basic Gapps.
Personally, I like to leave /system with lesser app, lighter mean faster/smoother I believe. So nano it is.
