Has anyone successfully flashed this variant of the galaxy note 2 to boost mobile's network?
yes I have, do some searching and you'll find there has already been a lot of discussion and tutorials about it.

Hello,
I have the ability to purchase a T-Mobile Note 2 right now. The problem is my carrier is AT&T. I'm not interested in getting LTE to work only HSPA+, but will that even work? To do it, would I have to unlock it, how would I do that? Also once it is unlocked and working with AT&T, would I flash AT&T Note 2 ROMs or the T-Mobile Note 2?
Thanks,
Chughes13x
Man, how many of these TMobile on ATT posts do there have to be? Search before posting!
Yes it works, I get 8Mbps down on good days, worst I have seen is 2 Mbps. You will have to unlock your phone, SEARCH for the free unlock. I've seen it posted here, in the N7100 forums and S3 forums. You should be able to find easily. For roms, stick with the TMobile roms on a TMobile phone.
If you don't have plans on going to TMobile or LTE, I would suggest the N7100 international version. More rom development, faster firmware leaks and releases. I also got better battery life out of my N7100. I kind of wish I would not have traded my N7100 for the TMobile Note2. The TMobile version is easier to hack if you want to put it on an ATT dumb phone plan.
Is it possible to use the t-mobile note 3 on a cdma network? I don't intend to use it with verizon or sprint but I recently heard of ting and it looks promising. I was curious if, through flashing, it would work.

No. This question has been answered MANY MANY times in the past.
The reason Verizon and Sprint (maybe) models can be used on TMO or ATT is because those CDMA models use GSM for LTE, thus having BOTH radios. The TMO variant DOES NOT HAVE A CDMA MODEM. PERIOD.
is Google down?

Hi all, I have a Sprint note 4 and love it. However I also have a Go Phone sim from work and want to use this Note 4 on that network.
I have looked all over the web for days and can't find the answer - can the Sprint Note 4 be SIM unlocked for domestic USA use for AT&T?
I know that the radios are there for every network (much like a Google Nexus phone has all radios)...
Thanks.

Sorry but no. Here's a thread that will explain this issue. Read the OP for details.

Bummer, thanks for the info.
Hey everyone. I have a question about modems. I have this note 3 and have it updated to the Ota lollipop firmware. I have service with cricket which uses att network. I had to get this phone unlocked. I feel as if my service isn't as good as it was when I had an att note 2 with cricket. Anyway would it be advised to flash a modem from the note 3 att vatiant?

Did you flash a modem? Did you find any solutions? I have the N900T stock lollipop and the service is not good. I am thinking it has to be the modem, but I would like some guidance if someone knows how to get this fixed.
I'm in the same boat, only ATT via StraightTalk.
Compared to my previous ATT N2 this N900T is terrible for signal strength (I'm seeing 15 to 20 dBm worse - which is enough for "no signal" in many places I go). sigh
I would suggest the following (which I'm doing, too).
- figure out what modem (aka baseband, aka radio) you've currently got (settings / about / stat / Baseband version - mine's N900T UVUENK3)
- find a .zip version of that you can clash with TWRP or CWM
... so now you can get "back to where you started"
- now you can try various modems (there's a bunch listed in this post over on the ATT N3 forum) I haven't seen the same thing for our N900T.
My guess is that the ATT modems had ought to work fine - but maybe not. the N900T antenna has "N900A/T" molded into it - but - the radio module (if I'm identifying it correctly - the module near the microphone) is labeled TMO, and the N900A has one that's ATT. So... why would they do that if the hardware was identical?

I read that switching modems can lock up the phone
OK, I have looked and looked at a bunch of threads in this section, and I am either missing something, or I'm just totally blind. I just bought 2 T-Mobile M919 phones, and one of them i am going to Use on T-Mobile, but the other one, on Metro-PCS. I understand that there is 2 different versions of this model, the M919, and The M919N (METROPCS) . I know how to unlock them. (I found those threads) I know how to put Cyanogen on either.. But what i cant seem to find is, How do i take the M919 and use a SIM card from Metro-PCS and make it work. I'm sure i have to use a different Firmware with a different modem. But i am really confused as to where i can find all of this info that i need. I just cant seem to find it. I know that Metro-PCS uses T-Mobile networks, but i am sure there is a different APN for both.... Can some one direct me to a thread or a link or 2 to find this info... Any and all is appreciated.
I also used XDA to (Successfully) use a Samsung SGH-I727 Galaxy S2 (AT&T) W/ Cyanogenmod 11.2 and a different radio on T-Mobile!!
Again any and all help is appreciated!!!
