Hi guys,
After updating to JB, my light sensor isn't working anymore... When my screen brightness is set to auto, nothing happens when the ambient light changes.
My buttons also do not go out anymore.
I'm all stock, not rooted or unlocked.

Backup sdcard, apps and important data such as call logs, text messages etc and afterwards do a hard reset .
To do a hard reset Press power+volume down and hold them for a few seconds. you'll boot into a white screen with 3 android's skating. There you'll have an option for factory reset. select it, It will hard reset and wipe your phone completely. This should solve the issue mostly. Good luck

Trying to avoid a reset as long as possible. Since I have no root, I can't use titanium backup to restore everything :-\
Anyway, i did a few reboots, and the sensor seems to start working again... Only in the dark the buttons remain extremely bright, it's a lot brighter than before, and quite annoying...

Are you using power toggles?
If yes or not, open a video, change video brightnes and then check your system's autobrightness again.
If this solves and if you're using powertoggles, don't use it anymore, at least till the next update.

Try installing phone lock, apps lock application or anything like that to completely lock your phone and/or applications.
It'll be much more simple than to disabled the stock lock screen.

Moved to Q&A section.
Is it possible to re-map the volume down button to volume up? My volume down button hardly ever works, probably like 1 in 50 times I try to boot into the bootloader it works. Not really a problem if I flash something and it works as I can just get to bootloader with adb or power menu but when something goes wrong and I'm stuck in a boot loop, it takes like 10 - 20 minutes to get back into the bootloader.
Cheers
Don't think its possible, inside a running os it could probably be done. But i don't think it works when you are in a bootloop or such. The buttons (also power button) are hardcoded....
Just hold the power button, no need to hold volume down to force reboot.

Not entirely true. Adb is occasionally available provided that the ROM boot animation is running.
Sent from my IceCold One X
I was stuck in the HTC logo. The ROM animation wouldn't even load. That's why I was hoping there would be a way to re map the keys...I'd tried adb with no luck. All good now though but good to know adb is functional on the ROM animation.

Are you on stock Rom the speed dial is different in the 4.1 and 4.2 and if you are on stock rom it is impossible to miss. try factory reset if you are on stock and not rooted or clear cache and davik cache if you are rooted. or go in settings\apps\all and found Dialer and clear data and cache on dialer

Seems that I'll have to do factory reset... That's the last thing cause I'm unrooted, and don't want to delete all sms and stuff... It is there a way to backup this on htc??? Thanks for help though.
Yes try the app called helium.
