Oke let's try the viper x rom .... Then i will definitely know that it works !
Download the full viper x rom 2.6.0
Extract the boot.img and flash it, and clear the caches with fastboot commands
Fastboot erase cache
Before and after flashing the kernel !
Copy the rom to sd and wipe EVERYTHING in recovery ! Wipe all parts (caches, data, system etc ....etc )
Flash the rom and choose FULL WIPE and after that all the STOCK options.
I bet it boots !

tnx alot mate.
Take the boot.img file from the rom.zip and place it the fastboot folder on the pc.
Put the phone in fastboot USB menu
Give the fastboot commands
Fastboot erase cache
Fastboot flash boot boot.img
Fastboot erase cache
I assume you know fastboot commands because you probably flashed a recovery with commands before.

Then with fastboot commands you have to.flash the boot.img. I'm starting to worry that you have not been reading a lot before starting all of this !!! First know and understand what you are doing and going to try to do ! I

Download fastboot files from here http://d-h.st/18C
Extract files to c:\fastboot
Extract your boot.img from rom.zip to the same directory.
Open a command prompt, then change dir to fastboot dir
Use commands given by Marcel to flash the boot.img
It seems to me that you have never flashed the boot image files before, hence your roms never booted. Because of s-on status for our one X, flashing boot.img files using Fastboot is the only way.
Just a warning. You don't seem to know what is required to get this up and running. Maybe it's a good time to stop and think what you are doing. Just a friendly warning. Please read some first.

I think tuneon has some sweaty palms right now
Hello,
I have recently bought a second-hand HTC One X. When i bought the HOX it was rooted running the viper x 2.0.0 rom. I decided to change the rom to cyanogen 10 nightly. It was working fine but then i decided to install slim bean 3.0.0 and this was working fine too (this is what i have on my HOX right now). What i would like to do is install viper x 2.0.0 again or another sense-based rom. However i tried doing this and it does not boot. When i install it, it just loads the htc logo and then reboots again back into clockworkmod recovery?
I have tried various sense-based roms and none of then work? Also i know viper x 2.0.0 works because it was on there when i bought it.
Please can someone give me instuctions on how to do it.
Thanks in advance
P.S When i try to install the viper x or other sense-based rom i flash the boot.img using 'fastboot flash boot boot.img'
I have just fixed it i installed the latest version and worked the one i was installing must have been a ota update? anyway if u are stuck like me read this
after flashing the boot.img try "fastboot erase cache" it should work
erase cache always

Yes, i know this because i use winrar to extract the boot.img from the viperx.zip
What do u think i should do to make it work?
I was thinking do i need to flash a kernel that works for the viperx to work or does the viperx.zip already have a kernel inside the file?
At the moment i have : 2.6.39.4-cyanogenmod because i have slimbean installed which is based on cm10

The only thing i can think of is a bad download .....
If you flashed the kernel in fastboot, did a full wipe (superwipe script) and flash the rom it should boot ... It's just as simple as that !
And I don't see a modified boot.img in the OP of the blade rom either so that's not it !
I would gladly test it on my hox with 1.36 hboot but I can't until tomorrow in the evening .a

when you said you still can boot into viperx, you reflash the viperx ROM or just a reboot after failed attempt to boot Blade, it boots to viperx ?
Edit: It is either you use the superwipe script provided by MarcelHofs to really make a full wipe
or on your previous step that you mentioned:
1)flash boot .img
2)wipe date/factory reset
3)Wipe cache
4)wipe davlik cache
** format system <---- do this too
5)install zip from sd card
6)then reboot...
7)then stuch on htc logo on boot? it should boot

I think there is no need for you to waste your time to test the ROM. If he run your superwipe script, it should boot.
Check your PM.
What I personally did:
1. format /system
2. wipe data/factory reset
3. clear dalvik and erase cache
4. flash ROM
5. flash boot.img
No problem..

Hi all,
Really hoping someone can help me with this one.
I was quite happily flashing miui Rom to my one x from the Viper rom. . . Unfortunately after using fast boot for the boot image and CWM v5.8.4.0 to then flash the zip I have entered a boot loop from which none of the following has worked:
Recovery through CWM
Fast booted the original boot img i was using previously and tried recovery again
Tried factory reset and wipe everything and then fastbooted my previous boot.img and viper rom. . . .same issue (Hanging on Htc screen)
Tried the same with the bindroid rom too but no joy.
If I let the Rom continually reboot itself then I can get to the main screen on both Miui and the bindroid Rom but then both become unresponsive and then ultimately reboot again. . .
I've searched all over and cant find a resolution for this. .. . . .
Has anyone got any suggestions as to what it may be and what i can do?
Thank in advance for your help!!!!!!!!!!!
dont know if this has any relevance . . .

Hi Matt . . . If you mean factory reset in recovery . . .yes tried that. . . the thing i'm most perplexed with is when I re run the viper rom install, everything appears to go smoothly. . . no issues until it comes to actually having the ROM start up. (sorry for delay, has me as a new user one post every five mins max)
follow this steps:
1-download again the miui rom
2-go into fastboot
3- type:
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
Code:
fastboot erase cache
4-go into recovery
5-make a full wipe (cache, dalvik, data, system)
6-flash the rom and reboot

Thats just odd!
I was in the middle of doing a spaz check following your instructions to the letter. . .I "re fastbooted" the boot.img again as per the start of process for the viper Rom whilst wating for the Miui Rom to redownload (the last action was to run the viper install thingy prior to this) Then when I went to go into fastboot again to do all the wipes. the phone booted as if nothing had ever been changed!

Do a full wipe in recovery before you flash the rom
Clockworkmod recovery ?
Wipe cache partition
Wipe data/factory reset
Advanced - wipe dalvik cache
Mounts & storage - format cache, data, system
Flash the boot.img
Fastboot flash boot boot.img
Then flash the rom.zip and choose in the installer about the custom kernel NO !!!

do you get acces to cwm recovery.
If so try installing an other rom ( try something without sense like cm10 rom). an don t forget to flash boot.img after it.
