Try downloading astro file manager from market. Once downloaded open and go to preferences and check enable browser downloads box. Maybe that will help.

But to answer your question, check to see if the file isn't adding space after the name before you start your download.

The comment wasn't counter productive it was informative but you wouldn't know the difference since you can't tell the difference between a question and discussion. No big deal, as a mod would move it anyway.
Also if you read the second part of my comment you'd probably find that it does answer your question exactly. The browser is probably inserting a space after the name of your download thus forcing the download to fail. So you should check to see if that applies instead acting like a drama queen...

Development Threads. Please keep comments in general.

A mod has had to delete a thread for maintainance and explicitly tell people not to post off topic only to have the same thing just continue one thread over in the racing build thread unless that is really 13 pages of useful information. Instead of telling to people to stay on topic and continue the trend I made this post.
Could everyone keep the dev threads to dev posts. If you have a bug make a logcat. If you want to say thanks start a single thanks thread in general, I am not sure if thats kosher but at least if the mods have a problem with such thanks thread they can just delete it without having to go through and look for actually useful posts.

The people even reading this post are the people who probably don't need to be told. It Sucks because the annoying posters are ruining it for those following the rules. The most I type in a dev thread is f5 sigh.

I think they should probably close the thread for a day or two which would force people to make a thread in general. The mod warnings seem to be immediately ignored

It would just be easier for us to report the people who don't follow. People forget about the report button.
The same moderator has to clean one of the threads twice already. I wish all the Dev threads were cleaned up. There's a lot of garbage in a lot of them. People posting first, second, third.....downloading now, will report later. Or thanks! Your awesome.....there's a thank button for a reason.

Its kinda hopeless right now because if you look at the threads. A mod will clean it up and put up a notice to stay on topic and literally minutes later it will go back to offtopic posts.

They keep doing it cuz no one reports the individuals. If they are never penalized for their behavior, then they will never correct it.

People are reporting them and the mods are aware. Allgamer posted on this thread that they are aware of it. It just keeps coming from different posters.

Wait, what? How does that logic work?
It is easier for us to to go through and report each post so that a moderator is forced to look over each one and decide if it should be deleted or not than it would for people to act responsible for their own crap and just not post worthless stuff in a dev thread?
Sure it might be easier for me to just report each post instead of trying to educate anyone, but now because one person is doing whatever they please I have to report them AND a moderator has to take the time to go and delete it.

Aside from the fact that people are reporting people, it just doesnt stop and keeps going faster than the 60 second between reports rule sometimes

For those of us that DO want to follow the rules and prefer to follow the progress of the ROM, where do we go from here? I know the ROM is on sourceforge, so I can at least see if there are updates.
Should this have just been a PM, or are there others that share this curiosity?

ICS is awesome, but a lot of n00bs I have never seen post a single comment around here started posting out of nowhere lol.
I'm going to do something productive rather than be annoyed by these n00bs. I suggest you guys do the same.

I came from the G2 forum and own a sensation also. There seem to be more inconsiderate people here than either of those forums. I for one am glad those threads got shut down.

it would be opened shortly, but should be closed for now until it is cleaned up or until raver updates the ROM. So don't think it's the end of the world.

First off... this is Sprint GS3 thread/forum

Hyperdrive rom

I just wanted to give a shout to guys who made the hyperdrive rom, installed it on my gf s3 and it's pretty impresses. We wanted a s4 but got this s3 for a penny on att. Keep up the good work guys.........

There are many great Roms for this phone!! If I could make a suggestion? DeTmobilized 1.5 is an excellent ROM, stable, awesome battery life, great devs, and outstanding support!! Insane amount of customization!!

n00bs get scolded for breaking the rules.
As simple as that. n00bs tend not to search, read or post in correct places.
Its not that older members don't like newer members, it has come to be that a LOT of the newer people don't explicitly read the rules. If people took the time to read before posting, search before posting, post where they should, even just use google, XDA wouldn't be as cluttered as it is. But its no hard feelings, its just tough love to get people on the right path

Good to Go, OP glad you find the development impressive....another way is to just punch the thanks button to the Developer in the ROM thread you find to your liking not required or wanted, but those that put in so much effort don't ask, but will accept it.
As I stated just punching the Thanks button on the Developers thread is best....and that is totally free.

New Members should never be scolded as you say, if they have read and found the Forum Rules to their understanding. As Forum Rule #1 gets over looked so much....
And yes it can be overwhelming but a little homework and effort from Members will get them results and that is part of the learning, but so many just want to post and have it given to them....vice actually learning. IMHO
