I just got this phone two weeks ago, haven't dropped it once or anything. The metal trim on my home button along the bottom is falling off.
I haven't. Sounds like a defect... take it back.

Can I have your paint chips if you're not going to eat 'em? Yummy.
Yeah mines chipping as well. I think it's because I use my nails when I hit the home button

Has anyone else had Issues with the S pen 'making contact' when its only meant to be hovering?
I had a N7105 for a week with no issues...sent it back and picked up this N7100 yesterday. Starting noticing the issue today with a drawing app. I kept making marks when I was hovering!
Any ideas? Do I need to take it back?

I'm getting similar issues so would be great to find out if this is a common occurrence.

I also face same issues and its practically UNUSABLE due to this issue. I found an advise on youtube where removing the cap on the button on S pen expose a potentiometer and slightly turning the screw clockwise reduces the sensitivity of the S pen and can fix the issue. I haven't tried it yet but will certainly do in the near future and update here.
I still have the N7105 boxed and ready to be returned... could I swap the pens or do they only work with the device they are shipped with?

Stylus sensitivity
This is fixable by turning the tiny screw under the button of the stylus there's a thread about it

Cheers, I should have searched for this first.
It was suggested on this thread...

That a firm tap on a hard surface can fix the issue. Some people seem to have had success with that. I've tried it, but its too soon to say if its worked.
I don't plan on tweeking the sensitivity adjustment, because I've only had the handset for 2 days and would rather just return it as faulty.

The hard one, or the flip one?
The hard one. Just received it!

So far I'm pretty happy with it - all the ports are uncovered, the plastic around the screen doesn't get in the way of use and other than not being able to see the LED easily, it works fine. For the price they could have done a bit of a better job refining the case, painting it more uniformly, etc..
Likewise, although I find it a bit more difficult to get the back button to register my taps now.

I had dirt in the device since day 1, but now it's just getting really annoying seeing it. It's a little black spot on the top inside of my home button. I tried scratching it out but I couldn't, any advice on how to take it out?

Is that normal the screen haves a tiny and I mean almost micro separation from the metal frame it seems normal but the bottom of the screen isn't like that?
I have that too.
I thought it was from dropping it or something.
I almost noticed that gunk gets stuck in between it as well.

So maybe it's normal I'm not that worried because I keep my note 3 in a case but was a bit strange

Hi guys! Its my first time posting but I've been a member for a while. Anyway, to make a long story short, half of my S-Pen is stuck inside the phone. (The nib part) The other half is out. Any ideas on how to get it out? Thanks in advance!

I read it requires a piece of paper. Look it up online and you'll find it...I went and found it...http://www.sammobile.com/2015/08/29...-5s-s-pen-backwards-heres-how-you-can-fix-it/

Look up the drinking straw method too. I used that when I accidently put mine in the wrong way. Paper was too flimsy for me to get that to work. All functionality retained. Just don't pull too hard or fast.

Oh ok thanks! The S-Pen isn't in backwards. Its in the proper way but its just broken in half with half still inside. But i will try the paper and straw methods. I tried tweeezers but they were too big lol.

I was listening to music and my headphone wire got caught on a door handle. And it dragged the phone out of my pocket and the phone fell. Its crazy becuase the pen was tucked away. Btw the paper or straw method didnt work so im gonna get it repaired.

I had this same issue with mine. Back of the pen (the end with the clicking mechanism) randomly fell off the rest of the pen while it was still tucked away in the phone. Sent it to Samsung for repair and they fixed it for free and also replaced my screen for some reason. I should be getting it back today.

Really? They fix it for free? I was just about to go get it fixed at a local shop.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using XDA Free mobile app
Yup they took out the broken pen and sent it back with a brand new pen and screen. All free including 2nd day air shipping both ways.
