I had the original one for the Note where it friction fit into the game controller clip. Worked ok but I never really found any games that I liked that worked with the controller. I did play a few nintendo emulations that worked out ok. I do like the idea of having a case that attaches to the clip, I figured the felt from the friction fit would eventually come unglued and then you would be scratching the metal border of the note.
The cable included in then $19.95 kit is a mini usb (controller side) and a regular USB end, they include an OTG cable for plugging into the phone. At least that is what mine came with. So if you have a mini USB and OTG cable already, skip the wired kit. My kit did not come with instructions and I found the site's instructions confusing but there are several YouTube videos that describe how to use the Sixaxis app.
I got the original for my note too. I never really play any android games, but I loved playing the classic PC game Doom with it plus the emulators too were enough to make it worth it in my opinion.
Great investment!
Can anyone please suggest a phone case for Note n7000 for Universal Gameklip ?
I just ordered the Universal Gameklip from Ebay India, which do not include case.

Ruggedized case now sold sold to PatriotXT92
Item received! Kit is in excellent condition still all wrapped up as new for my unboxing pleasure Also included were some screen protectors and a case, above and beyond, very chuffed, thanks again Ronak.
Re usage, you can get vga converters for about £50
amazon.co.uk/HDfury-1080P-HDMI-Converter-Transcoder/dp/B000SOPWS8
This is dvi to vga but you can get a dvi to hdmi connector for a couple of quid. But yeh a hdmi enabled monitor is about £75 now, and whether a converter would even work or not i dont know. Would be great to have a way for sneaky full screen web browsing on my vga monitor at work...
Hey,
I'm looking for a Bluetooth/Wireless controller to play and emulate games on my 10.1v.
What's the best solution for now ? PS3, Wii, other ?
I want to be able to play without a wire and with a tool that is frequently updated (for better support). If it's not the right time (maybe some controllers have been announced), I'll wait as well...
Thanks !
I hear good things about phonejoy (http://www.phonejoy.net/product-description.html), however I haven't taken the plunge yet. Seems kind of expensive (after shipping) just for a bluetooth controller.
I did install the xbox usb module a while back and plugged in my xbox controller and that worked pretty good. My only gripe is having to plug in the usb adapter and the huge cord. So I am in the same boat as you. Still looking for the perfect bluetooth controller.
I've got XBOX controller but as you say...the wire is killing it for me. That plus that we have to buy that crappy USB adapator. Don't even know how does the Tab still stand when that port is connected.
What about the wii controller ? Any feedback ?
I use a PS3 wireless controller, works pretty well. You will have to "enable" the driver manually to connect the controller then you can launch your favorite emulator. You can find the driver from mkt place, but you also need to install the software on your PC to re-write the bluetooth mac address. all the buttons, joystick, directional pads, can be assigned to whatever key u want...
google "motioninjoy" for more info on the driver (sorry system wont let me post outside links...)
Thanks.
How would you describe it in terms of responsiveness/ease of use/app support ?
After some more digging, I think this solution works best :
http://www.engadget.com/2011/08/09/sixaxis-controller-android-app-makes-firing-off-hadoukens-easy-a/
There are a couple of vids on youtube demonstrating it, but it will basically take a dualshock bluetooth playstation controller ($20) and work wirelessly.
I haven't tested it out since I don't own the controller. I was about to buy one, when I realized that I spend most of my time playing tower or racing games designed for the tablet, which would not make use of a gamepad.
Thanks a lot. I'd be interested to know where you can get a $20 one too...
I've been using Sixaxis for a while now. It works great with no noticeable lag. I mostly use it for all the emulators. Fortunately I already had a PS3 so I didn't have to buy a new controller.

And...any good deal in Europe ?
Since Honeycomb provides support for various game controllers, I thought I'd give my Xbox 360 controllers a try. Neither the wired or wireless (via MS USB/wireless adapter) devices are recognised by my Xoom 2 ME.
I am using a USB OTG cable that works perfectly with a flash drive and a mouse.
Logcat shows no entries at all when the Xbox controllers are plugged in, which perhaps suggests that the stock firmware doesn't support them.
Has anyone else been able to get USB joypads or other game controllers to work with the Xoom 2 natively? I'm avoiding IME hacks and suchlike as I would like something that will work with the new controller APIs.
I know there's only about three people in the world (other than me) who actually bought the Xoom 2 ME, but surely one of you has a joypad you can test out?
I spotted a cheap-ish controller (£17) when out shopping and decided to give it a try.
I got the Power-A Air-Flo PS3 controller, which actually has an overall layout similar to an Xbox 360 controller (which is what I'm used to).
This was recognised by the X2ME straight away and I was able to have a quick game of Cordy with it. As a bonus, and since it's a standard HID controller, it works on my Ubuntu laptop as well.
So perhaps the X2ME is a bit fussier about its controllers than some other tablets, or perhaps there's additional tweaking needed to get the Xbox controllers working.
My ultimate aim is to be able to plug this tablet into a TV in a hotel room via HDMI and use it as a portable games console. Currently I'm having trouble with the Micro-HDMI to HDMI connection and I'm not sure if it's a problem with the cable, the socket on the X2ME, or some software issue. So far I have been able to get a picture to appear on the TV only intermittently and haven't yet had both the game controller and the HDMI output working at the same time.
Edit: Have just managed to get the HDMI out running for long enough to test with the controller and it worked really well. Once I have figured out the reason for the intermittent HDMI output, it'll be time to find games available for the X2ME that support an external controller
I realise I'm pretty much just talking to myself on this thread, so here's a picture to liven things up ;-)

i just tried two usb controllers
logitect rumblePad 2(normal pc game controller) that's works perfectly and a logitect chillstream (windows recognize it as an xbox360 controller) that's is not working (although powerup and tablet recognized it )
Thanks for the info. It is starting to look like there may be an issue recognising Xbox-type controllers, though it's based on a rather small sample at this stage

Very cool. Thanks for the info! I may try and get my Classic Controller + WiiMote to do the same thing via Bluetooth, which I've done before on my old G2.

I was looking forever for a good mount for an xbox 360 controller since I have several laying around and no PS3 controllers, and found a 3d printed one you can buy at shapeways:
http://www.shapeways.com/model/1443...li=gmerchant&gclid=CJOBg8WB6roCFchQ7AodJX4AJQ
I got mine a couple days ago and it's light, a great fit and seems much more durable than it looks. You need an OTG cable to use a wired or wireless adapter for 360 controller, but works amazingly well. Especially if you pair it with Kainy and a powerful PC.
Hi,
it is possible to use Nvidia Shield Game Streaming with the Pixel C or you think it might work later

I have streamed games outside of Steam. If they are listed under "Games" in your GeForce Experience program on your PC, then they should be displayed and stream through Moonlight.

Moonlight is definatly the go to for gamestream. Even on my Nvidia shield tablet i prefer it over the stock option. There are a few issues though. For one, the non-root option is very restrictive. The bluetooth support is terrible as most devices will not work. Even the Pixel C keyboard doens't fully work while sttreaming. A normal workaround for this though is to just use an OTG cable and a controller however I'm having a hell of a time finding one that works. I purchased the Type-c Male to type-a male PC cable hoping to use that with some of my existing adaptors but no luck at all. Thinking its just the adaptor compatibility issues with usb3.1, I just ordered the male C to female A cable and hoping that solves my issues but to be perfectly honest its going to be a dealbreaker for me if it doens't.
Considering I bought this tablet soley for the x1 chipset I'm hopeping this cable works out. Especially considering no SD card slot
[Update]
I recieved the USB Type-c male to Type-a female adaptor from google today and it solved my issues. With stock settings and the non-root version of Moonlight with a xbox one controller Moonlight performed flawlessly. Unlike the Nvidia shield Tablet, the Pixel C allows moonlight to use the h.264 decoder for an even better response time.
While not immediately obvious, the google play description for moonlight has a link to port forwarding directions if you wish to play away from home. But on a fiber to fiber connection Games are perfectly playable.

I just wish Nvidias key mapper for the controller was available for all controllers lol
That thing was amazing and easy to set up!
I use moonlight with the bluetooth 8bitdo nes30 pro gamepad. Everything works perfect.
