We have a N7100 that can go into download mode. In Odin it just keeps reporting that 'can't open serial (com) port. Same with Heimdall. Just trying to get to factory image.
c'mon
Or can someone just boot their N7100 into download mode and tell me what yours says? Rooted or stock will tell me.
can help but heres what mine says (not rooted and 100% stock) running 4.1.1
ODIN MODE
product name: GT-N7100
Custom Binary download: no
Current binary: samsung official
system status: official
Thank you. I was pretty it wouldn't warranty with that output.
Somehow going to have to revive it otherwise it's just a dud.

Hello Guys
I'm here to get some help ^^"
My galaxy Note 2 has some sound problems, so I have to send it back to Samsung in order to repair it.
My phone was rooted and had a custom Firmware.
So I downloaded Triangle Away to keep my warranty and bring the flash counter back to 0.
But it doesn't work :s The "Custom Binary Download" still is at "Yes (1 counts)" and I don't know why...
I have a full stock ROM and Recovery installed with Odin, and this is what is displayed right now when I go through Download Mode:
ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: GT-N7100
CUSTOM BINARY DOWNLOAD: Yes (1 counts)
CURRENT BINARY: Samsung Official
SYSTEM STATUS: Official
My only problem is the Custom Binary Download. I don't know how to change it into "NO".
It would be awesome if someone could help me ^^
Thanks !

Hi i think you have to do this on the recovery :
wipe cache / wipe data / and wipe cache again, then you will see the counts 0.
You should try it

As long as you have a custom recovery it will remain as 1. To get it to zero you will need a stock rom with stock recovery.

But if you "read" the OP he has mentioned that both his ROM and recovery are stock.

No, OP have used Triangle away while on custom ROM then he flashed stock ROM and so his flash counter was unchanged
Anyway i have direct him on another thread and issue has been solved.
Hi everyone.
Is there a flash counter in Tab 3 7.0 (SM-T211)? After playing around with CWM, I've flashed to an earlier stock official ROM. In download mode, it now reads:
ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: SM-T211
CURRENT BINARY: SAMSUNG OFFICIAL
SYSTEM STATUS: OFFICIAL
HW REV: 0x6
No mention about any flash count here but, I'm not sure what the last line mean, I don't remember what's its value before I flash it

Hello. Thanks for replying. How do you confirm it is 0? I can see that it is not displayed in Download Mode, but I'm not certain if it store this "count" somewhere internally or not.
Hi,
I had stock 4.3 firmware on my att i747 galaxy s3, then I decided to flash cyanogenmod. everything went well but i dont really like it.
Now I want to go back to stock. I tried flashing the stock rom with odin but it fails and it says this on the phone:
ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: SGH-I747
CUSTOM BINARY DOWNLOAD: Yes (2 counts)
CURRENT BINARY: Custom
SYSTEM STATUS: Official
QUALCOMM SECUREBOOT: ENABLE
Warranty Bit: 1
BOOTLOADER RP SWREV: 2
SW REV CHECK FAIL : Fused 2 > Binary 0
The android version it shows is 4.3.1 and im able to use it normally with the cyanogenmod.
What can I do to flash a stock rom back?
EDIT: used triangle away and the custom binary download says "no" now and the current binary says "samsung official" but still get the same problem.
Thank You
Watch out with the double threads. Some people can get cranky about it.
So I recently bought a galaxy s3 from a friend and tried rooting it today, but something went horribly wrong and it won't work.

This is what it says at the top of the screen.
ODIN Mode
Product name: SPH-L710
Custom Binary Download: Yes (1 counts)
Current Binary: Custom
SYSTEM STATUS: Official
Dualcomm Secureboot: Enable
Warranty Bit: 0
Bootloader RP SWREV: 1

Bump!
I am using the GS3 Toolkit v7.5.1 on a Sprint SPH-L710 totally stock untouched ROM.
I kinda made an alteration by adding the TWRP Recovery v2.6.3.1 for this Sprint GS3 variant, and renamed it to the TWRP recovery included with the Toolkit i.e. TWRP 2.5.0.0
Now while going through the Root/Recovery (ALLINONE) option, when Odin comes up, it sends the boot.img fine, but is now stuck on sending down recovery.img.
But I don't know enough about Odin or the GS3, to know if I can just shut down Odin, and it'll trigger the phone to reboot and I can not be sneaky, replace the original recovery, and try again?
This is what my phone says on the "Downloading..." screen
Code:
[COLOR="Red"][B]ODIN Mode[/B][/COLOR]
Product name: SPH-L710
Custom Binary Download: [B][COLOR="Green"]No[/COLOR][/B]
Current Binary: SAMSUNG Official
SYSTEM STATUS: Official
Qualcomm Secureboot: ENABLE
Can I shut down Odin, and manually reboot the phone to the Download mode, and repeat the process?
PLEASE Help!
