Recently I've noticed that after some of my apps download and install they are installed to one of the homescreens instead of in the app drawer like they are supposed to be. When I go to then install the app on a homescreen (silent toggle widget) and the procedure takes me to the home app drawer after a long press on an empty space on a homescreen I cannot select the app because it is not in there. No other way to select the app because I can't select an app from a home screen.
Not related to JB upgrade cause it was happening from before the upgrade. Short of a factory reset is there anything I can do? Anyone got any ideas?

I feel like an idiot asking this, but I tried looking on my phone left and right...
On the bottom of the home screen with the 3 apps, the middle one directs you to all of the apps on the phone..But I lost that, and now its just a star..How do I restore it? Thanks!
PS-Any settings for this?
What rom are you running? Im going to guess cm6. If i recall from memory you just need to hit menu on the home screen then select settings. On that list goto launcher or something like that its been a while since i ran cm. Anyway there is options for the launcher and soft keys there.
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA App
I recently ran into this problem while using ADW. At your home screen long click and add a custom shortcut. then select adw launcher actions, then chose open/close app drawer.. once thats on your home screen click and drag the icon to the drawer... you should be all set, of course that is if you are using ADW
I would of never figured this out. Thanks so much my friends!
I have the latest sleeper rom on my phone, and noticed what seems to be a bug. I accidently put an app where the app drawer was trying to throw it away, and had to completely redo the rom to correct it. Is there a way to add it back without a fresh install? I tried just wiping dalvik and cache and reflashing, but it was still there, and could't find app drawer to add back anywhere through the menu, also yes I now know the trash is at the top. Thanks in advance, Eric
Which launcher are you using?
If it's Go Launcher (which has trash at the top), you just need to drag an item off your dock, which will leave an open space with a + icon. Tap the + icon and the App drawer shortcut is in the top-level list of options to add.
I was using the adw launcher that came with it, it would not let me drag it away and there was no app drawer or app grid or anything to add to put it back. Don't know if it was a bad dl, first time I dl'ed it it wouldn't install. I went to use the camera and it failed so I went back to cleangb. I will wait for another release to try it again.
Just grab another launcher from the Market like Zeam.
longpress anywhere on the screen ...select launcher actions-open/close drawer....then drag it down to the dock bar once its on your home screen
Hi Folks
Sometimes when some apps update from the play store their shortcuts disappear from the home screens (if I have paced one there), the app itself will still be present and correct in the app drawer, but there are empty spaces on the home screen where their shortcut was before the app was updated.
Their seems to be no rhyme or reason to when or which apps have there shortcuts removed. Some will go several updates with no change then suddenly they're gone, others do it every time they update and some never do it.
Is there a reason for this behavior? Is there a way to prevent it or at least understand when it will happen?
Sometimes I don't realise the shortcut is missing until sometime after several app updates and then I'm flicking through my home-screens and there is a blank where there shouldn't be and I'm wondering what app I had there...
This is with a stock HOX with the most recent android/sense.
Thanks
As far as I know it should not remove the icons from the Home screen if the app is just updating. It's possible some update actually remove the original application and install the new update such cases it may remove the shortcut from the Home screen since there is an uninstall process happening after the installation.
the home screen goes blank without any widget or app icon once in a while when i exit from an app. they come back after i open the app drawer.
any way to solve this?

Same problem...
I had the same issue with Pac-Man Rom on my GT-I9105P.
Seems to occur less often after I activated the "Pinch to enable expanded desktop" option in Settings -> Pac-Man -> Home screen -> General
Don't know why, though. Just played around with some settings to see if it gets better.
This seems to be a common bug of Trebuchet.
You can completely avoid it by installing a different launcher (like Apex Launcher).
I am new to Nova. In my playing around and setting up, I switched back to Google Now Launcher. When doing so, most my icons on my home screen disappeared and my app store totally disappeared. Switching back to NOVA revealed the same situation. I recovered with a TWRP back up, but is this action normal when switching between launchers?
Did you check to see if Nova hid the app store? Long press a blank space on a home screen in Nova and select 'Settings' in the overlay that appears. Navigate into 'App & widget drawers', then 'Hide apps' (under 'Drawer groups'). Confirm that 'Play Store' is not checked in the list that appears.

I will check for that if the problem happens again. So I should be able to switch between the two launchers without any ill effect? I have been afraid to try ever since.
Somebody else might chime in, but I've never had a problem with multiple launchers installed on the same device. My G4 has the Google Now Launcher, Nova, and the in-built LG Launchers and I can switch between them or assign a default without issue.
Hey guys, can anyone help me to find LP Theme from Percy921-last version?
