WYSIWYG editor for XDA (Google Chrome extension) - About xda-developers.com

Hi.
I am a developer of WYSIWYG BBcode editor -WysiBB.
I created extension for Google Chrome to use WysiBB on XDA(not only XDA). With this extension message input much more*convenient.
The demo video: youtu.be/BESis7n4SlQ?hd=1
You can Install it from here: chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/wysibb-wysiwyg-bbcode-edi/hhjndhcbbnkoopmgdlcpdbnegjkglbhh
Enjoy it!

Iirc, Xda already has a wysiwyg editor...

Kidcarter everywhere!
But a few things need to be fixed.

Looks interesting. We already have a WYSIWYG editor, but yours looks somewhat different.
Nice job :good:

Hi @a.cid,
sorry to ask again in this old thread.
But as a long time Firefox user, I am also missing the Wysiwyg editor on Chrome now.
You said there is a Wysiwyg editor for XDA. Am I missing something on Chrome, or was this not referring to Chrome at all?
I am confused a bit. The above plugin works basically but is not fully compatible to xda bbcode it seems.
Thanks for clearing the confusion up for me.

Thanks, I have the enhanced Wysiwys editor selected here.
But I still get bbcode into the text when chosing to format, not a real Wysiwyg way of doing it.
It was working on Firefox, but not on Chrome.
So you say I should get a full Wysiwyg also on Chrome? Where a text which I mark as bold is showing bold while I edit, and not only adding the [ b ] and [ / b ] bbcodes?
Thanks
Andi

Hunh, apparently it doesn't work on this theme/editor. I recall it used to work, but I still get the normal bbcodes despite the advanced editor. Maybe an admin can shed more light?

I am also struggling to put the weather just beneath the clock. I found Mini Weather but its in Chinese. I hope some one can translate it.
Edit: I managed to put ElecontWeather but at the iconbar which doesnt pleases my eyes.

[REQ] Titanium Plugin Calendar

Hi all,
first of all tnx to this forum for all the knowledment, threads and stuff.
Someone can realize a Titanium Plugin to replace standard calendar entry?
I mean, all people love this weather so much?
Please someone think also to satisfy who needs appointments always in the main screen (maybe the next fixed and others scrolling over time in two rows or more!)
Ps1: sorry 4 my english
Ps2: i hope someone can realize it!
cya
Just in case people don't understand his bad english. I believe he would like to have something that shows a calendar and/or more appointments visible as a titanium plugin.
I agree with him as the default one is a joke.

+1, would love this aswell!!
me, too. i would very much love such a plugin. unfortunately i cannot make it myself, because i have no knowledge of programming whatsoever, but if any of you crazy people here on xda needs an idea of a useful app, please put it on your things-to-do-list somewhere.
canalogclock by rpereira shows calendar with latest appointment
What we need is a titanium plugin, that can integrate a *.dll file. And than we can do in this plugin a prog like SPBDiary or PocketBreeze or other Progs. That was fantastic.
We will have a look for JMLToday later Version, that more than 1 appointment will be displayed /can be used by Skinners. Must be made by windows-API - Registry only shows next app. (like you know from 5.3 and 5.4)
Is the Part of JMHL in JMLToday - so I cannot promise it. I sended him API-description. Otherwise I would try to write it in JMLLibrary in C++ - but it would be better direct in JMLaction.exe
That nobody made something like messages2reg also for appointments? mmh... Would be cool for much plugins
I'm still looking for a plugin that shows more than one appointment and lets create or edit. CHeroclok shows the appointmens but only one and don't let me edit or create new ones. Any ideas?
You can modify the .cpr to show next meeting with condense view, and scrolling the panel will show next meetings

What about a nice calendar + tasks plugin ?
If I'd been able to develop such a one, it'd be available for download here... But obviously I'm not a -good- developer !
@camporese:
In JMLToday 5.5. you can see the next 4 Apointments of today and tommorrow:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=540413
In 5.6 it will be chooseable to as much appointments you want and up to 365 days.
I'm almost finished with Beta of the new Plugin (didn't had much time) , which also uses this system - name is "Blue Prodigy" - sorry for the small pic:
It will be skinable and you see on the second picture that you can see 3 Appointments and with the Arrows you see the 3 before or the three after. In normal view (topmost Pic) you see the next apointment
Perhaps this can fulfil your needs. You will need at least JMLToday 5.5 for BlueProdigy -Plugin.

Added a note, then went back to edit title, confirm save box appeared behind onscreen keyboard, hid keyboard and the confirm change popup disappeared and app crashed.
Other than that, nice simple app.

Unfortunately this is quite difficult and beyond my ability... Hopefully at some point HTC will redesign Manila with plug-ins in mind. Until then... we can only bug them to do it!
Other languages might be a good addition
Thought this would have a Manila look and feel. Still, good work.
Shame you're going to end development here as I know a lot of users would like a more workable and full-featured task management in Leo.
Priority levels and due dates are now included in the new version

I hope HTC will open manila up a bit more to the devs. I know in theory how to do it, but it's a lot of work like you say. If I had the time I might have a bash at it. First job will be to tweak the layout xml (mode9). Anyways...
Very nice app! Maybe you could add a simple category editor and the possibility to pick a category from a drop down box when you edit a task.
I like the layout.

Categories for the time being are generated automatically based on what can be found in tasks... A nicer editor is my current priority though
A really nice application. Congrats. I would love to be able to use selected text options in the edit field (long press in the memo box) so I could copy, cut and paste. This is something I really miss and everybody too.
Additionally it would be great if you could scroll with your finger not using the vertical scrollbar but directly in the text (just like you can in Message Compose in Manila)
Great app.
Great!
Hi All,
This app looks simple and spot on in my mind. Cannot imagine why HTC has left out task capabilities in HTC Sense (and why the standard today plugin task app in windows mobile is so basic)... anyway: this would make out the perfect fit for me, IF it had possibility to filter out future tasks (so that only todays due - or overdue tasks would be shown). Great work anyway!
... but "please please" as for the filtering option
/Lars

Chrome to phone - rocks!

Just thought I'd give everyone a heads up - I can't believe I have lived without this for so long. Just fantastic.
Agree, fantastic tool.
Im using mozilla as there is an add-on for that too.
So, except for google maps and youtube videos what other uses for ChromeToPhone are there?
Well, you can push any link to your phone and not depend on QR codes. I think thats cool. Just an example, you come across a nice picture you want to use as a wallpaper. Just push a button, beats fiddling with bluetooth/usb after DLing or even using a QR code generator.
Totally agree!
This's just amazing!
I love it and I'm sure I'll use it often!

You're able to dial a phone numbers. You just have to select the phone number in the browser then click on the button. It'll directly send it to your phone and open the dialer application.
Also you're able to select a text and after you click the button in the browser it will be copied in your Android clipboard
Totally! I've used it a couple of times today already.
The fact that it sends maps straight to Google Maps on the phone is gonna be super handy for trips.
I was looking for this. Awesome tool!
It is cool, but it needs to be able to go the other way too.
How many times have you clicked on a page that's slow or cumbersome on your phone, one that's just better suited to your laptop browser? Would be so handy to be able to send from phone to chrome.
It was raised on the code.google site but they said they're not working on it

It is a puch service so your phone doesn't actively check for the links sent to the phone but it is pushed to the phone and then the phone downloads it.
Just how the push email works.
Clever stuff!
Can you use it for file transfer, eg put the file into dropbox, copy the shared link, Chrome2Phone and download from the phone's browser?
EDIT: Just realised, there's a Dropbox app, er, for that.

I rewrote the entire application and I decided to make the UI a little simplified but I improved the navigation and I think It's great! I removed the scheduling feature and I'm rolling back to version 1.0 but you can still download the older version below.
So What's new in this version
Drag the window from top to bottom to close the app
Animations
Shutdown, Hybrid (most requested feature for Windows 8), Restart, Lock, Logoff, Sleep, and Hibernate buttons
Simplified buttons. They are now on the center. And also, cleaned up the UI.
This should support Windows 7
remember that this is a WPF application. Not a Windows8 metro style application.
Download SystemPowerShortcutsSetup.msi

@OP
Can a tile do different things depending on where you touch/click it?
The Power shortcuts is a great idea. However, taking up one tile per function is a waste of screen space. If it were possible to divide the tile into 4 quadrants, and have a function in each quadrant, that would be preferable.
Otherwise, I'd prefer a two-touch design: Activate tile to have a pop-up menu, then select from pop-up.

Excellent work on this app which is much needed in Windows 8. I used the older version with the option to close the app in lower left corner since this is more suited to non touch screens. Your link for that version doesn't work though and I had to google to finally locate it.
