12 button HD action screen

Hi Everybody, this is my very first post and minor work for the HD. All advice/suggestions are welcome!
I have change and amend the graphic and layout of the action screen from ammar_12_button_HD_action_screen.
Basically, I don't have much knowledge on how action screen are being done, all I did was just design the layout and replace it with the original plus amend some value in the registry.

missed a way to toggle WiFi faster than opening Config-Maila-Tab and open connections.
(most other known programs don't work with the Touch HD - "WiFi not found")

Use any registry explorer and go to:
HKLM\\Software\HTC\Biotouch\ActionScreen\
APP_0 for Email
APP_1 for SMS
APP_2 for FM Radio
APP_3 for Alarm
APP_4 for Task
APP_5 for Note
APP_6 for Contacts
APP_7 for Wifi
APP_8 for Bluetooth
APP_9 for Camera
APP_10 for GPS
APP_11 for Shutdown
Choose APP_10 and edit the path for your igo8 location or anything u want to replace.

Hi howeyeo,
I have modified App3 path to \Windows\Clock.exe (instead of G-Alarms) so that it runs on my HD.
However, this icon and App is not very usefull. We can tab on TF3D Home clock to do the same. Is it possible to replace by Calendar?

...is it possible to edit to have fewer buttons? I would want just Camera, GPS, Alarm, WiFi, Bluetooth, Task, Note, and Radio (access the others on my home screen so kinda duplicated)?

The way to change is not so difficult, AFTER installation,
1°) Download on your pc the programm : BrnConvert.exe (from the web),
2°) Copy to your pc the file : AS_Bkgd_1.brn from : Windows\ActionScreen,
3°) On your pc, run BrnConvert.exe. It open a new window where you drag the file AS_Bkgd_1.brn. After conversion you obtain a new file : AS_Bkgd_1.bmp
4°) You edit the .bmp file with photoshop ...
5°) By the same way go convert your edited .bmp file to .brn file and copy back to your pc
The problem is how to make so pretty icons as the model ... you need to be sharp with photoshop. I've tried to make a calendar ... I give up

Ok, this edits the images and so I can delete those I don't want to use (and I get your point about making new ones but I just want to rearrange and remove so I should be ok)...but how do I then map the correct command to the correct button (which I guess would have to be defined by pixel location)?
But I am experimenting with Chome editor and can add a programs page now for most things I want to run, biggest help would be command line for switching WiFi on/off...does this exist?

these icons are very cool! I love them so much I made a little [MOD] to fit my config, here's the changelog:
-Translated labels to italian (thanx puorro for MS Paint patient work)
-Redirected Alarm button to Klaxon Alarm in storage card
-Redirected GPS button to QuickGps
-Immediate Soft Reset (no confirmation asked)
Thank you howeyeo for your original (at least the icons) ActionScreen, are there any additional buttons we could use to better customize it? For example I would like a better symbol for Softreset(riavvio), the one I got means switch off.I'd love a RSS icon too Would be great if they were available.

Titanium Layout for WM 6.5 Phones

Here is my rendition of the titanium sliding home screen.
I have included a cab file to install. After install, reboot, and then go to settings-->home screen-->and on the Layout, pick Titanium Media Topbar.
This was installed on NRG's 6.5 energy ROM so i don't have any testing on whether or not this works properly on ookbas 3Volution ROM. It also is intended with the topbar in mind. I'm not sure what it will not look like if you dont have the topbar already installed. Please use at your own risk. It should uninstall cleanly for anyone wanting to remove it, however if you have installed rickwyatts version it may leave behind some reminants, so you may want to try and uninstall his first before installing mine.
Thanks go out to NRGZ28, rickwyatt and frauhottelmann with their assistance in getting this layout to this point.
There is a settings panel right now, but it doesnt display any images. If anyone wants to talke this, let me know what a fix would be and i will include it in the .cab.
edit: I've included reflective gmail and yahoo mail icons as well for the mail panel

A Because its the titanium panel layout
B Because you are on the time panel, not on a contacts panel.
its quite an easy change if you're familiar with editing the registry. go to HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Chome\CClock then edit the two values SK2TEXT and SK2URL..... change the SK2TEXT to read Contacts and the SK2URL to read :MSCONTACTS then exit your registry and if you have chome refresh use that. otherwise reboot your phone.

I would love to have the time panel somewhere in the middle set as default...
and all the other panels arranged up and down the way i like them the most...
That would be killer option...

[THEME] New WVGA - TouchFlo 3D / Manila Theme

I made a conceptual theme for our Blackstone, because i don't know anything about how skin, I'm asking for help.
1.) I's such a skin possible?
2.) Do you like it?
3.) Wanna help me create this Theme
This is only a sketchy concept there is still a lot of work to do.
Design all icons, choose the right scale for the elements, make clean shining graphics and optimize the colors for the device and so on...

as far as I see this, it doesn't burst possibilities of skinning manila - you will just have to replace several images, but that is something you will have to ask people who know how to do this ;-)

I can't just implement them into the background because every tab
has the same background....or is there a way to change that?
For the font i don't have to be black&white...just black would be enough for the start.

ok, the way you had the black&white it would even be possible, as far as I know just font that is white at the moment on this pictures stays white.
about the backgrounds: if you just want to change background on home tab, and leave the same on the other ones: no problem, that's possible with apps like hdwall, but if you want to have similar, but not the same backgrounds vor every tab you will need to go to the XPeria section, where user rotastrain works on a "different background on each tab" addition.
you can pm me also in german as I am german, don't think people would appreciate another spoken language in threads than english...

not at all you dont need Wisbar Advance... as I said just use HDwalls, it is certainly much more easier... and free! you can easily:
- customize bottom bar icons of TF3D (no need to be an expert, you have a very simple program for that)
- customize the top and bottom bars png of wm as long as you have a wm6.5 ROM and that you tick the option on HDwalls...
so now I'm just waiting for the theme
PS: to customize font colors and clock of TF3D you can certainly use Max TF3D Theme maker... very easy also to use

Added a note, then went back to edit title, confirm save box appeared behind onscreen keyboard, hid keyboard and the confirm change popup disappeared and app crashed.
Other than that, nice simple app.

Unfortunately this is quite difficult and beyond my ability... Hopefully at some point HTC will redesign Manila with plug-ins in mind. Until then... we can only bug them to do it!

Other languages might be a good addition

Thought this would have a Manila look and feel. Still, good work.
Shame you're going to end development here as I know a lot of users would like a more workable and full-featured task management in Leo.

I hope HTC will open manila up a bit more to the devs. I know in theory how to do it, but it's a lot of work like you say. If I had the time I might have a bash at it. First job will be to tweak the layout xml (mode9). Anyways...

Very nice app! Maybe you could add a simple category editor and the possibility to pick a category from a drop down box when you edit a task.

Categories for the time being are generated automatically based on what can be found in tasks... A nicer editor is my current priority though

A really nice application. Congrats. I would love to be able to use selected text options in the edit field (long press in the memo box) so I could copy, cut and paste. This is something I really miss and everybody too.
Additionally it would be great if you could scroll with your finger not using the vertical scrollbar but directly in the text (just like you can in Message Compose in Manila)

This app looks simple and spot on in my mind. Cannot imagine why HTC has left out task capabilities in HTC Sense (and why the standard today plugin task app in windows mobile is so basic)... anyway: this would make out the perfect fit for me, IF it had possibility to filter out future tasks (so that only todays due - or overdue tasks would be shown). Great work anyway!
... but "please please" as for the filtering option

Oh my, not another tab in Manila! Information about tasks on the Home tab that is clickable and allows to launch an appropriate application is the way to go for sure.

but my last problem is, how can i remove the day counter in the calendartab or better, change the size of the number?
and how can i make the big picture, when i click a tab sharper?
