Has anyone that has upgraded to 4.1.1 noticed any weird shading on the lockscreen? I know it wasn't like that before I did the update.
No. Mine is jet black. Do your notification lights work

Like I posted in the other thread:
I think it has been like this. It make it looks like the lockscreen is underwater. I think it's done on purpose because my note 10.1 on ics is the same way. Turn the ripple effect off and it will go away.

Actually the link I found was dead but I found the old thread kbizzle had for his port of AOKP and it mentioned using root explorer to turn them off. I tried the method and now my buttons are off but the lights are still on. But I quit tinkering when I went to work.

Well ****aki. I saw the same dead link you saw. But I thought the device settings in aokp would shut them off like CM9 but to no avail they keep turning back on.

Correction, leave the setting checked in device settings and if u go to system/usr/keylayout and delete those four lines in sec.touchkey.kl and save then reboot, it will completely disable the buttons and lights.

Didn't want to disable the entire buttons just lights. But someone suggested to me enable the light with the checkmark then reboot, it's backwards for some reason.

Like the idea of a navbar, but I just can't do it when I have a capacitive buttons. Lol but that's apparently how to solve the lights problem, working for me so far.

Yeah having both is definitely asinine but I thought is was something different to look at for once. But either way I don't dig the lights or the fact it uses battery.

No need to have the mods remove it, and actual it is useful info. I would change the title to [Solved]Button Lights Off | AOKP
and then put in OP the way to solve those lights like i said.

I have been getting pretty bored of the aosp lockscreen and thought why not modify the original circle lock. If anyone is interested in this please let me know. I'm not sure if this should be a thread just yet so don't flame me.. I want everyone to be part of the creation of this mod!
Atm I made a small edit to the smali... >.>
I changed the small circle to expand and the big to stay large .
What can make this lock screen better?
Mods I plan on doing soon
Remove help text.
Change the clock somehow.
Modify the animations.
Download.
I won't be linking any downloads right now... as it's pretty much the stock lock besides the animation backwards.
Definitely over the aosp lock myself. The stock TW one is my favorite so I think a modified version would be epic. Can't wait to see what you come up with!

Tw and aosp combined would be epic. So like tw you can touch anywhere on the screen and lock screen appears but you can have shortcuts to the circle!

That pertains this thread how?
If you go back to ICS or a CM/AOSP/KP rom you'll notice how dim it is compared to JellyBean TW. I prefer it almost dimmer. When on CM I flip my phone over so I dont have to see the bright light illuminate my room.

Brightness of LED Notification depends on lux in the room. Try it, place phone in bright place and turn screen off then in some dark room. Was I the first to figure that out or dead topic is dead.

I'm using Liquid Smooth, do you have any idea how I take screenshots? There's navbar where I can but for some reason, the navbar has glitched out and is pitch black. Plus I don't want the navbar to be in the screenshot.
