Switched to Nova launcher and am really liking it so far. Only thing I miss is the calander widget from Touchwiz that will actually show the month with appointments visible.
Is there anything like that for Nova?
You widgets should still be the same. Unless you are running a asop Rom.

The widgets are attached to the TW launcher so they won't be there. Check out Pure Calendar in the play store...
business Calendar free has very similar widgets, and they can be themed.

Loving Nova, really fast and clean.
I used Agenda until I found Android Pro Widgets (APW). I like APW since it also has a Facebook widget that I use for as my Facebook app instead of the actual Facebook app. Works for me.

Is there away to install the sense Widgets on to cm6 or other froyo roms. I know titanium backup can save them but they wont install

Definitely not happening, they need the whole HTC sense framework.

Try LauncherPro Plus.
Personally I like ADW and use "Android Agenda Widget" which looks like this (keep in mind it has TONS of configuration options+skins):

By using an alternative launcher, yes. I personnaly use Nova Launcher Prime, but I believe it's also possible with Apex.

SMS Unread Count, works as a widget so you don't have to change your launcher (but won't work in dock).
If you want unread count bubble directly on icons without create a widget, there is no other way than using custom launcher.
Since every phone subforum had one of these threads and we don't, I'll start it up. It's a little bit too quiet around here anyways. Let's see em!

Nova Prime with UCCW. I've had this design with slightly different backgrounds for four different phones now. I've had my main icons down the right side of the phone way before Samsung started this edge crap. It always made things easier.

back on older versions, you could only use the sense clock on the sense home launcher, looks like that has been changed. the clock widget works on nova & google launcher, should work on other launchers too

not the same
The clock widget always worked within sense launchers but they never worked in 3rd party launchers (nova, apex, action, google) not sure what htc changed but
it's not available on my M7 with updated clock app (8.00.745925)
