When sprint kicks you out... - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III

Do they end the entire account including other lines on the account?

Kicked out meaning? Termination?

Just the line that's excessively roaming
Sent from my SPH-L710 using XDA Premium HD app

I just got the letter for roaming..actually they called also. They are letting me port both my lines with no ETF.
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda app-developers app

They terminate the main line at first. An ETF is charged and you have to call in to have it waived manually.
If the line is part of a family plan, you can argue that the termination of one line has caused a material change that is reason to have the other lines terminated as well.

They haven't canceled me. I just got the warning letter and a call. They called and even gave me number directly to the "excessive roaming dept"..told me just to call back when I port out. Funny thing is I wasn't abusing. Legit roaming. In six months I only went over 300mb of data roaming twice and got flagged.

Shouldn't they kick everyone, why would I keep my other lines when they are going to act like little *****es. I rather start my family plan elsewhere.

Why would they give up money makers? Just dump the one that's costing them money, and force you to pay early termination for the rest of the lines. Makes good business sense.

It doesn't matter what they "should" do..they offer to let go all lines on a family plan with no ETF. Anyone who got the letter and wants the phone number to the dept pm me. It's not toll free tho..all I did was tell them my phone roams while at home. I refuse to set it to Sprint only as its my primary line and I have children. There is no way for me to avoid the roaming. All legit.

I used to roam when I get home so they gave me the airwave box for boosting their signal.

Yeah, they offered the airave box to me also, but I pointed out that it doesn't help with data, only voice. They flagged me for data..still BS if you ask me. As stated earlier, I only went over 300mb twice in six months and wasn't by much. Didn't even hit 400mb. It's fine with me tho. I planned on going to Verizon anyway. The lack of 4G and slow as heck 3G is just getting old.

For people that go over the roaming limit and get letters, are you using a different PRL? Roaming is so slow for me I don't even think I could reach 50MB in a month

Because they (lines) go as a package on a family plan. Second line is $20-30 so what's gonna happen, charge you that amount? If primary line gets etf then automatically whole package goes, if secondary line and so forth gets etf they etf that line but you call to straight things out and goodbye sprint.

Sprint threatening letter!!! Not really unlimited..

Just got a letter from Sprint, telling me control my internet usage within 10 days.... Otherwise they will kick me out. Sprint **** you, don't ****ing advertise as unlimited and then send these threatening letters to your customers.

Are you paying for hot spot?? Sprint can see if you're using a wifi tether app and that violates the TOS so that's probably why you got the letter.
That's a lot of ggggggbs.
I guess as long as you didn't tether I would agree with you.

Help with line cancellation

My wife and I are splitting up and I cant afford to pay the bill for two lines nor can I count on her to pay her half either. What is the Sprint etf per line? I know I could find it somewhere but my daughters are off the wall today.

You should be able to go into a sprint store and have them make her line a new account. But then she would have to agree to it and all..

Good if its under you name no problem just go there and have them setup a different plan. They will contact your ex and let them know of it and give them time to respond or they will cancel her phone. I had to do this awhile back
You can do a change of responsibility. Ask Sprint about that.

Alternate Upgrade

I have a line with an upgrade that will be going to Verizon. Anyway I can use it on my line without having the other line's contract extended by 2 years? Waste of an upgrade if not used lol
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
I don't think so. You have to extend the contract on the line you buy the phone on. I usually do this when other lines are due for upgrades and my line isn't.

Because the phones cost Sprint more than they charge you and they recover the difference over the term of a contract.

That can be said about nearly every carrier that subsidizes the price of a phone.

Have you guys noticed any performance related issues with Lookout. I noticed, when browsing, a lag or sometimes "unresponsiveness" of the screen. I am actually thinking of uninstalling it for a few days just to see if it helps.
