Don't think we can use photosphere. I don't think we have a gyroscope.

According to Android Sensor Box and Elixer2, we do have a gyroscope.

Are you able to fix the EXIF issue that has been present since the first CM10 release.
Can anyone confirm the camera works? I've tried so many zips and keep getting the error, "gallery stopped working" when opening the camera. The gallery works just fine.

Yeah, this camera works just fine.
Works with CM9 FT as well. Thank you

What is the EXIF issue? I noticed a lot of my pictures are dated 2002 but they seem to be taken before I moved to CM10.

What did you move to CM10 from? I noticed it when Richardo released the first preview of CM10 and its been on every ROM I've tried based on CM10. As an experiment, I went back to stock and the issue wasn't there.
Force closes whenever I try to use any of the options in menu. Can't crop my pictures but the camera is AWESOME!

That's because this .zip only includes the gallery and camera, no libs. Find the "Android 4.1 to 4.2 thread and download that .zip then extract it. Open it and go to /system/lib and copy all the ones that start with "libjni" and the one called liblightcycle.so and move them to your /system/lib, set the correct permissions and reboot.

this worked for the editing, however still no photospere, any more suggestions
Photosphere isn't even an option on my camera in settings. Only pic, vid or panorama. Is it supposed to be included in this zip? None of the other I've tried worked except for this one, but still no photosphere.

No u Dont have to restore the whole rom for that. I'll send u a gallery.apk.
Edit: oh I just seen that u have ICS...sorry I jb. All u need though is to get the camera apk file use root explorer and copy it to system/app folder....delete the note camera. Restart your phone, navigate back to system/app folder and install the camera that you had pasted there.
I don't have ICS camera so can't send to u. Sorry bout that. But once you get a camera just follow that instruc above and you should be good.

Jellybean camera will not work on ICS period! Jellybean camera and gallery is in the same apk. There are not 2 different ones like ICS. Gallery will work but the Camera will never work. Use jellybean camera from the market.

I did restore from titanium backup but it was showing android logo on camera and aome different kind of logo on gallery and name it as False!
Never happened before so thot restore will be better option.
What i did was : after it was unable to open i delete both camera and gallery via titanium and restore it again via titanium.

Sorry if this is a dup, guys, but I couldn't find this issue anywhere regarding the GS II, however it does appear to also be an issue with some Nexus devices. So I'm running the T989 with CM10(11-6) and 4.2 Gapps. Everything is good until I attempt to make a Tiny Planet out of a 360-degree pic using Photo Sphere. It sits there for a couple of seconds and then FC's the Gallery. I've tried using the default '20' size as well as the smallest, biggest, etc. Anyone know a fix for this?
Thanks!
Odd.. doesn't work for me either.. but taking the pictures and viewing them as street view works almost flawless. I on paranoid android' along with the king kang kernel.

4.2 stuff
i installed last version of rom, but i have no 4.2 stuff, sphere cam, what could be wrong?
My 4.2 camera apk is working but I don't see photosphere option in program. All I did was drag the apk to system folder and it works without photosphere. Is there a way to enable photosphere?

The only time I have had photosphere "working" was by flashing the AROMA camera zip under a CM10.1 nightly (cant remember which one), so that's 4.2.1, and I was having FC's and the camera app would crash almost every time I used it even for regular pictures, causing me to have to reboot my phone to get rid of the "Cannot connect to camera" error.
I have a feeling it won't work any better on a 4.1.2 ROM.

There's a flashable zip that works just fine. Only issue is that the app freezes up if you don't choose a focal point before taking a picture.

It seems every 4.2 apk on 4.1.2 has a differnt story. Mine functions fine in all ways just except it doesn't even have the photosphere option. So I have a nice fullscreen 4.2 camera but no photosphere.

HI This just for flashable? can use CMW to flash in ? thanks
Does this work on your phones? I've always used the stock camera on this phone for instagram, but with the new video update I switched over to the instagram advanced camera and it doesn't work. I got on my wife's phone and checked out hers since she didn't upgrade instagram yet and the camera also doesn't work on hers. I have Lifeless v14 on hers right now and I'm currently running Vectus.
I just tried my instagram camera I'm running beanstalk and it doesn't open.

I just downloaded the newest version on my phone, running Stock OTA JB-rooted, nothing else and it seems to work just fine on mine just fyi. Must be something missing in the custom ROMs or they just aren't playing nice together lol.
Doesn't work on Slim Venom rom. I would like to know what other roms would work with Instagram.

As a temp fix you can go to developer options and disable hw overlays but you'll have to do it every reset. If I remember correctly pimp my ROM has an option to permanently disable it but I'll check Ok that later tonight

I'm now on rootbox, and this method isn't working for me. It does work on my wife's phone, she is using Lifeless.
It opens but it lags and once it pops up I get an error stating "cannot connect to camera" and force closes.
***Edit*** It works perfectly on Spleef's AOKP

Go there. You can download the camera and flash in recovery. Did you flash gapps? I'm not sure if the camera is in there or not. If you didn't flash it, go back to the cm thread and download "banks gapps" and flash in recovery.
