Sorry if this is a dup, guys, but I couldn't find this issue anywhere regarding the GS II, however it does appear to also be an issue with some Nexus devices. So I'm running the T989 with CM10(11-6) and 4.2 Gapps. Everything is good until I attempt to make a Tiny Planet out of a 360-degree pic using Photo Sphere. It sits there for a couple of seconds and then FC's the Gallery. I've tried using the default '20' size as well as the smallest, biggest, etc. Anyone know a fix for this?
Thanks!
Odd.. doesn't work for me either.. but taking the pictures and viewing them as street view works almost flawless. I on paranoid android' along with the king kang kernel.

From what I've read, there are certain lib files that need to be added and apk's to be renamed but I don't know the specifics.

For instance an ics camera functioning even while on the phone.
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
So, you're asking if the camera can be modified to operate while on the phone? I don't know if the stock camera can, but the MIUI camera can function while playing music, while the stock cannot.
Stock can't, but any other 3rd party app can be used while in-call..

Like it has been said, Third party cameras will work. I am a fan of the MIUI camera. Search around for the APK file.
Well, I know that they had stock camera software hacked on the vibrant and they added the GPS location feature to it to maintain privacy.

I'm not sure what modifications were done beyond just the camera.apk but I know a few Roms for the Epic Touch 4G (Sprints version of the SGS2) has it. You might check their Dev section.
.....
Week if anyone comes across a miui camera apk that works on our phone and can take video please post it here

I don't see the point of this app to share pictures? Pixel~O~ Matic is way superior app with way more and better quality filters. Share to twitter and Facebook. Always could do this natively. Plus the app andmadeshare can share to multiple social networking sites at once already. I uninstalled the app after 10 minutes playing with it.

It's a bug with ICS roms.
Instagram is having horrible bugs ever since I updated to Jelly bean 4.1.2, I'm currently AOKP's current ROM w/ no custom kernel. I also was having the same problem running CM10. I'm just wondering if anyone else is having problems with instagram regarding the xamera
Sent from my SGH-I747 using xda app-developers app
I'm running the same setup and I haven't had a single problem with instagram.
Sent from my SGH-I747 using xda premium
That's really strange, what do you think could be the problem?? Once I take a photo the picture isn't viewable because its constantly flickering in the editing stage but once I continue to write a comment for the picture its visible....

I am also having the exact same issue - I'm using CM10
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda app-developers app

What exactly does it do when I disable HW overlay??
Sent from my SGH-I747 using xda app-developers app
"Hardware overlay ensures everyone has their own partition of memory so they don't have to do those checks and so latency to render things on the screen decreases dramatically."
Quick search on Google. I haven't noticed a difference in speed after disabling it.

Are you able to fix the EXIF issue that has been present since the first CM10 release.
Can anyone confirm the camera works? I've tried so many zips and keep getting the error, "gallery stopped working" when opening the camera. The gallery works just fine.

What is the EXIF issue? I noticed a lot of my pictures are dated 2002 but they seem to be taken before I moved to CM10.

What did you move to CM10 from? I noticed it when Richardo released the first preview of CM10 and its been on every ROM I've tried based on CM10. As an experiment, I went back to stock and the issue wasn't there.

That's because this .zip only includes the gallery and camera, no libs. Find the "Android 4.1 to 4.2 thread and download that .zip then extract it. Open it and go to /system/lib and copy all the ones that start with "libjni" and the one called liblightcycle.so and move them to your /system/lib, set the correct permissions and reboot.

Photosphere isn't even an option on my camera in settings. Only pic, vid or panorama. Is it supposed to be included in this zip? None of the other I've tried worked except for this one, but still no photosphere.

I don't think there is a known fix for this that works for everyone. Actually it is possibly an issue on Google's end. http://productforums.google.com/d/msg/mobile/2UKJ7ZyIav0/jHQD4F7QAhAJ <-- that thread has quite a few things you could try, as well as more links to look at.
Perfect
And it was surprisingly easy to fix, just remove, and readd the Google account.
I feel dumb.
