1) I'm having a problem with GPlay, when I open it, it says "Error retrieving information from server. [RH-01]"
Is it only me or all are having the same ?
2) Do I have to wipe data & cache before restoring a nandroid backup
?
Thanks very much n advance
try wiping data or restoring it to an older version.
I did cleared its data and uninstalled the updates but the problem still exists [Server error]
The 2nd thing is a question not related to the GPlay store problem.
2) no you don't have to

I restored my original backup (twice already) from 2 different backups and I get same error-
Process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly
can not use phone at all to call or recieve
I just tried to fix permissions and i get "error occured while attemptng to run privileged comnands"
the backup was made after I rooted phone- I made 2 and both are giving same errors
Do a data wipe, cache and dalvic, then restore backup
i appreciate the advice- i just reinstalled fresh evo rom -- which worked-
then use rom manager to restore my nandroid but i still have same problems
-----
what do i use to do
data wipe
cache wipe ?
dalvic wipe= this is in titanium
I have a backup of my Gingerbread version (2.3.3) working fine.
Yesterday, I finally found a Brazilian firmware to my I9000 and tried to test it.
Now, I'm using the Froyo version (2.2.1) downloaded from Kies and I'm having a problem to restore some files.
All my games and apps from Market are restored without any problem.
When I try to restore my contacts I get the message: Google Services Framework (process com.google.process.gapps) has stopped.
The process android.process.acore has stopped.
I have to FC them and it enters in this looping.
I tried to restore only the data (the green ones) without any luck.
I tried all kind of settings in the TB, but without success.
What can I do ?
Thanks a lot.
Factory reset first .
jje
Thanks, but I already tried it before posting.
This problems seems to be related with Google Account Sync.
I'm not sure that restoring from a newer version to an older one will work.
Personally I never restore system data and settings with TB (except the sms storage), only applications. I believe that it is more safe to do the basic configurations manually than restore it from backup.
I use my Google accounts to store the contacts, they sync without issues.
Restoring system data like that never works well via Titanium.
I would go back into recovery, clear cache and dalvik, then do a factory reset.
Go back to Titanium, restore the apps you wish WITHOUT data. Then sync your gmail to get your contacts back.
Create a google account just for the contacts and calendar, thats what I did...
Thanks a lot for the tips.
I tried all these tips but didn't work.
I had to restore only my programs and games from market and imported my contacts from my sim card.
As always happens, I had to edit every contact, because the first name always is in the last name field and even having the option to not show the contacts from sim card, I the same contacts twice in the list and had to del them.
The worst problem was after restoring my programs and games from market. They are working fine, but market can't identify them as a file already downloaded.
I tried to use the Market Doctor option but it didn't work.
I had to download them again from market.I think it happens because I'm not using an English version anymore.
At least after trying a lot, I'm using a Brazilian firmware downloaded from Kies.
No more problem of running a program with Brazilian language, but as the firmware was in English, these programs run in English language too.
this is what I tried
fastboot some kernel
wipe everything
flash some ROM
Until that point is fine.
the problem comes when i try to restore system data (using titanium backup pro). It says backup was successfully restored, and a reboot is recommended, but when I do, it gets stuck in the bootloop.
Restoring user apps + data works fine. Its just the system apps thats causing the problem
This happens with any ROM/Kernel combination I try.
Also, while wiping everything, I get the message "no app2sd partition found skipping format of sd-ext"
Are you restoring another ROM's system apps?
What system apps are you restoring and why?
Messages, Wifi pairings, call log, contacts, user dictionary ... etc
Is that a bad idea ?
Other rom system apps won't work and that's the problem I think... Try some other apps for getting back those like message backup, SwiftKey etc... You can start wifi pairings again
solved.
while doing batch restore, the system apps for messaging, call log etc were being restored, even though i wanted just the data. Did them manually.
Thanks
From personal experience restoring the system data like message storage call log contacts is safe.... not sure about wifi pairings.... try restoring each system data one by one.... rebooting each time instead of doing a batch restore.... might just help!

Hello everyone,
*
I have a concern since yesterday: I updated several applications (nothing special, no cracked app or weird apps) and after that my android restarted from is own and it is constantly in a bootloop. I do not know how to get out!
*
I tried this:
In Mode CWM Wipe Cache => nothing happens
In Mode Delvik CWM Wipe Cache => Nothing will
In CWM Wipe data mode (after backup) => starts normally but I can't download any application anymore because of a 927 error (I think)
I tried a restore just after applying Wipe Data => New bootloop
I would like to:
Exit bootloop
To redownload apps
And all this without losing my apps and backups ...
Could anyone help me?
I'm desperate ...
*
PS: I've AVAST in ROOT mode (could it be the cause of the downloading issue?)
For your error 927 try this...

For errors related to playstore I:
delete data and cache from google play services
Then I delete google account and add it again
This fix most problems with playstore for me
Today morning I backed up my current rom then installed some roms for testing. Then restored the backup but to my surprise only some of the applications installed rest of the applications were not installed. When I go to playsotre to install those apps which are not installed i get error as " insufficient storage " but i have 10 gb of free space . And also I cant restore the apps theu easebackup.
Is it because of the corrupted backup ? Please help me.
When I came across this, i cleared the dalvik and cache to fix it.
