Please answer, is HTC One V Virgin Mbile USA CDMA Phone Unlockable to use abroad? I know it is not allowed by Virgin Mobile to use with other Carriers, but if I need to travel out of the United States and want to temporarily use this phone there like Malaysia, is it possible? Can you guys please tell me about it? Thank you.
Mate you should post this in q and a section

I've seen that you posted this many times but you don't get a good response.
I don't know much about VM cdma phone but I do know that any cdma phone is useless in Malaysia. In Malaysia, there is no cdma service, only GSM; phone with SIM card.

hey guys
so im planning to sell my htc desire and buy a nexus s instead.
im living in germany and i guess i would have to order the nexus s from an american shop. would there be any problem with the network? or is that all good?
another question:
im selling the htc desire on ebay. is it simlocked? or netlocked?
can i just sell it after flashing an original ruu?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=695667
those ruus are only exe files though. how can you apply them to your phone??
THANKS FOR YOUR HELP
This forum is awesome!!
You open the .exe installsheild on your PC and plug the phone in and run the wizard, and if you buy a US nexus s and try to used it on Vodafone or even T-Mobile EU or Orange or O2 or any other EU network it WILL ONLY GET EDGE!, but calls WILL WORK So beware of that, also, you don't need to flash the RUU, infact, some people pay MORE for a rooted phone, so they don't have to do it them self.
Best of luck

thanks !! useful advice
one more question why is there only edge with the nexus s in germany?
If you get the GSM Nexus S from the UK then it should work fine. If you get it from the US then it won't as they use different bands than Europe

Hi All,
I bought the GS3 on a UK contract with t-mobile, however I immediately gave the sim to my other half, and instead chose to use my virgin sim card.
Do I still use the rooting guide stated for the GS3 t-mobile version?
(upon inserting the virgin sim the phone asked me what provider to use t-mobile or virgin...)
Help would be appreciated.
Coops
if you have a UK Galaxy S3 wouldn't that mean you have the non-US "international" version ?
In which case your phone is totally different from the one TMo is giving to us American folk... I'd ask in the 9300 forum to be honest.

Wow... I just took a look and there are now five different forums for the M8s?! (M8, AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile)
This is starting to bug me because I don't know where I should be tracking. Why are we segregating everyone?
Is this necessary and if so, where do the Canadians fit in then since our M8 is technically a 'variation' as well?

Also, should us Canucks be in the AT&T M8 forum or this one?

This one.. there shouldn't even be an AT&T forum.

According to Turge, Canadians would fit in the main M8 forum. Then what about the international M8s like in Taiwan, etc.?
*extremely confused at this point*
