Anyone have issues with swype beta installer after i log in on the choose version screen i get continuous loading and never recognizes a version.. anyone else? or have fix for the issue??
I have the same problem.
Swype Beta unusable for me in 4.2.1 it is always force closing... I am now using Keymonk keyboard and it is a great contender vs. swype! Almost might be better! Two handed swiping so much quicker and I am sure it will only get better! Get the free version here
no problems with Skype here, rooted & running Xylon 4.2.1 009. Suggestions would be uninstal, redownload installer & Skype again. If rooted i would also suggest wiping cache & dalvik, even fixing permissions. You could also paste the Skype installer & apk direclty into your system/apps folder and see if that changes anything (have to be rooted).

wow thanks for this app, i been using the latest stock 4.2.1 keyboard for swyping but this new one seems alot smoother and simpler adding new words with one touch.
What I wind up doing is restoring the app with tibu, then clearing data. Then i register, and enter the activation code, and allow it to restore my user defined words. It's become a part of my setup process

I pulled the apk from my phone and manually installed/sideloaded it and it works fine.
Yeah ended up side loading it works perfect
I tried to do this with Astro file viewer, but all it finds is the .apk for the installer which results in the same problem. Any ideas?

The app is named com.nuance.swype.input-1.apk
For me, it was in the data/app folder.

Oh hell yes . I've been using your inverted apps for a while now, started on the OG Epic 4g, now with the ET4g. Congrats on your new device!
I assume you'd have to uninstall the app first and then install the inverted version?
And how do I uninstall gmail? Would I just delete the .apk in root explorer?

Deleting the apk and putting mine in it's place with root explorer should work. I always use adb to push it there. It will have to be installed this way for now, at least until I get an updated flash-able zip for this phone.

A titanium restore of gmail didn't work either. Tried grabbing again from the market and when I try installing it, it says "application already exists".

The newest version of Google+ has a different setup for the main stream, I am in the works of flipping that over then it should be good to go. I am hoping to get it done in the next day or two.
I assume the rom has to be deodexed to flash any app that downloads in the form of a zip? Such as the Google search bar? Or can it be install with root explorer?

Very nice, I'll test it out. Thanks.
Looks like Google+ and Docs are going to take a min. Don't know if it is a root/ROM/ or phone issue but neither docs nor Google+ will sync anything once they are installed. Just sits on connecting...
I have tried decompiling and then recompiling without changing anything and I still get this issue. If anyone knows a fix to this I would love to know what it is.
Hello everyone, I apologize for not having a fancy or pretty first post but I wanted to get this out.
Moles updated to 1.8 today and I have got a port for our CDMA devices working.
Things to note:
1. I have not thoroughly tested this yet as I just got it working. As always I would recommend a Nandroid backup before proceeding.
2. You must perform a full wipe before flashing this ROM unless coming from 1.7 - That includes data/cache/dalvik.
3. GApps are not included anymore and must be downloaded.
4. First boot takes forever so be patient.
5. Currently there are no Paranoid Settings in the System Settings menu. Instead open your app drawer and use the Paranoid Setting app to change UI.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
That's all I can think of that is imperative, please post with your findings as I'm interested in gathering information about what works and what doesn't.
Mediafire link to 1.8 here.

Anyone else having issues with Gmail. I can open emails from one account but not another. The main one crashes. I cleared cach and dalvik and it's still happening. Removed the account and added it back in and still same thing. I can open emails from that account if I load it into the default email program.
I've tried to make some pad.prop changes and they're just not being recognized. Changed MMS.apk to 200, its still in 320. Rebooted as well. I'll try clearing caches and report back.
FWIW, no gmail issues here. I had a browser FC, but its all good now.

bill - I've seen the same with the pad.prop. It just won't save the changes. It's weird with the email. I can open the app and see the list of email but as soon as I attempt to open one it force closes. If I open the app and select the other account that email opens just fine.
No problems viewing individual emails here, but clearing caches didn't work either, also tried setting it to tab mode, didn't work. Any changes I make to pad.prop are being saved, but ignored by the rom

either uninstall lightflow, or go to settings - apps- and try to delete data/cache
another option would be to force stop your stock keyboard- then swype should work

Volia! I have Light Flow and Swype 1.3.1 BOTH working!
Does NOT require Root! Thanks "userspace"!
Hey guys , the newest version is not incompatible with lightflow , theres something going on with the stock android keyboard . I was having the same problem , on 4.1.1 with the newest beta of swype . I went into settings - apps - all , and disabled the android keyboard . After that reboot your phone , and swype should work . I just did it 15 minutes ago and it worked great , and lightflow is still enabled on my phone . I found the info in swypes forums .
Edit : guess I should have read ALL the posts , looks like I'm confirming Bigal77's statement rather than giving new information .

Disabling the stock keyboard has resulted in some wonky behavior on my phone. Screen turning on by itself, music started playing by itself, dismissed notifications, rebooted once.....none of this happened ever before until I tried the fix of disabling the stock keyboard. Unfortunately I think I'm going to just stick with thumb keyboard until Swype fixes the issue on their own. It's just INSANELY hard to type w/o swype, it really sucks, and SlideIT is no replacement at all, terrible predictions.
Yeah SlideIt is pretty bad. I haven't had any problems after disabling stock keyboard though.

Firstly, this belongs in the Q&A section. Secondly, try to uninstall the app then reinstall through the play store.

I saw it earlier and got a lil worry so i looked it up and found this forum!!! so i did what i read... Open download manager and then go to other downloads you should see it here just send it to trash and it fixed it! but then i my sister showed me the same thing and we just waited, finally it downloaded all of it (around 15 MB) and gave her a facebook update screen! saying it was a new version (facebook 2.3) that enables you to mark as spam posts and other stuff!!! NOW i feel like a [email protected] for reading about it and erasing it... hope it comes back on the market as a regular update and that some of you read this and just be patient! :fingers-crossed: GOOD LUCK AND IF SOMEBODY HAS A APK VERSION OF IT ALREADY PLS REPOST! I had the same problem . I yesterday externally installed Swype kepboard and this problem seems to have arised since then. Not sure however if i can directly blame this on the Swype. Anyways, one sure thing is that this download is unlikely to be a genuine facebook update & its more likely to be a spyware of some kind.
This is what i did & it seems to have stopped popping up since then. Hold the Download till u get an "App Info" option. Then click disable instead of Force stop. It has'nt restarted for me since then .

The scary thing here is it really is a genuine facebook update; see the links I have included below. They are going around the Play store for this and future updates. Which is scary enough on its own because a smart hacker could mimic this in the near future to inject malware. Also, in my case the update failed and now I can't use the version from the play store or this one.
I have complained to Google play about this because they are violation the developer terms; I also provided "feedback" to Facebook! I would recommend others complain to both also to let them know how their customers feel.

Is it just me, or does the new keyboard want to autocorrect everything in CAPS? Before I would misstype "that" as "thay" and it'd autocorrect to "that." Now, it autocorrects to either "THAY" or "THAT," in all caps. Very obnoxious. Any ideas?

each time I try to install the 4.4 keyboard it keeps saying
package with that same name and different signature already installed
Or just go to Google play store and download Google Keyboard which has been updated to suit 4.4 KitKat.

You're probably running aosp ROM that uses aosp keyboard (Google keyboard). You need to delete the apk from /system/apk/ directory then push the downloaded apk and rename it, change its permissions. Reboot.
