Will an app stripped from S III phones work on our note 2's?
I have an allshare app in zip format that I can flash to my note 2, it came from a S III ROM. Will I do anything to my phone if I try to flash it with TWRP?
Thanks.
Back up your phone with twrp then flash it.

Hi guys! I have the GSM Galaxy Nexus with an unlocked bootloader and touch Clockwork Recovery, am I able to install any awesome modifications without actually rooting my device?

So you have CWM? No problem .
Download the rom you want, make nandroid backup in cwm, then do a full wipe and flash the rom and reboot.
Voila

To install modifications to your current rom you will need root. However, you don't need root to install an entirely new rom.

So I can simply flash MIUI or Revolution HD without rooting my phone? All I need is an unlocked bootloader and CWM?
I never knew that! Thanks lol

Hey every1, ROM Manager - Clockworkmod Recovery doesn't support T-mobile Galaxy Note 2 yet?
When flashed it, it only asking for the confirmation of 4 other samsung phones, BUT no Galaxy Note 2?
Hmmm, TWRP works fine with the note 2, though.
Search and you would know we can use international version

Running CWM on mine. I picked the GS3 option during install.
Oh sweet, thanks!
Galaxy Note II International - problem with CWM Recovery
ROM Manager Premium is installed on my GN2 International and appears to work, I tell it to flash ClockworkMod Recovery and it tells it did it (I select Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 option). However, when I reboot into recovery, I get only the stock Android recovery, not CWM. What could be possibly wrong, as others seem to confirm that all works for them?

Same here (for T-Mo note 2).
You could always just Odin CWM into it...I used CF-Auto-Root (find the thread in the Original Development forum) and I rooted mine and my father's TMO Note IIs in under a minute. Was super simple
There is new version of rom manager and there is samsung galaxy note 2 to choose. Somebody try it already?

Why dont you just use odin.... and flash cwm.... im running it and it worked perfectly for me... I havnt used rom manager in a minute because it does not flash the correct recovery or rom 90% of the time.

Is there a 4.3 or 4.4.2 rom for our tmobile note 2 out there that has the Download Booster integrated into it like the Galaxy s5 does? If not is there a way that someone can make it happen lol. I read online that the Ditto Note 3 rom has that feature but we can't use that rom on our phone or we'll brick it.
I'm using ditto note 3 rom on my T889 right now. All I had to do was flash the T-Mobile modem and added the Lte apn. Been running smooth no hiccups at all

OK so just to be clear that I'm doing this right, I would have to do a back up of my current ROM erase everything in recovery, flash the n3 ROM and the T-Mobile modem and I should be good right?
Sent from my SGH-T889 using xda app-developers app
Correct wipe Dalvic cache, cache, data, system. Flash the rom make sure you select N7105. Select the options you want. Once that's complete make sure you flash the T-Mobile modem then you can reboot the phone. Add the Lte apn if you want lte then your good to go. I did notice though you can't send mms from the stock messaging app so I downloaded chomp sms and it's been good to go.

Awesome Big thanks to you for answering my questions. I'm going to flash this tonight.

Damn can't get the ROM to boot up. It just gets stuck on Samsung screen. Do you have a link to the one you used maybe I got a bad download.
Sent from my SGH-T889 using xda app-developers app
In order to get past that you'll need b using the stock n7100 kernel, once it boots up flash tmo modem. What recovery are u using?
Sent from my SGH-T889 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Oh I'm using twrp. I had flashed the ROM and then the T-Mobile modem and then restarted the phone. Just installing this ROM without the T-Mobile modem won't brick my phone? I have the T-Mobile t889 and this ROM is for the att 7100.

Hi,
Can anyone help me recover phone and my data, Samsung note 4 verizon, struck while trying to root. It is now at boot screen saying "verizon software repair assistant".
Sry but can't save the data on it now. Did you read before you tried to root it. There is no permanent root for the retail verizon note 4. Was your sytem on KK ot LP? If it was updated through kies or OTA then you can NOT roll back or even try to flah or root thr phone.
