If I edit certain things in build.prop will the text I insert show up in my settings or send my phone into crazy mode lol

Depends what u want to edit.
Edit mod version or product model that will show up under settings edit other stuff will must likely break things
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
Yeah, like TCP said...don't edit stuff if you don't know what it is.....and after you edit, make sure you power off then back on if you want it to stick. A hot reboot won't cut it.
Thanx... How bout build.version.release??

Hehe, third times a charm? Read the sticky thread under Android Development. Click on this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1726558 and watch the video! It's step-by-step, so easy to do. Your answer is there, as I've told you three times now, in three separate threads, where you've asked the same exact question three times.

Also make sure in the wireless settings you have 4G or LTE enabled, I'm not sure if it is. You do know that it wont say LTE, it's an international version. It say's 4g when you're on LTE
Try this on the dial screen; *#2263# click on (1) automatic, or try to enable LTE only
Make sure under settings,more settings, mobile networks <---make sure "mobile data" is checked ON
Hey bro. Youre on the X version. Thats the international. It will get LTE but wont have the same icon as you would on the Master version

Bud, YOU WILL NOT see the LTE on that ROM. It's the international version. IF you are connected an LTE tower then the bottom instructions will show.
Try this;
*#0011# Do you see "LTE DL BW : 5MHz ??
p.s. There is no actual Icon for the international version that says LTE. They just call it 4G even though it is LTE

well i really need it. im from the Philippines and using sun cellular with unlimited internet connection. my work keeps me on the road all the times. although WCDMA only is a good option some location have GSM only. When using "WCDMA/GSM Auto" it tends to stay in GSM mode i need to manually select WCDMA only. That's the reason why i want to have a wcdma preferred.

The auto mode is built in a way that WCDMA is preffered only when the signals are really strong..if they seem low...they switch to gsm...that's to maintain the best cell connectivity...I don't think there is a mod as you ask....sorry about that...you'll have to manually switch....I suggest using a widget..which makes it slightly easier...
I cant find any working switch or widget for 4.3. Any suggestion?

I enter #3845*985# and I didn't activate my phone. It doesn't go to the menu, just puts me on hold with Verizon. Am I using the wrong code or something?
