Hi,
Just bought the note 2 but i compared the brightness to the note 1 and note 1 wins.
Is my note 2 defective or is this normal?

Not normal at all, the note 2 is WAY brighter than the original. I have been hearing that some units of the note are lacking the brightness they should have.
My advice? Go and change it for another one.

Hi,
Has anybody heard any news about android 4.1.2 update for EE Note 2 LTE (GT-N7105)? Why Samsung takes such a long time to role out updates is beyond me. N-7105 has already been updated in other markets.
Not heard anything as yet.

Thanks, Samsung is very slow on updates for some weird reason.
I see the update is in kies now. Anyone updated yet? Any issues? I'm holding back just incase there's battery drain with it.

Ok updated via kies to 4.1.2 all good so far, even updated the Note 10.1 for good measure.
Not noticed any drain as yet but it's early days, I'll check back in a week If there is any developing issues.

Thanks. I went ahead and updated at the weekend. Battery seems pretty much on a par with 4.1.1. And that's without doing a factory reset too. So I'm pleased so far.

Is it snappier than 4.1.2?
Yes a little snappier.. some guys had freezes on 4.1.2 on the note 8 and that got solved with the update. ..I never had freeze even in 4.1.2
