Help! No lte after flashing! - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

After flashing cm10 m2 on a galaxy s3, the phone no longer has lte on it and has been constantly switching between hspa and 3g. I've tried changing APN setting but that didnt help.
Someone please help me get lte back on this phone thanks!

Did you try using your data connection? Usually it'll drop back from LTE when you're not using it to save battery.

OP, please read this: Click me!
Worked for me each time I flashed a different AOSP ROM and I'm in an area of spotty LTE coverage.

I am still having issues with this despite that other link. It was working fine right before the flash... Any other ideas as to how to get my data back. .. What "Network Mode" should I be in? I have 2 choices that look the same...Neither of them are working though...
P.S. I have no Data at ALL... Is that normal. I am using CM10 and flashed with GooManager

Do you still have your IMEI?

[Q] LTE speeds on Cyanogenmod 10

I have a Rogers Galaxy S3 and I installed the latest CyanogenMod 10 and I'm just wondering if it is possible to get LTE speeds on my device because everytime I switch the network settings under LTE I lose data connection besides that everything is perfect and I can get HSPA+ speed, wich is ok but not what I'm paying for and I would love to get those speeds back.

What do typical LTE speeds look like? (I never had data until I got my S3)
I have a Telus SGS3 running CM10 M1. At the moment I got 25mbps down and 18mbps up with the speedtest app. My signal indicator says 4g and the speedtest app says my connection is LTE.

I'm with rogers too. We'll my phone is. Anyhoo in order to get lte speeds with cm10 or aokp for that matter you have to put in that code looks like *#*#3896#*#* I'm not sure about the number though look around you'll find it, and then select lte, gsm. That's after putting in the right apn settings of course. Btw it'll work but it won't stick you'll have to do it again every time you restart your phone. Personally I can't be bothered that's why I stick with stock until they figure that out.

No need for all that. In latest CM10 all you have to do is change preferred network type to LTE/GSM/WCDMA, choose Rogers LTE apn and u get LTE speed. It will show 4G but if you do a speedtest you'll see the difference. And it sticks on reboot. In AOKP though it doesn't stick.

for the longest time i couldnt figure out why i didnt see the LTE symbol. When you flash to cm10 the LTE symbol is now 4g.
This should be stickied until cm10 fixes the issue. Every Canadian user flashing to cm10 has no lte by default. Thank you for fixing mine

Still No LTE (AT&T)
I live in an LTE area, receive it with stock rom, but only showing H+ for speed. I have validated that the mobile networks is set to LTE /GSM/WCDMA - not sure what I may be missing. I love CM10, but really wish I could get this figured out. On AT&T.
Anyone help out? Is there some information I could provide?

Looks like it is working now. I get 4G in the LTE area and H+ everywhere else. The data speeds are decent, so not going to worry about it.

I can only access H+ and not LTE

I recently got a LTE sim card, and an LTE data plan with Fido. 4G worked for about 5 seconds (I even did a speed test) and then now it's permanently on H+.
APN is set to LTEmobile.APN but when I change to Network Mode LTE/GSM, my signal goes blank and stays like that until I go back to GSM/WCDMA, which doesn't make any sense.
I'm using Task's 10/28 Build, which is the only build that doesn't have black screen unlock.
I tried updating to his latest 4.2 but LTE still didn't work.
Any ideas on what is wrong?

did you not read what he said? He has an LTE sim card. To the OP try a google search and see if there are any different apn's. Its not rom related because task650 gets LTE speeds with his rom. Some ROMs have incorrect Fido/Rogers APN settings; I'd go over what's in the ltemobile.apn settings and compare it to a known good set (such as the ones in the stock ROM).
Soft bricked my phone by going back to rooted stock ROM through Odin. Guessing I should have formated system. Anyways fixed it up. Got lte working on rooted stock. Then when to miui no lte. Read that lte is a problem with many on this ROM so I lose. Hope I can get it working eventually when off stock.

Carriers use different labels for H+/LTE - ROMs differ in how they interpret the actual signal speed.
Some ROMs accurately reflect the network speed, some don't.
Some carriers promote/sell speeds that they cannot provide in every area.
There are many possible explanations as to why you are experiencing this.
You should provide your ROM, carrier, APN settings, network speedtest results, etc. for more in-depth answers.

Which baseband you got? I doubt we have different ones, since the phone I think only has 2 modems out.
Edit: After looking at the post here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2451426 I don't know how to distinguish v7 and v8. Regardless, I highly doubt that's the issue.
Have you tried changing your Preferred network type? Mine is set to "Global" On occasion, I've seen Data enabled turned off seemingly spontaneously on other devices, sooo check that too

actually when i reflashed with new gapps I had Global/3g/2g/LTE as my network options. after it goes out, all I have is LTE/3g/2g and anything but LTE kills radio.
I wonder whats going on. Maybe google is restoring some type of data?

it switched fine initially. showed 3g in status bar, sent SMS. started a call.
once the preferred network changes, anything but LTE kills the radio. "Emergency Calls Only" is what the status is in the quicktiles. With a blank radio signal indicator.

so i can go into the *#*#4636#*#* menu via the dialer and change the radio mode to EvDO only and get 3g and can make calls and send SMS. If I choose CDMA/LTE it transitions to the LTE network then ****s the bed and won't send SMS or make phone calls. It does send MMS and have fully functioning data on LTE. However, then its just a tablet.
I'm going to wipe and reflash again, as I did mess with a whole bunch of crap now and see if I can get anything figured out.
Any ideas?

Losing lte on a call, then doesn't come back.

I guess T-Mobile recently updated my tower to lte in past couple weeks. I'm rocking some great speeds, but when I get a phone call it drops the lte and goes back to 4g.
It stays in 4g after I get off the phone and doesn't come back. I have restarted... gone in and out of flight mode. Nothing... when I leave the area and come back or wake up in the morning... then I get lte back again.
Any idea on this?
I'm rooted, stock, wanam, uninstalled knox and carrier iq btw.
Thanks for any assistance

You can't make phone calls on LTE yet with T-Mobile. Thats why it drops to 4g(HSPA+) which allows calls. Not sure why it would not go back to LTE, maybe a sim card problem or a phone problem. I do not have any problems with going from 4g to LTE after calls. I have wanam, no knox, and no carrier iq as well. Are you on stock rom or a moded stock rom. Have you just removed knox and carrirer iq on stock rom?
I'm stock. It could actually be a SIM card issue. I'm using the same SIM card I had from my old galaxy s. I had to cut it to fit the note. Hmmm.. I think that's as good as any place to start.
It could also just be this tower is finicky. Maybe it's not 100% up and running yet. Just wish it would lock onto lte after the call again. It's so choice having those speeds!
Thanks for the SIM suggestion. I'll let you know how it goes.

Is your lte connection stronger than your 4g connection. Because even though it may be faster it always goes with the most reliable connection.
If I know I have lte I just quickly go into dialer and change it to lte only and then back to lte/wcdma and it'll stick to lte afterwards

Couldnt one simply use 4G toggle app?
I tried toggling 4G... going into and out of flight mode... taking the battery out and restarting... going into GSM only and then back to auto select.. Nothing worked.
The method I described above apparently forces LTE only mode and somehow causes it to stick on LTE after going back to Automatic.
I've been doing it all day with great success. It would be nice if it automatic went back to LTE, but in the meantime this is a solution where there wasn't one before.

It's because they just recently updated the tower. I was having the same issue in my area. I thought it was the phone and had it replaced. I finally spoke to someone at T-Mobile who knew what they were talking about. He said that it takes them months to tweak the tower until they get the optimum signal. Once that happens, you should go back to LTE after a call.

LTE bug

Hi I seem to have a problem getting LTE. I'm using a galaxy s3 i747m on Fido and I'm using stock Rogers ROM. I have a problem with LTE. I used to get it everywhere most of the time but it now only works once in a while. When I do finally get LTE it only works 30% of the time. I have full signal LTE but it doesn't load any webpages or anything. Once and a while it does though. I have tried bootloaders, modems, different Roms and I can seem to solve this problem. Does anyone know how I can fix this?
Thanks. I need my stable LTE back.

Yes by modems I mean basebands. My network type is LTE,3g, 2g. My APN is right. I can get LTE but when I do nothing loads at all. I have tried different Roms, different modems, different kernels and nothing seems to work. I did have LTE that worked before though.

When did it stop working? Do you remember what was done to the phone?
If nothing particular was done before that happened, you might wanna give Fido a call so they can check your connectivity and perhaps get a new sim card.
Well it stopped once flashed aokp ROM. I have a cut some card so that could be the cause unfortunately. I'll try a new simcard and see if that fixes it. I might also try flashing back to complete stock but I'm not too sure if that would help at all. I remember having LTE as soon as I turned it on and now it never turns on.

I have literally tried everything lol. I think it has something to do with our phones picking up the wrong signal. I live in Mississauga Ontario and I get LTE in the middle of the city but it doesn't connect at all. All it does is take forever to load a page and times out.

So I fixed the issue. I added another APN to my settings. So I have two ltemobile.apn for fido. I turned off the phone removed the sim. Turned the phone back on without the sim and entered service mode *#2263# and I put it to LTE all in the settings. I then turned the phone off and turned it back on with the sim and lte is working and my speeds are back. After that was all done I entered back to service mode *#2263# and put the network back to automatic all and now the phone automatically connects to LTE when I want it to.
