I recall that note 10.1 did not work with push2tv before...
Eventhough allshare cast is miracast based.
There has been an update to samsung all share cast softwre today.. can someone with push2tv confirm compatability results with note 10.1 after the update?
Thanks!

Like the title says, I'm wondering if the mirroring function on the S4 will work with standard miracast dongles (like ones from netgear...) instead of the Samsung one?
Someone posted a youtube link here of the netgear working with the s4. I'll try to look for it and post. And since its on youtube, you might find it there as well.

The old Nexus 7 didn't support Slimport or MHL.
MHL and Slimport are two competing standards (incompatible between them) to deliver HDMI video via the micro USB connector. First gen Nexus 7 did not have any of them (so no video out whatsoever). Nexus 7-2 implements Slimport (looks like Google chose this side). Many smartphones support MHL (the other standard). Your MHL adapter will not work on Nexus 7-2 or Nexus 4.
I don't know if there is a specific micro usb cable to hdmi convertor that I need to get in order to play my Nexus 7 to my tv. I don't remember if I read correctly, but I think I remember there being an article saying the Nexus 7 has a difference in its build, in which it needs a specific device to connect itself to an HDMI tv. Not sure though. If anyone has any recommendations, I would appreciate it. I am basically only trying to look at these avi files on my tablet to a tv.
Think all you need is a MHL adapter

Thanks, alright I just bought one at this link if anyone else looking wants to see what to get. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ECU3M22/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
MHL won't work with the Nexus 7(2013). The slim port cable you ordered should work though.
Funny how I gave him the wrong item and he still managed to order the right one

lol
You need a Slimport adapter (Not MHL which is a different competing technology!). Or get a Miracast adapter there are dongles , and use wireless access).
Unless you're running a CyanogenMod 10.2 build in which case, the
Slimport to HDMI function is not yet supported or working.

I use Netgear Push2TV PTV3000 to connect my N7 wirelessly to TV. It works pretty well. You may also want to install iMediaShare app from Google Play store on your N7 for streaming local and online content once connected to your TV.

You can also have a look to Minix Neo X5.
I've got one and it works fine with the Nexus 7 2013 on TV :good:
Does the s4 mini support mhl? If not, what other ways can you mirror your device to a TV?
Thanks in advance!
No it doesn't
