Something has happened parts of my web pages are now a light cream colour instead of the usual white. This also is present in some menu areas and also same with facebook app.
Example in the facebook app is the box to write your comments in is a light creamy colour same with the comments left by others. I have checked my settings but couldn't see anything that could change this.
I did replace the lcd screen with a genuine screen.
Any ideas whats the go? Thx
the screen you replaced wasn't genuine then. I replaced my screen previously too and all the blues were greenish.

I just asked the guy I got housing and screen from and he assured me its SE stock. It even has the factory applied screen protector.
Looks like nothing I can do will have to get use to it.
Well still no luck. Just to give an example the keyboard butons are a.creamy grey color. Some menu drop.down boxs are the same.

Hi,
i'm wondering if any of you experience the same problem in the Stock Camera App.
I'm talking about the grey line that is at the top of the Screen when I'm in the Camera App. It fades to black from left to right. If you look closely you can see the same grey line at the bottom of the "picture area". The grey lines are not visible when i switch to camera mode. They are also not visible on the pictures i take.
Does anyone of you has these lines, too? To check simply cover the lens with your finger so you have a black preview Image.
Unfortunately the Image compression used in the attachement hides these lines. They are only visible in the uncompressed png screenshot and i can't add outside links yet. So i add the link to the screenshot in this format:
without black border:

with black border around the screenshot:

Wierd... never noticed that before..... I wonder if its supposed to be like that or not. Looks like its just in the app tho and nothing to do with the sensor.
Is it the same on your GN?

Greetings,
I just purchased my Samsung Galaxy Nexus but I noticed after some months of use, some strange blue lines that appears only on blue, grey or specially light colors as white backgrounds. I am very upset since I bought this good cellphone but noticed the screen issue. People told me that those blue lines where just a software problem but the thing is that I recently upgraded from 4.2 JellyBean to 4.4 KitKat and those annoying lines still appear on specific backgrounds. I forgot to mention that those blue lines appear in full-screen mode where the notification and the digital buttons bar are when they hide while in that mode, for example: when playing games, visualizing text or images, watching videos on Youtube (all of it in full-screen mode). You got the idea, right? Its like when the full-screen mode is on and the functional bars of the Nexus fade, it is supposed to be the same color as the whole background, but not; it appears like a tone of blue instead. This has nothing to do with the camera by the way.
I now think that the issue is related to some problem with the screen and hardware. I don't really want to replace the whole screen with a new one since Nexus screens are very expensive. I can't claim a warranty as well.
So, the questions are:
¿Does anybody have or have had the exact or similar issue as me?
¿Can someone please explain me what's going on and give me a solution?
I will leave few images bellow where the blue line is more visible:
1st Picture: When Youtube is loading the video, the notification and digital-button bar are gonna fade to play the video in full-screen mode.
2nd Picture: While the video is playing in full-screen mode, on the edge of the screen where previously was the notification bar, the blue line appeared, you can see it easily.
3rd picture: While reading any type of text or viewing a picture in full-screen mode where the notification and digital-buttons bar fade, the blue line appears again and its very easy to see it.
4th Image: This case is different, on a background with dark blue and black colors, there is some blue tint effect that is slightly notorious, the picture taken from the camera doesn't show it very well.

Yeah dude, it really sucks and its kinda annoying when watching videos or reading something. Google should make something about it on future cellphones!
If you fix it or at least reduce the blue shadow a little please notice me, I am very upset about it. :crying:
My „blue lines” appeared after I dropped the phone
Seems like standard Galaxy Nexus AMOLED burn-in. Try something like this but dont expect too much.
Screen burn in. I have it too. There's no fixing it on an AMOLED display without replacing the screen. This is my first and last device I will buy with AMOLED.
I have a note 3 on 4.4.2 but the weird thing is it now has a white background dialer instead of the old one with full size keypad etc.. across the width of the screen

Sounds like it got reset to one handed mode. You should be able to turn that off in settings.
Hi,
I need a way to color some pixels in white, and I need them to always be white.
In fact, I have a Zenfone 2 551ml. There is a bug: the bottom half of the screen sometime flickers and shows verticals lines. It is a known bug, and it is a HW problem.
But I have found that when the line between the working half and the glitchy half has at least one white pixel, the glitchy half works just fine.
It is weird, isn't it? I know my phone needs to be repaired, but I'm not a home, so a temporary solution would be fine.
I can use root apps if needed.
So does anyone know how to color some specific pixels, and how to have them always colored (on the lock screen, on any application...)?
Thank you
I use a white wallpaper. The settings and search windows work too.
man i registered specially to thank you >>> i used an app called "Overlays - Float Everywhere" to make a whitte dummy overlay across the blinking borders and it worked!!! thank you very much

Thank you for discovering this app! I now use it too, the only problem is that the dummy overlay can't be thin enough :/ But it still fix the bug
