240 dpi edit build.prop on stock lj2 with root - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Did anyone change the build.prop edit For the 240 dpi and get a proper outcome? Not the stock launcher or the dialer problems, but anything more serious like force closes.

i did set it to 160 this dialer
but it fc'ing contacts and it doesnt open.,.but when i open contacts there's no problem..
Copy both sec contacts and sec dialer as they are tied together. Or try extracting it from mini tab rom. It might be modified to work properly on our phone.

[Q] SystemUI.apk Force Closing after changing screen density

I'm trying to change screen density on older version of MokeeOS from default 120 to 100 for a HVGA effect since some apps I use are compatible only with bigger screens but when I change the density in build.prop and reboot the device, systemui.apk keeps crashing.
Is there a way how to fix systemui (XML edit maybe?) to work with 100 DPI density?

I use an app for that. Try texdroider DPI. It is a free app and needs root but no special permissions.

If you are on AOSP based rom, then get a rom that supports ParanoidAndroid, and change the keyboard dpi to 320
If you are on Samsung ROM, get AOSP4.2 Keyboard.. It does not get affected by dpi changes..

Xposed Framework and App Settings .. Get them from the forums and install them.. Installing the framework.. And you'll be able to change dpi of any app.. Don't use it on keyboard..

keyboard/launcher dpi fix
If you figure out what the correct dpi for the keyboard and launcher are you can then set the dpi to that using the app settings module of the xposed framework.....you can fix the problem of the size by doing that
If u r rooted u can also set the DPI by manually changing it in build prop

U will need es file explorer or root explorer.....

Search for Xposed framework mod. In there you can assign different DPI for any app, so set your system to 240 and set launcher to 320. Unless you just want more shortcuts on "desktops" then in Xposed there is a mod that allows 5x4 icons on desktop. Look here mods repository.
Thanks for the help but i found some other post which i must have missed the first time around i browsed through.
