Hey everyone,
Has anyone managed to extract the UVLI1 radio yet? Just wondering. I would love a download link for testing.

The problem is that this update isn't available via Kies, it's only available on replacement, referbished, or repaired T989's, otherwise I would have done it weeks ago.
It's available on the new Gray GS2.

I think the guy that had it said it's a battery hogger and saw no improvement so he ended up not ripping it. There is another one having the same radio but he was unable to rip it out.
I have it but I don't know how to rip it out to share with the community. I asked for help with clear, concise, detailed explanation on how to remove it. (I'm a noob ) one guy tried to help but I got nowhere with his explanation, although I do appreciate his time and effort. The next brought nothing to the table and wanted a moderator to delete the thread because I asked for help. What's that about I don't know, but I am still willing to share with everyone if I could get some help.
CLEAR, CONCISE, DETAILED AND IN SEQUENTIAL ORDER. EXPLAIN IT TO ME IN STUPID SO THAT I CAN CLEARLY UNDERSTAND WHAT TO DO.

Have you tried PM'ing a dev? Void dweller made the sticky that has a list of radios for us. PM him, I'm sure he knows how
And what was the point on this radio by the way? Is it still 4.0.4 or just the radio?
maybe they deleted your thread because like this thread its kinda a duplicate of an already started UVLI1 radio thread. Also in that thread I posted directions from a link I found via simply googling directions for extracting radios.
Check the other thread for the link and hopefully it can work for you. But the directions can be found on the web and they are step by step

I know i'm not the only one but i'm like a kid waiting for Christmas. In short, I bought a new Evo 4G used, its not even 2 weeks old. Gingerbread is on it (4.22.651.2) and im waiting for the ability to root /unroot [which way im not sure] and last i was told its Ruu is not made or found yet. Please make this an easy transition and let me know here if the Ruu is created and if the steps will be different than the other steps you've guys shown here and on youtube, please! Also, I'm paying for Boost's blackberry service (60 bux a month) which i won't need when i get the Evo 4G going. I would be over grateful for your patience and consideration. Also, i did do my due diligence to look for all the info and tried several rooting options i.e.: Unrevoked3 and so on, with no luck.
Thanks!!

If you would have looked harder (sarcasm), you would have found that there is not root method for the newest OTA update. There are dozens of threads pointing this out.
Thanks, tgruendler [re-sarcasm] I did indicate that i knew the OTA wasn't able to be rooted yet HOWEVERm if it did come about if it could be posted here, i'd Highly appreciate it since there is a TON of information throughout the site! Yet, Thanks for the Razzin'

Not sure I understand your question but I presently have a Blackberry 8530 on Boost mobile but i just bought a Evo 4G which it seems to have been updated to Gingerbread 2.3.3. I can not root it to switch it to boost. I don't know if anything in your thread helped. But thanks!
you dont need root in order to get it on boost mobile
you just need to fix some things ,, due to forum rules i dont know the legal wording to use .....but on gb its a lil tricky to get the info fixed and that is where i am in this moment in time
Thanks for your reply. I've been doing alot of reading yet I'm still gun shy. Can anyone let me know if this thread is what i'm looking for?

don't even need to wait for it to install successfully. Sometimes a "fail" is actually a success, so if you're having problems of it flashing successfully then you should check your app drawer.. its probably in there already.

yep probably my 4th time lol. Since t-mobile had their "sale" and i believe prices are dropping for the gs2 (target/walmart) expect a lot of new users with derp questions.. I do hope it dies down.
I should probably create a template so i can just c/p everything over and over.
OH WAIT that's what stickies are for.

Just rooted no other changes it will not fail. You will lose root by taking the OTA and at this point rooting the OTA will be the same as flashing the OTA manually, so not really a point in worrying about it. No one knows for sure what date we will get what, but EL29 was leaked days before it OTA'd for example.

Spelling is ok but thanks for your response. Voice talk and quick submit button was the victim but once again thanks for your kind words
Edit:
by the way what I was trying to say sfhub has tools that check your OTA compliance and his methods of rooting do not mess you up for taking an OTA but honestly why are you taking an OTA anyways... my bad had to ask, it is your choice...
Hey ewmccraw did I spell everything right?

I may have misunderstood your response to the OP, but I felt like you were rebuking him a little for not using google search first as opposed to just posting the question. I apologize if I did. It's just a little pet peeve of mine when that happens. After all, it's just the internet and that's the whole purpose of a forum. You know, free discussion and all that....again, sory if I missunderstud (see what I did there?)

I will suggest using the search function as well as providing an answer... No prob and I think you spelled discusion wrong----(see what I did there) LOL
Thanks for the answers. Well the reason I wonder is because once we get ICS source and ROMs start getting built won't it be easier to flash ICS ROMs instead of having to switch around different kernels/ recoveries to flash and risk of brick will be lower? And I just didnt do a ton of searching because I been busy posting is faster.

So I have been around XDA for quite sometime and never posted, this is my first!!!!
So Just wondering if anyone having issues reading the 16Digit Code and SPC on the Sprint NoteII using any version of cdmaworkshop??
This Problem started only recently with the New 4.1.2 versions only....and to make matters worst you cannot downgrade this version!!
If anyone else having this problem do tell!! The S3 also have this issue however just downgrade the version to 4.1.1 and this will fix the problem.
Hope to get some response from this Thx!! :good: :fingers-crossed:

If you can't understand that detailed and straight forward thread, then maybe you shouldn't be flashing anything. No one wants to be responsible for ignorant people's mistakes.

My apologies for the arrogant post and any butthurtedness I may have caused.
All jokes aside, are you experiencing issues with the current radio? If not, then its best to leave it alone regardless of whether its outdated or not.
To more directly answer your question: No I don't know if your current radio is outdated.
Was that in any way more helpful my kind sir?
If dbag is short for dialysis bag then flame on.. If not flame on anyway lol
If you're on sprint latest radios are ga02 and there a flashable zip in the second post of team sourcery thread in the sprint developmental section.
If your phone is working fine no need to upgrade
