[solved]htc one x STUCK on BOOTSCREEN!!!!plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz helpppppppppp plzz

1. i flashed my phone with 3 dot removal mod
2. ma phone got stuck on boot-screen
3. i formated the sdcard the /system and did factory reset
4 . i read through all the posts..
5. followed all the steps downloaded the coustom rom
but finally when i tried to push the file using adb command it getss tranferred
but when i go to CWM recovery the file is not there in /sdcard
i tried mounting unmounting /sdcard and /system made partition still no luck ..
plzz help me plzzzz
i have spent 7 hours but still no luck..plzzz hellpp

im really worried please reply...m not able to transfer the rom on my phone

Did you flash newest recovery with USB fix. If so, you should be able to open sd from out of recovery.
If you didn't flash newest recovery, then try that.

Grab the test recovery from cwm thread.
Flash it.
Boot to recovery.
Push your custom rom to sd card via adb.
Reboot to bootloader via adb.
Extract boot.img from your rom and place it in fastboot folder.
Give this command in fastboot :
fastboot flash boot boot.img
Reboot to recovery.
Flash your custom rom by choosing it from sd card.
Reboot.
Let me know if it works or not.

One more tip :
Never wipe the sd card.

i have the lastest CWM recovery and went and mounted the /sdcard and mount usb option also but it says ulm missing
m unable to mount it...is there anyway i can use the ruu method??? coz my ruu version is 1.29.720 but its ruu is not available ..
also can i use ruu 1.29.721 for my phone???

it was just stuck
on boot splash
here is what i didt
i pushed volume up an down in at the same time then pushed power buttom in at the same time then the light in the 3 way buttom
flashed
then i let it go all 3 buttom at the same time an my phone booted up

There is no need to manually mount the sdcard, with the latest CWM the usb storage is auto-mount. Boot to recovery, connect the usb cable to your pc, if there is no pop-up, open your "my computer" you will see the HTC Storage is there.

the problem was that iwas unable to mount usb in recovery mode i downloaded the usb bug fixed recovery and baannggg it showd my phone sdcard on pc i copied the coustom rom and boom it was done thanx a lot to everyone of u

Don't you have a nandroid backup before you flashed that fonts ? If you do have, just restore your backup.
If there is no backup, the best is reflash a stock fonts

Check your PM ... give you link to stock fonts for JB.
Just flash it in recovery (I hope you do have a custom recovery installed).

I followed the guide and flashed the boot.img first but keeps on boot looping. I have flashed rooms before on previous android phones so have a bit of experience. My version number starts 2.17 maybe I am missing something.
Any help is much appreciated

You need to flash the new firmware first. With that you need compatible CID.

If you don´t wanna flash the new firmware use ARHD 9.72.

Hello and thanks for the replies. I may of read the instructions wrong bit I thought it said flash boot img then run superwipe and then flash the rom from CWM. my cid is VODAP001 and wanted the jb Rom. Is 9.7.2 jb? I was thinking of going back to stock ruu but dont think it has been released yet as cannot find my version. When I rooted the phone when it was on stock I made a backup via Rom manager but even when I try to run this in CWM it states files not found!

Your phone is branded and therefore you cannot flash JB Sense ROMs, 9.7.2 is Ice cream sandwich.

u can have jb only when ur operator release it. what for official update from htc for ur model(cid)
now if u have backup of ur stock rom , just restore it. and if it is still bootlooping flash stock kernel modules.

thanks for your reply on this. I cannot restore my backup as when I enter CWM recovery either manually or by rom manager and locate the backup I have made it will not restore. When i try to restore it just states files not found!! I have checked on the phone SD storage and it is clearly there but for whatever reason it won't restore. Not sure what else I can do now. If I have to wait for my carrier Vodafone to release the official OTA jellybean update that's fine I will do that no problem, but how can I get back to stock rom? I have checked and there is no official RUU for my version yet so I cannot get back to stock and wait for the official OTA update even if I wanted too.
Maybe I am missing something i'm not sure but if you could help that would be much appreciated

Just Go to Recovery and mount ur sd card.
Put Someother ROM(ICS) and its boot.img and flash that

ya. just like he said if u have custom recovery download a rom like viperX and put it htcstorage (storage card),(Just Go to Recovery and mount ur sd card.)
remember to follow the instruction given by the rom devoloper in his rom thread (how to install rom)

Thanks for your help. Just to clarify, I have the ARHD 9.72 (ICS) ROM on my SD card along with the superwipe that i was advised to run before flashing this ROM. With regards to boot.img it was advised to run this via fastboot type command before then running superwipe and then flashing the rom via CWM. Do i need to perform this boot.img via fastboot command before mounting the SD card and then flashing the ROM?

before going to recovery u have to go fastboot and erase cache and flash the boot,img
phone hboot connect to pc
in pc using cmd type "fastboot flash boot boot.img"(u should keep ur boot.img in fastboot folder)
than type "erase cache"
than go to recovery and mount sdcard. copy rom to it. than flash it after full wipe

thanks for the reply, i will try this yonight when i get home and reply back to you and let you know how i get on if that's ok? I am in work so don't have access to fastboot etc just my phone.

That's exactly what happened to me two days ago.. flashed the 12.0, then boot looped, then flashed the recovery but the stock rom boot looped too and my pc wouldn't recognize the phone so I adb pushed 9.7.2 and flashed it but it boot looped as well, so what I did was to download HTC SYNC and have the drivers, then flash boot.img first and then flash the rom, still didn't work so I tried the opposite - first flash the rom and only then flash the boot.img, and IT WORKED!!!!!

hello, glad to hear it's not just me....and you got sorted out! I will have a go at this tonight. The only concern I do have now though is how I would get back to stock rom if needed to receive OTA Jelly bean update when it is released. I cannot find any RUU for my vodafone UK branded version 2.17 CID VODAP001

Just wanted to update you on this issue. I have tried again to restore from my backup saved on the SD card storage but no luck. I went into recovery and mounted the sd card but still whener i try to flash the backup i get 'no files found!'
I have managed to get ARHD 9.7.2 installed at the minute but would prefer stock to get h OTA update do you have any ideas please? I have checked the files in my backup and I have the following but just cannot restore the phone from this backup!

data.ext4.tar
system.ext4.tar

Did you changed the name of the folder in any way ?
It must be clockworkmod\backup\the files ....

ANY help is much appreciated from you guys on this issue. It's doingy head in...got the back up files in CWM/backup folder on sd card i have seen them but cannot flash. CWM appears to show all the folders that are on the sd card so this looks like it is seeing the sd card but when tying to flash recovery I always get the 'file not found' error...everytime!

[Q] MIUI will not flash and is stuck in boot loop

Hi,
I started having problems with my phone a few days ago and today I attempted to reset it. It's now stuck in a boot loop every time at the MIUI logo. I've tried flashing my ROM again but had no luck. When I go into recovery it does not recognize anything on my SD card. I have had this ROM installed for some time now. I have clockwork mod but it won't load! I just want to be able use my phone again. Any suggestions are appreciated!
My phone is an HTC Droid Incredible (original) and I am running MIUI 2.11.9

A little confused. You said when you go into recovery, then you say you have CWM, but it does not load. So can you get into recovery or not?

Re flash cwm or flash twrp, and then try to do a restore or flash a rom. If recovery still wont see your sdcard, then reformat it fat32 with a pc and try again.
I assume you tried to do a factory reset from the hboot menu and thats where the problem started?

I can only get into the factory recovery. It's not CWM.

So I checked the SD card using a friends phone and everything is normal. All CWM and MIUI files are still there. When I try to go through my phone however, my PC does not recognize the device.

Are you s-off, bootloader unlocked, or both? If so just flash cwm or twrp.

Yes, S-off and it should be unlocked. On the HBOOT screen there is no option to load the SD card. It's like my phone does not recognize it.

Use a pc to backup and then format the card fat32. Then download this file http://dinc.does-it.net/Recoveries/TWRP_2.5.0.0/PB31IMG.zip and place it on the sdcard in no folders named exactly as it is (PB31IMG.zip). Boot to hboot and it should automaticly find the file and prompt you to press vol up to install.
Or use fastboot to flash this image http://dinc.does-it.net/Recoveries/TWRP_2.5.0.0/recovery.img.

Alright, so I was able to boot into recovery. However, when I try to flash a rom (I've tried two different versions of MIUI) it's stating that "some symlinks failed" and I am getting an error:
E:Error executing updater binary zip '?sdcard
Error flashing zip '/sdcard/MIUI.us_inc_v4.1.2.1
updating partition details
and then the flash fails.

Its because the rom zip has not been updated for twrp. Either learn how to mod the file, or you may want to flash cwm http://dinc.does-it.net/Recoveries/CWM_5.0.2.0/ recovery instead.

Try some other rom not miui. Also are you doing a wipe before flashing?

2 months i was installing the rom in my one x but i forget to put the rom in the sd card and also dont make a nandroid backup so i flash the boot.img and my phone was in bootloop. So i send my phone for repair. So they must use ruu so i want to know is there is ruu or they also use nandroid backup??

I was following the instructions given in this thread. Now the other mistake i made is that i did format sdcard and everything possible using the CWM recovery i have. I was hoping that i will find the RUU i need and everything will happen butter smooth :crying: .
I am unable to find RUU for CID 3.14.720.24 . please please some one help.

another quite simple way is to flash TWRP recovery or CWM 6.0.3.2
then mount USB storage from there.
now copy any custom ROM to the internal storage, and simply install it.
or copy any Nandroid backup of stock rom, and restore it.
Both ways, you'll have a working phone

Install this recovery mount the SD card and copy your nand backup on the sd card install the nand backup flash boot.img flash stock recovery.img and you are all stock

No OS, Unlocked Bootloader S-ON

Hi all.
Sorry to ask, but its not covered well and most of it that is is old and seems out of date for Marshmallow..
I have an M8: TWRP 3, Unlocked, S-ON with no OS.
Normally I would just fastboot boot.img and get on with my life but I see that most of the new ROM's don't have a boot.img and ones that do have I cant get it to load and OS?

Just download a ROM on your PC and place it onto your SD card. Put it into your phone, get into recovery, and flash the ROM.
That'll give you an OS

I have been using TWRP 3 and using 'install' selecting the zip file. The phone is bootloader unlocked, S-ON
That's what I started off and tried before resorting to this thread. One of your roms actually. It all looks really promising. It takes me though the install options but when rebooted hangs in HTC screen. this is why I wondered if I should fastboot boot.img as this is what used to have to do a long time ago when I used to use customs ROMs myself.

Sorted. It re installed twrp and all is now fine.
