I see there are number of ROMS available for the N7100. Is there any page with a description of them and their features/known bugs? If I try to read all the threads for all of the ROMS I'll probably finish up around the time the GNote 3 comes out.
Thanks...

Sorry guys if I ask here but I'm trying to flash my wife ATT Tilt 2 for the 1st time and i'd like to get some advises on which will be the best rom available.
I did quite a bit of reading of the ROM Development forum but there are so many ROM's available that it is very confusing to pick a good one at the moment.
Any advise will be appreciated.
Thanks
just do a search on the forums....this question has been asked about 500 times.
The best rom is a personal choice as you will see once you start flashing different roms. The reason for this is simple, each chef has his own style and no 2 roms are the same.
Hi guys,
I'm posting this again because my username have been changed, and I think the original thread is lost of because of that
(or unless this thread is not meant to be in this section of the forum, Dear Mods, do help me move it accordingly..Thanks!!)
Here's the previous text:
Just wondering, why are there so few custom ROMS for the N7105 (Note II LTE), while there are so many N7100 ones that span across so many pages??
Is it because we do not have enough N7105 users or the N7100 will someday be ported over ??
I've given up hope. I really don't think the devs are interested in our model
I was about to buy a n7105 tomorrow hope they do port over to the LTE model
Oh man, Check It Out!! There are already 4.1.2 N7100 ROMs ..
Really wish N7105 will be as popular (or widely available) someday ..
or at least we get some good ones ported over
The guys behind CyanogenMod have been working hard to get CM 10.1 (based on the Android 4.2 branch) on as many devices as possible. Now, the first builds are available for the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 LTE.

There doesn't seem to be more than one or two roms for the verizon n2 so I have to ask a somewhat silly question- is there a way to port or use roms posted here? I came from the S3 and there are tons there but was shocked to find low support for the n2 until I saw the many roms in this forum. Of course it was impossible to mix carriers on the S3, so are these roms strictly for the ww version or what?
I have the s4 tmobile version running kitkat and I just rooted and put twrp on it.
I was wondering if there is any current roms that aren't incredibly bugged or are just plain stupid.
my baseband version is m919uvufnb4
I only have ever flashed things on my tablet so i am fairly new to phone roms and even tmobile for that matter so I don't know the good developers.
I've been enjoying Insane Kit Kat.
Sent from my SGH-M919 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I've also been using Insane Kit Kat rom. Loving it. go to http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-tmobile/development and you will see posts about lots of different roms. If you are unsure about them then read the forum posts about it and if that doesn't answer your questions then post it in the forum for the rom you have questions about. There are quite a few different roms. Some are modified versions of what is currently on your phone and others are based on other builds. I would recommend if you want wifi calling stick with roms that are based on Touch Wiz.
Please note, threads asking for 'which ROM should I use" are not permitted on XDA.
They inherently degrade into arguments over which ROM is 'best'. And that is an illogical discussion with no answer because no ROM is best.
Only YOU can determine which is the best rom FOR YOU based on your needs and usage. What makes a great ROM for me might be an awful choice for you.
As such the ONLY way to determine the right ROM for you is to read all the first posts of ROM threads to narrow down your options then try a few out. Try out some touchwiz and some AOSP. It's like buying a car. You find 3 or 4 you want to test drive then give them all a spin before choosing.
Plus, you will no longer be new to phone ROMs after this process. You will learn quite a lot from just one round of this. And that is a gift that keeps on giving.
Hello, I have a SPH-L900 since 2 years ago, I did the gsm mod and it worked perfectly, already bricked it sometimes and always got it back to work but I never knew the difference between the roms of SPH-L900 and N7100. Can anyone explain me the differences and maybe if you know it, what is needed to port a rom from N7100 to SPH-L900?
well i don't have to much experience with the N7100 but I've been building a lot with t0lte/l900. The first thing ill say is its not so much about porting the rom from n7100 as it is porting it too l900.
so with that said its hard to know were to start as i don't know how much experience you have. also since you use a gsm mod do you still use l900 roms or t0lte?

make sure you pay attention to the "Prepare the device-specific code" section
take a look at you cm.dependencies file to get a good idea of what repos your phone uses to build
github.com/CyanogenMod/android_device_samsung_l900/blob/cm-12.1/cm.dependencies
so back to about porting roms to the l900 as long as its a cyanogenmod based rom its probably easier to start from your respective cm repo in are case the l900 repo then to try and convert the n7100 repo.

Yeah, I'm still using L900 roms but there was one rom I've seen that asked for some kind of change in the files so it would match the N7100 roms. Never tried to do that. I'm not experient at building roms, I have some experience in programming since I'm an IT student. I was asking that because I wanted to try to port some roms but the day after I posted this I managed to break the digitizer while exchanging the outer glass, so no good now. Thanks for your help ^^
