I bought xda premium twice. (on two lines) it says incompatible with my phone. Samsung stratosphere with dwitherells tweaked 2.2 and the oc kernel (from he who got angry!!) why it says i cant get what i paid for?

And i bet my lunch money it would work as i had it on this same mop phone before i got an insurance replacement due to a screen crash!!

What version of android is your phone running?
If your on GB then the newest XDA Premium app won't work because it's for 3.0 upwards.

I'm having the same problem with my T-Mobile G2x since I reverted back to rooted stock (2.3.4). If they updated it to only work with 3.+, then they should either offer a refund or create a GB version available (which in reality would only be the last version before the update)

Why on some ROMs the market you can purchase to your sprint bill than others bill to credit card
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
Good question, it could be the market version.
I think sprint removed that option of billing apps to your account.

I just installed a different rom and now I'm able to charge apps to my bill.

pull the vending.apk out of your rom and try and use it on another rom to see if the option is there...

Does anybody have any idea when the Samsung apps like Samsung remote will be updated so they work on the GN ?
Thanks Ross
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Probably not until the next version of Samsung's TouchWiz comes out with ICS on their other devices. Otherwise they have no incentive to update them to work on ICS because they won't have any devices running it.
Samsung isn't in charge of the apps on this device.
If I managed to get the apk for the app do you think it would work ?

Sure you could try but theres no guarantee it works as it should.
But like I said above you're never going to get these apps officially supported on these devices. The software comes from Google, not Samsung (unlike a SGSII, for example, which gets TouchWiz).
You can download samsung remote free from market

You can't if you are running ics it does not appear. If someone has a link to the apk that would be brilliant

Most of those Samsung apps require touchwiz, thus will FC out of the box.

This app can't require touchwiz I used to have it on my Desire HD

Not all, I was referring to the replacement apps that come bundled with touchwiz and some of the additional apps included.

Does anyone know if nfc works on this rom?....I remember seeing it under settings when I was using the inception rom but I was unable to activate it.
And if so where do I find it as it isn't under the wifi/data settings
Sent from my SGH-I927 using xda app-developers app
Afaik, the glide doesn't have an nfc chip. Although i'd be delighted to be wrong.
Yeah I believe it does.....it just wasn't able to be activated before but supposedly under ics its supposed to work...I just can't seem to find it anymore since I just flashed the new stock ics rom

I do not believe the glide has nfc.

The at&t and rogers glides are identical hardware. Wikipedia does not list the glide as having nfc and niether did a couple other spec lists that I encountered on my quick google. In this situation, i'd chalk it up to an oversight in the creation of inception. Once again, i'd love to be wrong though.
Weird because I saw it in a few places.....

Probably would have been better to send that in a PM.
Some places get insanely self-righteous and ban immediately, not even caring about circumstance.
I was banned from Tonymac forums for using a cracked copy of OS X so I can buy a legal copy (It's $20) because it requires access to a Mac otherwise. They didn't care. I was flamed at for stealing and banned.

My screen isn't working and I had rooted via framaroot however I recently unroofed with framaroot. I would flash stock however my phone is unusable as the screen doesn't work although I will be sending it In for warranty. I recall my download mode status as official with no flash counters. Will Samsung find that my phone was rooted even though I had unrooted and that my download status was all official?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
OK so flashed stock. It turns out the screen is dead although the phone is on. I flashed stock and I gave it in.
