I am just curious if anyone used their last Premier Gold upgrade to get the Note II? From what I read and understood, this year (2012) was the last of the Premier Gold annual 1yr upgrades. If not used by December 31, you'd switch to the new upgrade cycle.
What has me a lil bit confused, is that I used mine to get the GNII. I had been sitting on my upgrade since September. However, when I logged into Sprint to check my account, it showed I was eligible for an upgrade again in 345 days. Which means my upgrade was reset to November 2013.
So, unless this some how gets reset at the end of the year, it looks like I scored another 12mo upgrade. I'll definitely fight it if it gets changed or moved though. I asked in chat when my next upgrade is and the transcript was sent to my email. Plus I have a screen grab of their system, showing my upgrade date and I saved the text that also confirms my upgrade date.
Just curious if anyone else experienced the same thing. I asked on SprintUsers and a rep said he heard of a few of these going through, but the system shouldn't have done it. So maybe I got lucky, I dunno?

I have a corporate account with our family business. My line I used to get epic 4g touch on release date. Both of my parents got iPhones 4s on release day. Sprint must have forgotten to reset the upgrade because both their accounts was eligible for upgrade which I in turn jacked to get my note 2. Also they let me bill to our account

well I upgraded to the s3 in aug but when i look on my account, I can upgrade right now if want to. Not sure why its shows that. Even my contract end date did not change when I got my new phone. Trying to see if I want to upgrade to the note2 now or just wait to see wait as the s3 has been a nice phone.

I've had my note 2 for over thirty days. Maybe they update the status of your upgrade after that.
I have upgraded quiet a few people and checked lines for people, where them and their spouse got phones the same day and one is available now "1 year later" while other is 8 months or so later. Also have done upgrades on some customers recently and when I recheck their eligibility it says a year later. Not sure why some have and some don't. Some have only been Sprint customers for a couple years with no discount....Also a good hint if you have a biz account with credit union discount a lot of times you get early upgrades or it doesn't consume your discount =) Transferred a regular customer of mine to her dad's biz account with credit union account, she went from upgrade sometime middle of next year to instant upgrade after transfer of liability was done. =)

I was with Sprint about 15 years and they barely tried to stop me. Was promised 1 more upgrade in 2012 after I bought my E4GT with the premier program. Customer Service even noted my account. Told me in 3 months I will see my upgrade eligibility for Oct 2012. Didn't see it so called Sprint. After going up the chain and speaking to supervisors, the last person I spoke to actually saw the note on my account and even read it back to me. Said I was lied to and the rep gave me the wrong information and he cannot honor it.
He said usually I would let someone out of contract ETF free for this but since I can already get out for free because of the discount change there is nothing he can do. After being on the phone with him for 2 hours not believing he won't honor what I was told with the proof written in my account, he said I can give you a $50 credit if you want to stay and for your time on the phone just now. I said piece out and canceled mine and my wife's line.
Sprint used to care about their long time customers, not anymore so I saw no reason to stay with them...
Nice to see you over here!

i got mine the friday before release.... still no bonus? maybe only brand new activations? (used to have nexus s 4g with wallet)
the pre order email said something liek 4 weeks right?
No, it states that if you activate google wallet on a Galaxy Nexus for Sprint you will be credited. You are suppose to deactivate it on another device and reactivate it on the new one. I didn't activate mine until the GNexus was released for that purpose. The MEID is recorded and that's how Sprint knows you have activated it.
Got mine 4/20. Tomorrow will be 3 weeks. Still only have the 10 bux. I hope us early preorder-ers aren't screwed cuz we activated before 4/22 like the promo says.

So I called up Money Network and they stated that after activation it will take up to 3 weeks as expected but some may get it sooner. There is no way to check and see but as long as you got the $10 and your account is active you will get it. If for some reason you don't get it within 3 weeks call up money network @ (855) 896-0693.

Yeah, just sell the SG III on ebay for like $350 or $400 and then your getting the Note for the upgrade price.
You have a trial period with sprint of 14 days I believe so you could exchange it within that time. I almost jumped ship and got the s3 as well, but research showed me the note 2 was coming a month later.

No upgardes are after 18 mo. But I called and complained I wanted an early upgrade and they sent me to the retention dept and they gave me an override to upgrade at the lowest price available so if you really want it call CSR and complain till they send you till retention dept.
If you have a business account with them or a grandfather account they would I got my phone this weekend after a year upgrade from a 4s now to a samsung galaxy note II.
I upgraded my line two months ago for the S3 and on the 9th I walked in and paid no commitment price for the Note 2.

It really depends on how long you have been with the company. It has been my experience after 12 years with them that they will bend over backwards for you. I got my note 2 for 100 bucks and a credit for a 100 bucks off my bill, so its like I got it for free. High five that!!!!! Woot!!!!

I bought a Galaxy S3 from them, it was 29 days old. My contract act had 17 months left and they return my S3 no restocking fee and I got a early upgrade for the note2. Also got a Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 all for $600 after my S3 return I paid $40 out of pocket. Sold the Galaxy Tab for 450 going to cancel the contract on that and I'm still up 100 plus I called and complained about my service the last few days cause they finally upgraded Denver to LTE and got another $100 off my bill.

Definitely beneficial and I'm actually saving $1 by adding it to my account by basically replacing my current insurance with that plan which is cheaper and allows me to upgrade every 6 months.. Can't wait for the HTC one max and note 3 to be announced..

There is an open enrollment period for current customers, you need to have a phone on EIP and thats it.
I came across this article comparing the new plans that TMobile and AT&T have intro'd - its worth a read if you are considering JUMP
I'm on a Classic plan my contract ends August next year. I wonder if I qualify for this? Already have insurance.

So with Tmobile you can pay an extra $10 month and when a new phone is released you have to trade up the phone that is on the EIP.. sounds like a rip to me. But to each his own.
Let me know if I have this right. I am on a classic plan. When the Note 3 comes out, I go in and pay $200 to cancel my classic plan, then buy the Note 3 and sign up for jump!. Then sell my Note 2 to pay for all of this. The only problem I see is that I have had the Note 2 for 9 months and it is still the only phone I want.

It's really more of an easy way to always have the latest and greatest. It's about the same price as selling your current phone and buying at full price. If you keep your phone in perfect condition and can sell it for top dollar than that is a better deal but a lot of hassle. I personally love this plan.

This is good but would rather have timely updates to continue to make my phone feel new. My only concern is this could be an incentive for t mobile not to push updates. And if the carrier isn't pushing them the oems may decide it not necessary to update despite the fact they are almost always a year or more behind what aosp is. I mean 4.3 is around the corner and an we are still on 4.1.
Sent from my SGH-T889 using xda premium
I think that T-Mobile is being pretty generous. They are basically buying any phone back for $360 bucks ($20x18months). Which can't be a money maker for them. They are probably hoping that they can sell the refurbs real cheap and get more people on monthly plans. 0 down and $15 a month and they only break even.

They do push out updates for a lot of the flagship devices. Hence the gs2 started on gingerbread and now has jellybean(I would bet money that's where it will end) I am well aware that unless something radically changes it will always be slow especially since they are dependent on oems. My concern is that this could make things worst. Unless Samsung starts pushing their own os (what ever it's called) and bypasses the carriers through kies like how apple does it through itunes. In the end I am happy with touchwiz and am looking more forward to an updated touchwiz rather than an updated android version.
