Change Keytones? - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note II

Is there a way to change keytones or tone when dialer buttons are pressed?

Not that I'm aware of. I'd Love to change mine lol

I've been able to change lock sounds and pen attach/detach sounds by renaming but this doesnt seem to work with keyboard and dialer tones.

You Don't like the annoying water sound?? Install this...

This will only work with rooted devices. This will change the touch sound and the lock and unlock sounds. use any file explorer with root acces and overwrite the files in this directory.
/system/media/audio/ui.
Disable the water ripple effect in Settings>Security>Lock Screen Options
** Please back up the original files first before overwriting.**
You can also just turn those off in the settings menu under sound. It's really simple....

Yes, but some of us like me like to have the sounds like the older Galaxy phones. I personally don't like the water effects.

Thank you, I do know that. I want NORMAL keypad tones when I dial, not a water droplet sound you know.

I'm working on this right now. since our ROM does not come with DialerTabActivity.apk I have to hunt for the dialpad sound. I have decompiled 4 apk and can't seem find it.

Homemade swype keyboard

Hypothetically speaking, if one found a keyboard they liked but the only thing missing was swype, could a developer rebuild the app to include it? I'm really liking A.I.type keyboard but no swype capability is a bummer. Just curious.

Anything is possible, though I would think that's too much work to reverse engineer something that's already available on the play store and fits 99% of people's needs.
As it turns out, while using the keyboard the app prompted me to leave feedback and of course I told them it was awesome but would love to see swype integrated and they actually emailed me last night and told me they were currently working on putting it in.

I really like the stock keyboard but I like the layout options they have on theirs. I can put up the "period" key, "comma" key, smiley face, mic key, and numbers keys all at the same time without needing any of them to be long press keys. You can also adjust the keyboard height from the keyboard itself without going into settings. It seems to be a lot more convenient to use the keyboard this way.

Zedge is the ****
I use NES and Sega sounds. My buddy uses Zelda secret area find sound its pretty sweet. I use sonic checkpoint. And I had faxanadu for my ring tone at one time. As soon as cm10 incorporates sounds for the s pen I'll figure something out.
My suggestion is to name the sound as what you use it for on your sd card. Like "gmail notification" so if you flash a new ROM its instantaneous to setup new sounds.

Nextel chirp and single beep.
I turned my s pen sound into a sword sound to make a point that the pen ifs mightier than the sword? Lol

I wish I could transfer multiple files at once with root explorer. Save some time.
I just changed my lock and unlock sounds to the metal gear solid codec opening and closing sounds. Its cliche but I enjoy it.

I changed a few.
When I receive mail a ladys voice speaks "Gmail" or "emailb depending on the account.
Any facebook notification and a lady speaks "facebook".
Text message triggers a ladys voice saying "text".
Comes in handy when driving.

How to get rid of shutter sound?

How do i get get rid of the shutter click?
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda app-developers app
Have not found a way - only thing you can do under sound settings change it to vibrate or silent... if in silent obviously you won't hear the phone ring, notifications, etc.
You can try this:
http://androidforums.com/viper-4g-lte-all-things-root/632186-guide-disable-shutter-sound.html
Don't know if it works...
Isn't there a setting in the camera settings? Shutter sound is the setting you can turn off in the camera.
Depends on country and laws, for example in korea camera will shutter even if you set silent mode and put headphones in.
So the only way is delete the shutter sound, which is kinda illegal

Open build.prop in any text editor. There scroll down to "ro.camera.sound.forced=1"
Change that value from 1 to 0 like this "ro.camera.sound.forced=0"
Now open camera and go to sound option, "Off" option will be there. :good:
Just to add, on a Telus' E973, you won't get the "off" option, but if you put the phone to "silent" mode, you won't have any shutter sound after changing the build.prop.

Change doink doink keypad sounds?

Hi , has anyone managed to get the original keypad sounds working with the stock dialer i.e from the GS2/GN1? I've changed the touchscreen and capacitive button touches to the 'normal' click, but haven't found anywhere to download the original keypad tones. I'm rooted using omega and I don't want to use a 3rd party dialer.
