Does anyone know what happend to the voodoo audio and display controls ?I remember it from my epic but haven't heard of it since I switched ....

No need for it on this phone... the GS1 series of phones had over saturation and (allegedly) poor sound on stock (sounded fine to me). But all is well on the GS3 even the gs2 didn't need mods for it. So I guess the voodoo guy figured if it ain't broke don't fix it. Although he may want to work on something for the GNEX. When I had mine the first thing I thought was why does my screen have a purple tint...

Check over in the OG Epic general forums. Shinydude had a convo with Supercurio about the future of Voodoo sound and all. By what I read, Supercurio was working on a new version of Voodoo sound, but this "new version" would be a closed sourced project :/ So developers wi not be able to inject it/incorporate it into the kernel like the old Voodoo app

I really hope it doesn't come to the GS3. Voodoo color ruined otherwise great roms and kernels on the epic

There was always ROMs and kernels that had an option of choosing with voodoo or without. I paid for Voodoo and I hope it comes to the GS3.

I just switched from the original epic to the GS3, and the first thing i did was check if there were any kernels with voodoo color support for it.

I too paid for the VooDoo control App. But I never used it for the color. I only used it for the sound because the Epic had such low volumes. I just got my GS3 a few days ago & first impressions are that VooDoo will not be needed for me.
We can't use voodoo sound we don't have exynos boards so we don't have wolfsen dac's. We have qcomm made dac's. Not to say one is better I believe their both on par with each other. I did here were going to be getting voodoo louder to boost the maximum output of our audio processors but that's about it.

No support for Voodoo Color is the reason I haven't moved from the Epic to the S3 yet. It is not as bad as the stock Epic but it is still far too cool (7500-8000k ) with no way to correct it properly.
A more detailed analysis of the S3, and the Galaxy S.. Both are way over-saturated and too blue, but the Galaxy S is much more "blueish".

Supercurio tweet about this before on how this doesnt actually work. Most developers put this in the rom because people ask for it. It is rather easy to do with root explorer. It might look diffrent but you are looking at it differently. You want to see an affect so it is there. It is like if you believe in it. It will be there.
There is thread somewhere around here showing pictures even if it does work its very insignifcant effect.
What would be more effective is bringing back mdnie settings in the rom. So you could adjust the volumes of color.

Is there a stock fc09 MTD kernel, that has no voodoo color, voodoo sound or any other tweaks, but has the led fixed? My epic hates voodoo color. If there is not can somone please make one?
Im New here but not to android for everyone who does not know who I am this may refresh your memory

CM9 for Epic is missing 5 of the 8 motion sensors usable in Gingerbread. This apparently is the cause of auto-rotation not working for the minority of users. Many of these users are able to make auto-rotation work by calibrating sensors using the temporary sdcard EL30. Thanks to Joseph Shugzda for identifying this issue!
Your phone hates voodoo color or you just never adjusted it?
Oh and no there isnt a stock mtd kernel with the led fix. Without voodoo mods.

Yeah it hates it i tryed messing with the the settings in voodoo many times either the color looks wrong i dont get the green flash but if the color is perfect I get the green flash, the best results is in any stock kernel, cm7 kernel and cm9 kernel.
Have you tried just recently? I know marcusant and Earthbound kernels have implemented the green screen fix.

Sorry meant to say, what ever colors that are set on a stock ei22, el30 or fc09 kernel are perfect for me at least.
There are no settings once voodoo color is introduced into the kernel that make it look like stock.

problem though here is that most people will use a higher RGB like 240-269 for red and green and is is usally 320 to about 380.
This is coming form someone who loves voodoo i haven't had an issue using settings that low but i like to have it higher as i suggested.
No voodoo on my tablet and I hate it. Colors are so washed out but the voodoo colors on my Epic are......well........epic! Blacks are black not grey. And I can read this 4 " screen better than the 8" tablet.

Hello Everyone, I was wondering if T-mobile has a volume mod such as the one listed here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1722136&page=5
I tried installing that but it didn't work. I'm guessing because that thread is for the international version of the phone. Does anyone know if there is a USA mod or another way to increase the volume? I've searched and couldn't find anything about it. I would have thought someone would have asked this question already.

I looked it up and I'm going to give it a shot, is there anyway to adjust the hardware volume though? Will a mod or a custom rom do it?

Ok maybe I'll hold off on doing a custom rom for now. I hate missing my notifications and need the increase in volume. I guess it is only a matter of time before someone figures it out. My old t=mobile vibrant sucked but the one thing it did let me do was just type in a code and increase the volume through the menu. If only it were that easy on this phone.
I actually find this phone louder than my old galaxy S. Either way, Volume+ will definitely work for ics.

Also interested.
I too am very interested in the volume hack mod like the one in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1722136 for this US T-Mobile variant. Before the JB update I tried volume+ and was not really impressed. While it did make the phone louder, it came at the expense of sound quality. This is mainly because the app is basically just turning up the various bands on an equalizer all at the same time.
Shame that the international version gets all the attention but I guess I can understand why since there are more of them around.

well im personally using aokp right now. it takes care of a lot of the cm10 bugs and it has a few customizations that i really enjoy already baked in (i.e. center clock and circlemod battery). the main reason i want the paranoid android is the in depth ui changing. and with jellybean now having 3 different uis baked in id love to go through and tinker with all of that. i really want the 7inch notification bar ui and the tablet camera ui ( i love the option wheel look). but just like it was mentioned earlier, more roms is never a bad thing but the only way i see me giving up aokp is for some PA love lol

The thread related to this kernel is here. So, if you have any question, you can ask them there. Trinity community is very helpfull.

I'm quite happy with the 'CM default' color multiplier settings of CM10 M1. You don't need an entire ROM for changing the colors though, just a custom kernel with color control is sufficient. You could try one of the following kernels:
- Franco.kernel
- Trinity
- GlaDOS
does cm10's color multiplier settng help reduce the yellow tint on the screen? i have seen such problem wth moto droid razr too. it has a yellowish tint which makes the images look too darker and kinda bad while s2 has a good screen the whites are good. earlier i thought its the problem of AMOLED screens but after seeing the quality in s2 i believe its the problem with the settings of nexus and droid razr..
Use trinity kernel. The stock trinity colours are exactly what you want.
