I have been jumping from one rom to the other for quite a few days now and recently I noticed that my navigation does work anymore
I am currently on Liquid Smooth but have not been able to get this to work on many other ROMs like PA 2.55/ PK 1.40 or Task & Ktoonsez.
I have flashed the latest gapps. I also make sure I do a clean install every time I flash a new rom (wide data/factory, cache, dalvik and then I also did a format /system and format /data).
For some reason, apps like Weather, that need to find my location , are able to get it right and show me correct location results.
Could someone please help ?

Here's a quick and easy question.
If I were to update my ROM to the latest version Cyanogen, how would I do that in Clockwork? Is it just choose zip from SD card? (I'm already on CM7 so there's no need to wipe)
Thanks,
Upgrading from earlier version of CyanogenMod 7?
Perform a NANDroid backup of your current ROM.
Flash CyanogenMod (your Google Apps will be backed up & restored automatically).

Hmm, my phone seems to freeze once all of my apps have loaded. I may end up doing a wipe.
you can not do anything wrong when you wipe it so...
there is always a chance to brick a phone, but you know what I mean.
Hi I've tried to change my Build. I'm currently using Android Revolution HD. I've got the kernel the program came with - android-build. I have tried changing it over to a whole of builds. AOKP, Gummy
It never successfully launches any of them.
Every time I wipe data, cache and I wipe Dalvik too.
I don't know what to do...
Is there any one who is on Rogers that can do this?
Thanks guys

Don't really make sense??? Try to also format system in recovery ( it won't touch ur personal stuff ) then do all the other wipes then try flash another Rom if that don't work I.got nothing, if u can't figure out there's always fastboot stock Google .img
Can you provide a step-by-step instruction on how you tried to update your Galaxy Nexus ? I'm not on Rogers (I'm on TELUS), but still, maybe we can help you and see if you are following the right path !
You're not doing something right if you can't get another ROM installed.
Do this.
Make sure ROM and Gapps package for that ROM is on your SD card
Reboot into recovery
Wipe data
Wipe cache
Go to Advanced, Wipe dalvik
Go to Mounts and Storage, format system, and cache
INSTALL ROM based on 4.03
Install Gapps
Reboot and Enjoy

I would back your phone up before doing this. Formatting your system deletes the operating system.

Correct. Listen to him and PLEASE make a back-up. I forgot to mention that.
Every morning, I must go to the Parameters menu and choose my provider's network because Android "forget" it during the night. If I don't do that, I can't use my 3G connection, but I can make and receive calls.
This bug is on the 7.1 and 7.2 ROMs
Please help !
Did you tried reading the rom thread?
I'm using 7.2 and it's all fine here.
Yes.
It happen even with the 7.1, a stable ROM.
And this problem doesn't appear with others ROMs

The One Carrying the number 260 its the latest nightly friend while the other is The release candidate. i suggest you go with the RC cz nightlies are experimental and may have problems.Hope That I Helped You Bro
Ok it works.
Instead of doing "full wipe", I did "format all partitions (except sdcard)"
After that, I have installed the ROM 7.1 and it works.
Generally whenever I install a new rom (update or not) I will use the following steps:
download rom / put on sd
Wipe data / factory reset
Wipe dalvik and cache partition
Format System
flash rom
flash gapps
Reboot
This has always worked without fail and in this case it seems to have worked again.
However, I noticed in my settings menu that I no longer have "launcher options" under interface. Has this option been removed from the newest nightly? or has something gone wrong during my flash?
Used:
clockwork-6.0.1.2-d2att
cm-10-20121111-NIGHTLY-d2att
JB-4.2-Gapps-signed.zip
Phone:
Samsung Galaxy S3 SGH 1747
Carrier: Bell
EDIT: Also receiving: Android is upgrading, starting apps on every single reboot. Still loads fine but minor annoyance.
EDIT2: Figured it out, installing the 4.2 gapps was causing all problems. Reverted back to the 4.1.2 gapps and everything is fine. Thread can be closed.
SOLVED!
Could I ask: Did you have to reflash the ROM to fix this? Or just flash an older version of the gapps?
I have the same problem and just got all my apps back ... would rather not have reflash the ROM and then restore everything if I don't have to.

You do not have to wipe data if the rom is the same. Just wipe cache/dalvik and then reflash rom/gapps 4.1.2.
Installing home2launcher will also wipe away your option of launcher under settings. Which is unfortunate.

Hi guys,
How do I properly update Lineage OS nightly updates or any other ROM for that matter. The update through the "About Phone" doesn't seem to work. It gets to about 70% then tells me the download failed. I tried many times. I did some research around the forums and everyone seems to say do it manually by downloading the ROM and flashing it via TWRP overtop. So I did that but when it rebooted it lost all my user and app data and I had to reapply all my settings manually.
I also did a twrp backup before I did the previous install. I tried to do a restore and same thing. It seemed to have lost all my app data and user data. Had to redo everything manually so instead i just installed the latest nightly and redid everything manually. Did I misunderstand how to update the ROM?
Thanks!

Just download the full rom and follow the procedure.
1. Take a backup of System, Data and Boot.
2. Wipe System
3. Flash in this order: ROM > Gapps (Yes you do need to do this)> Custom kernel (optional) > SuperSU/Magisk (optional) > any other mods.
4. Now wipe Cache and Dalvik and reboot!
5. First boot might take a while. If it loops just try it again or restore the backup and create a new topic!
Ah thank you! I was selecting the wrong options. This worked
