Is there a way to link the pop up browser in frostyJB to google chrome instead of the default samsung browser?

You should be able to select what browser to use when you click something.

Somehow whenever I go to download a zip file from an xda link. It tells me download unsuccessful? Is this a new feature on gingerbread? Is there a workaround?

Try using Dolphin, Boat Browser, or Opera. These always work for me when the stock browser fails.

Another member was having the same problem in another thread. Below is my quoted advice:
Download this app (it's tiny) from the market. It works with your native browser by unlocking it's ability to download files of all types. Install it and open it. Arrow back out. Then open your browser and download your file like usual. You should be able to download any file of any type from now on.

Has anyone found an easy way to delete the T-Mobile added web bookmarks?
I am rooted already and have gotten rid of the bloatware, but haven't found any easy way to delete the bookmarks.
Thanks.
Downloads skyfire and delete them from there.

Anyone know if there is a mod or way to add the exit browser function on a rom. The option is there on wildchilds Xquizit v46 Rom when youre using the browser. Thanks for your help

This is prolly not the answer you're looking for but Dolphin has this built in. Will also auto clear cache etc whatever upon closing. Not sure if you're wedded to the stick browser.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
Just copy the browser.apk from that ROM to the touchwiz one

Thanks, will try that

Just curious to see what people are using for a browser?

Dolphin BETA. Hands down the best.
Chrome is my favorite. Syncs with all my desktop Chrome bookmarks.
Sent from my Note 2
I recently started using the Firefox browser. It supports flash, ad block add on, and you can sync it with your computer like you can in chrome.

Yup +1 for FireFox...
Mac
I've been loving Chrome lately.
I've tried and installed most, my vote goes to dolphin beta for regular use, and Firefox beta for flash or online streaming.

Dolphin Beta does Flash too. Check my post history (too lazy to find link right now)...
Use chrome on my desktop, and it syncs my history and all. So predictive text and search history show up. Love it.

The stock browser is the fastest to me and it supports flash.
I have tried those popular ones. Chrome is a kind of my favorite with all power features but it's a bit slow. Dolphin is very good one in all around in any devices but still feel a little heavy. I love AOSP stock browser. You can find a flashable zip in somewhere this forum. I like it maybe because I like CM a lot, too. Controlling tabs is easiest I think.
Dolphin without a doubt

Stock browser. It consistently gets the lowest sunspider scores from the ones I've tried and the difference in loading speed is noticeable in real world situations as well, not just in the numbers.

I use Dolphin, Chrome, and Firefox. Dolphin is my favorite, followed closely by Chrome.
Anyone uses one browser have an issue with seeing some menu options? Everything is always blank for me. Is there anyway to fix this myself or is it the developers issue to fix?
Also anyone recommend any browsers? I used to use dolphin which was the best ever but lately its only been getting worse. All I need is a browser that kind of has the "speed dial" options of dolphin (a start up screen with links to bookmarked pages).

Or if you're using an Android version above Gingerbread, you can use Chrome for Android

Speed dial plus speed is UC Browser (English version), but I doubt you won't like it. As for me I use UC when I download things (multithread acceleration) but use Jellybean's default browser for else.

I haven't tried opera yet. And chrome isn't exactly what I'm looking for but I could give it a try. And ill try uc too. Thanks for ur replies.

Flashplayer doesn't seem to work on uc so I need to find something else lol.

I'm using opera on 4.2.2. Maybe you have a DPI conflict with the play store. Flash works sometimes on opera, but is getting progressively jankier as time goes by.

Nope, that's a history issue for UC 7.x, they need a plugin. UC 8 natively support as I've read somewhere.

Ya I've changed the dpi ofmy phone. I guess ill just stick with one browser for now its only problem is the menu options don't show but other than that it works fine.
