Hi all,
I used GooManager to get TWRP installed and managed to successfully flash the lastest CM10 stable but TWRP will not flash any Gapps ZIP files, I've tried the latest and some older ones.
Every time I try and flash it fails in TWRP.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
SOLVED: Got this fixed, didn't realize the GAPPS download was bad. Got a good ZIP file and all is well. Feel free to delete.

Updated my DHD running CM6.1.3 to the latest 7.0 nightly build (build 30 iirc) by wiping data in recovery (factory reset) and wiping cache partition, installing the ROM via recovery, rebooting, installing latest signed Google Apps via recovery, and rebooting. I still don't have any Google Apps installed and no way to get them. How do I get my market back? Do I have to flash CWM3? :S
Hey humpser.
What you need to do is flash the latest ClockWorkMod recovery, manually reboot into it recovery mode and then reflash the Gapps. For CM7 to work on the Desire, this is necessary. It's suggested to use the light version that would have been downloaded to your SD from ROM manager, filename "gapps-gb-20110115-signed.zip" as this installs the main Gapps and the rest are downloaded from the Market when you sign into your account. Link below:

Here's the recovery download link - http://postkreative.eu/ace-cwm-3.0.0.5.img
To do this, you need the Android SDK installed and running on your PC.
- fastboot flash recovery /path/to/<recovery>.img
- fastboot reboot
Here's Cyan's guide - http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php?title=Fastboot
Thanks for the detailed reply, I've used fastboot before but will need to give it another go to flash ClockworkMod Recovery latest version. Will update as to how it goes. Thanks again.

google made Cyanogen remove the copywrited parts of android, thats why you have to flash the GApps seperately
Yup, I'm aware, was just having trouble as my old CWM Recovery 2.5 wouldn't flash 'em.
Got fastboot working again after a bit of fiddling and updated to CWM3, flashed gapps and it works great! Thanks!

Clockwork recovery 3 is available through ROM Manager now , so no need to flash CWM3 through fastboot anymore
I want to flash the CM 12.1 to my T-Mobile Galaxy S III but I don't know where to download the gapps for the latest nightly here
i also dont know if T-Mobile is arm, arm64, or x86
so I cant download in this site from cynogenmod
another question- is it the Cyanogen Recovery from this link will be use to flash the ROM or it is the recovery that will be use after flashing the CM12.1?
Use the ARM gapps.
I recommend using either Philz Touch recovery or TWRP, both of which can be flashed using Odin.
I have never used Cyanogen's recovery but have had great success with Philz and TWRP.

thanks on your reply but I already solve it using the recovery from ROM manager app that I downloaded in the Play store but there is still a problem on it when I update using CyanogenMod updates it will fail to flash automatically after clicking install, so I still need to flash it manually, that's why I still need to flash the recovery provided with CyanogenMod
I have never used the recovery from cyanogen so I don't know if it will automatically dirty flash the update. I also don't know if the cyanogen recovery can flash other zips such as supersu, different gapp versions, etc.
Automatic flashing is not something I like to do because a nightly can cause problems. By using twrp, I can easily make a nandroid backup before flashing a new nightly.
Just tried the Cyanogen recovery and, after downloading a nightly update, I click install and it reboots to recovery and dirty flashes the updated ROM; however, the Cyanogen recovery would not flash the LP Gapps while Philz and TWRP were able to flash the Gapps. Also, the Cyanogen recovery does not have an option to create a nandroid backup.
Hello, i'm trying to get gapps working on my i9195, I installed TWRP using heimdall as per CM Wiki instructions, then installed CM13 and try it with success.
Then i restarted to recovery and installed pico opengapps. It all went bananas!
I tried with nano gapps
I tried CM12.1 and it's pico gapps
I tried CM12.1 and it's nano gapps
I formated /system
I formated *
Then i read somewhere, that to flash gapps CWM is needed, so i'm trying to get it, but i can't. At least a flashable one.
I tried flashing a zip (containing a CWM6051 recovery.img file) and it didn't work.
And i can't get a proper .zip file containing the correct files on it. (As far as i know, an .img is for heimdall and can't be used inside a .zip)
I can't use Odin (don't know why, it does not work) and Heimdall seems to fail flashing almost anything but TWRP
Can anyone point me in the direction to get a CWM image for htis phone flashable via TWRP recovery?
Thanks for your time.
I personally don't have that model, but I found this: http://www.s4miniarchive.com/2014/01/cwm-touch-6046-for-galaxy-s4-mini-gt.html , decide for yourself but it looks quite legit to me
I have a Samsung Galaxy G4 (T-Mobile version). I had a boot loop on Recovery problem with it. I reflashed the recovery a couple of times, TWRP and CM recovery. Neither wants to start up when I try to boot into recovery. (I have tried adb and using the keys.) Usually when I would flash a new kernel it would drop into recovery. When I upgraded to the nightlies, it went into recovery, installed the kernel, and rebooted.
Now I have a CM 13 kernel, but I am missing the proper gapps package.
Is there a way to install the gapps package with heimdall? Is there a trustable twrp app I can sideload? Is there a trick to get gapps to install with adb?
Looking for a useful solution. Thanks!
After flashing twrp using Odin, are you immediately trying to boot into recovery or are you restarting the phone and booting the rom?
Much noise about flashing twrp on the latest community build 3.5.2
Here is way to flash twrp.
Download flashify from play store and gives supersu permissions
The download the file from the below link
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6b6kX7d6o-XV1dydlJodTZGdGM/view?usp=drivesdk
Unzip
Then use flashify and select flash .img.
Flash and reboot.
Successfully installed .
It worked for me and hope does works for every1.
Thanks.
OK work for me but after i can't install RR, after boot black screen !!
