hi all, i know round the web there are a lot of scripts but what's the best for cm7 in terms of performance and battery?
now i'm using a2sd by darktremor, some days ago i've tried S2E noticing much lag... so i'm expecting that may exist a better script than A2SD...
thanx

Link2sd so you can choose which applications to leave in the internal memory
The best for cm7 is a2sd darktremor because of the app you can configure various things and no lags.
Other very good is Cronmod A2SD+ that work on CM7,CM9 and CM10
oh, perfect 4 different opinion xD
sincerely i don't matter about configure various things... i just want a thing i do not have to care about and do what is supposed to... so now my doubts are about a2sd+ or int2ext
If you have a good sdcard use int2ext+ but if you have a class 2 or 4 sdcard use a2sd+
what about s2e? better than a2sd?

I have used s2e longtime but I lost all my apps a couple of times... the problem was that cwm convert my sd-ext ext4 to ext2 and s2e can't handle ext2. Make a nandroid backup and try CronMod-INT2EXT+ or Amarullz a2sd script or mounts2sd (that has many options + aroma installer!). Try before you die
Edit: I use int2ext+ now and it's really good. Just flash it once and you never get to look at it again. I know for sure when you try a script like int2ext+ (or amarullz one) you never wants to go back to s2e or darktremors a2sd again!

this scares me quite
Bugs:
A2SD
-none
D2EXT
-none
INT2EXT
-Some devices may still lose there data connection (fix: try the xperia version)
-Some devices may still lose there gps (fix: try the gps version)
-Some phones can experience a low sound bug (fix: run fix-permissions)
-Some phones recoverys wont flash the script properly (fix: mount /system in recovery then flash)
what do you think about it?
As far i used cm7, first choice was s2e. then Amarullz script.

Hello dear friends. First of all - please excuse me for maybe the stupid questin i'm going to ask I want to say that i searh for this issue all day and i still can't find a satisfying answer
So lets start - I bought HTC Desire 2-3 weeks ago and of course i began modifying it I've tried tons of custom ROMS & stuff like this and i get to a final conclusion - the official HTC Gingerbread update 2.3.3 for the Desire is the best and i just dont want to change it It's simply the fastest one, without significant bugs and so on. The only problem is that i can't find a way to make my internal storage bigger I managed to do this with a custom ROM, but all of the ROMS were either laggy or with some major bugs that i don't like. So my question is:
IS THERE A WAY TO MAKE MY INTERNAL STORAGE BIGGER AND STILL USE THE OFFICIAL HTC GINGERBREAD 2.3.3 UPDATE
Thanks in advance for helping guys
One word- Supernova
Sent from my Desire running Supernova Extreme - Gingerbread goodness with Unlimited Internal memory
I just don't want custom ROMS buddy I've tried the Supernova, and i got some problems with the mobile connection... I reall want an official ROM with just more internal space
Well then you can do these steps:
Install ext4 support
Install init.d support
Install Busybox
Modify your kernel to add init.d and busybox runparts
Finally add a2sd or data2sd yourself
Each step has its own seperate thread on Xda. You can search and find it
Have been using supernova for a week or so now. Not had any issues and my apps run fine on Sandisk 8 gig class 4 with 1 gig EXT4 partition. Now with all my apps etc installed i have 839 meg free space for more apps. I don't think the Desire will get any more OTA updates as 2.3.3 was only available via download and came with several disclaimers.
Try Link2SD, only need is second partition.

Droidzone and Sibere have released a new DATA2SD script which is fast and stable.
also good support!

Can Supernova be installed using Rom Manager?
edit: Doesn't look like Supernova will work for me, my Desire is CDMA.
Never user ROM Manager! It's a horrible software which causes more problems than it solves.
Just flash roms from recovery.

The stock feature with witch one can move apps to is called "Apps2SD". The apps can moved to FAT32 partition if the dev programmed the app for this.
The script which moves automatically moves apps to SD is called "A2SD / A2SD+". A2SD if you use this feature only for apps, A2SD+ if you also move dalvik-cache to SD. The partition is here.an EXT one. Furthermore, it doesn't matter if the dev programmed the app for this or not.
@OP:
Try oxygen ROM with the script which moves dalvik cache to EXT partition if you don't want to go S-OFF and flash oxygen hboot.

Over clock - Nope! There was a 1Ghz kernel by Maroc-os but it was laggy and a 900Mhz one but it was a beta.
Chainfire3D - Download from Google Play.
Chainfire3D Plugins - Search on Google.
Typed with SwiftKey 3 using XDA Premium on my GT-S5360
Hmm.. ok but i have a better performance with 900mhz or no difference? how i do that?
i using chainfire 3d 2.8 plugin qualcomm
but my fruit ninja is not very good... have a small lag
but in my galaxy 5 is more fast
what is a better kernel for games?

You should try repencis kernel. It is very good kernel with many features available. If you want to gaming, use repencis kernel along with performance or smartass v2 cpu governor, chainfire 3d and swapper to play games smooth. I use those combination to play fruit ninja no lag at all.
Thank you i will try that,
but i think before i do a thing wrong....
when i flashed merruk, i install ext4.zip, and in CWM i choose EXT Size 256 and Swap Size 128mb, wipe data, nothing happens after that.. but i think have something wrong... where i found a tutorial about that? i can't found
and i wanna install my programs in SDCard what is the better way to do that?

About the merruk kernel, I'm not really sure where you can find the tutorial. I don't pay attention on it since repencis kernel released, plus it got busybox issue which not fix until now.
If you want to install apps to sdcard, try install manager or rom toolbox lite, you can search both of these apps in google play store. Or you can use repencis rom which have built in apps install location. But not all apps can install in sdcard. I found those method are more easier than using ext partition or a2sd.
Hey is veryyy better now, =D no lag,
repencis 3.5
format ext3 by MiniTool Partition Wizard
install CWM Merruk_Recovery format
and install the a2sd 2.7.5.3 beta 4
=D using smartassv2
how i change my Skin in Repencis?

Check second post in repencis rom topic. there are 2 themes available for you to choose. But be sure to backup your rom first, in case you don't like it or anything wrong you can restore back your setting with the backup.
hey.. last help hehe.. i don't understand.. in the repencis say format in ext2 or ex3 and later automatic will transform in ext4
i format in ext3, and wipe data 5.0.2.6 cwm and reinstall the rom and wipe the rom, and put card again in computer and show ext2, not ext4, its normal?
I try
mount2sd
s2e
it can't move.

You can try Jba2sd script from Amarullz it is on jellaxy.com links and on xda. You can also try cronmod intext+. Or link2sd just download from play store.

use Cronmod A2SD++ it moves apps and data to sd ext in aokp,cm9 and cm10.
Int2Ext+ is laggy if you use a sdcard with low class.if you have a class 2 or 4 use A2SD++
Hey everybody,
which script is best for app2sd,cuz i am noob about the app2sd scripts(such as S2E,link2sd,init2ext etc).so which one is best script which is best, fluid and supported all OS roms(ICS,JB and GB etc) and mostly stable.which one it is?
Link2sd is good, fast and stable.
But some roms dont support it...
Sent from my GT-S5660 using xda app-developers app
so what about S2E ?
I heard somewhere that s2e is better than link2sd
S2E is really good as it moves everything in your sdext but on heavy ROM makes them really slow (on CM7 works fine, have to see on AOSP ICS and lightweight CM9/10/10.1).
Link2SD moves not so much on sdext but is faster than S2E.
Else int2ext(+) that 'swaps' internal data partition with sdext... it's in the middle for space saving and performance.

well.I was thinking like that
Link2sd - faster than s2e and supported all OS roms
S2E - gives more storage than link2sd but only for AOSP/CM7/9/10.1 roms
Int2ext - give performance than link2sd and s2e
am i right?

Yeah.
But, over all I choose for Link2SD. Specially because it works on all my devices on different ROMs and versions... It also has the capability to select the normal SD-card as storage for your apps. But, some apps won't work with that. Specially the ones with widgets.

Thanks APPD1, i've been using cm10.1 but so far couldnt make any "a2sd app" work.. I tried them all.
My question is: do you have your apps linked to sd successfuly and wich app are you using?
If you say yes I'll gladdly follow your suggestion: i just want my Gio to be functional again.

Installed cm7 recommended by appd1 and yes, link2sd is working like a charm

this rom clearly supports a2sd...just first you should active it in setting>app>application......
and I use a lot of kinds of applications like : solid explorer , titanium backup , zdbox ,ezpdf reader, powerAMP music player , MXplayer , Instagram ,Tapatalk & ...
All of my apps can move to sd easily & fast...
also I Removed some of useless apps by titanium backup for more free space..for example ( calculator , some extra widgets , voice search &.. )
this rom has 1 small bug that i noticed..some times camera with other themes doesnt work..(just some times)..I reported to its cooker..

Hi! I suggest you use Cyanogenmod 10.1 by OldDroid together with the S2E app available on Play Store.
I also strongly suggest you freeze/disable unneeded system apps so that you end up with a smooth experience.
Just make sure that you format the second partition with Ext4 format.
Cwm recovery has played some tricks with me and I ended up formatting on my PC before mounting on S2E. Even the Ext4 only Cwm recovery formatted as Ext3
Good luck flashing!
