Hi,
Lately, i noticed that my battery is draining faster. I usually have wifi, 3G and bluetooth off. However, checking battery stats, it shows that Bluetooth is draining battery, even when off! Come to think about it, i never use bluetooth.
Any idea how could this be possible?
Check the below screenshots.
Thanks
Do a soft reset.

I guess when you press the power button for 10s and let the phone restart.
I've done that, so far, bluetooth isn't showing in battery stats. I'll keep an eye on it
Thanks androidino95

So I have unbricked my phone and have flashed cm9 and fullthrottle now I'm on the official ics from att. My phone has been dying quickly. I checked my battery stats and seen android OS in my number 2 spot. Today I unplugged my phone and didn't use it for two hrs and it went down 5% I checked and android os stayed away 1 hr and 53 mins.

Same thing on my end. LG really screwed this up.

You need to install the better battery stats app and see which app is giving you wake locks.

Yep, install better battery stat, it's even free for XDA member, search the app forum.

Also, there's a thread called "known identified battery drainers" in the ATT GS2/I777 forums that has some good, universal stuff on interpreting wakelocks.

any luck solving this?
I tried flashing this from 3 times wiping everything and still get the android os taking most of my battery. I tried better battery stats but can really interpret it. I don't have facebook link or instagram. I'll post pics of better battery stats.

Did you flash through CWM or using LG's official tool from a computer?

I'd suggest disabling stock apps you don't need, I guess. Most people seem to think the battery life on that ROM is decent.
I always disable the att apps that come with the stock from. I get about 10 hrs on medium use with the extended battery. If this was fixed then I would get way more

same issue
I never even thought to check into that as I have also had bad battery life, but figured it was just the nitro. New to rooting LG's as I had samsungs before. I am having the same exact issue running OH!NO! Full Throttle 7.1 and never realized it.. Is it just settings that are not allowing it to sleep?
I have no clue but there is something that is keeping the phone awake and not letting gp to sleep which is really hurting the battery life

i definitely recommend getting juice defender. it made a HUGE difference in my battery life.
I tried it but it didn't help much just turned off the data. The only thing that really helped was to go into app settings and disable android and it has helped some

I have the same issue. Android OS is (or was) the best battery killer. AT&T support person told me to do factory reset AND DO NOT INSTALL any app that are not preinstalled. I have to install them later one by one to find one incompatible with ICS.
After reset operation (happened 2 hours before) I have now Screen as the best battery killer Battery went from 77% down to 62% with some browsing and preinstalled apps update. It looks promising...
Hello guys, yesterday I plug my HOV to charge, I set the alarm and sleep, 6 hours later (to go to school) I woke up, because it was late to school. the thiing is my HOV does not play the alarm...my HOV was dead!!!
I disconnected it, and all the key combinations did not work...
So, when I return from school I plugged it again, the charging lead was blinking
Then I push the ON botton and it turns on...
I want to know, what happens to it.
I do not want to happen me again....
Why this happens??
That among others is a very common problem of our beloved HTCs.It is very prominent in the One X.
I suggest you try a factory reset.

But is it on risk?
Sent from my One V using xda app-developers app
I don't feel any risk in it.HTCs always act randomly.Just give factory reset a go.
Edit:don't leave it overnight for charging.Mine usually takes 3-4 hrs to fully charge.

^this.
Also never ever put your device to charge overnight. It'll ruin your battery.
Sent from my One V using xda app-developers app
Haha,I typed the edit at the same time you posted.
It does not ruin the battery;the charging probably stops at 100%; the charger becomes cold.

So, only a wipe and I'm done?
Sent from my One V using xda app-developers app
Try it and report the results and then we'll try further if the problem still exists.
Sent from my One V using xda app-developers app
Ok, so tomorrow I'll do the wipe cause now I'm gonna go to sleep, thanks for help, and I'll be reporting

The blinking when you are charging means that your battery is too low on power to turn on the phone (According to a HTC Care representative)

Wipe done..let's see and don't charge all the f ..u.ck.ing.. night

Is anyone having battery issues with the update I didn't wait for mine and flashed it about a week or so before I was due for the update and my phone turns off when the battery is around 15 or 20 percent. The sprint animation doesn't come up it just dies and then I can't turn it back on while unless I plug it in and the white battery symbol shows up then I have to wait like 20 minutes to turn it in and it will turn on with about 3 to 5 percent battery. Does anyone know what's up or if this is normal with this phone.
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda app-developers app
Doesn't sound normal to me. I've run mine down to 5% before on stock. Bad battery perhaps?
I'm not sure on the battery settings it says it has good health status so I'm not sure...
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda app-developers app
If I were you try these few things.
Make sure the charger is working correctly.
See if there is an app killing the battery.
Try and see if the stock power save mode helps.
Try clearing the cache and rebooting.
And if all else fails do a clean install on LGNPST. This usually fixes most issues.

Have you checked apps and sync settings for anything waking the device? Sometimes just a reboot can fix it.

Are you on ART and using another user account?

Sorry I meant if you're on ART do you have another user account?
I do have a first account, unused really with nothing running,... better battery stats shows me those services running, is that normal?

Reason I asked is because I have two user accounts and I had the same problem as you on ART.
For me it was Google Search was the culprit in my second account, even when I'm logged in my first and my N7.2 goes to sleep.
First account no problems whatsoever.
So revert to Dalvik. Everything is back to normal now. Besides on ART I lost quite a substantial amount of storage just for that slight increase in speed which I don't find necessary.
Fully charged again. Will switch back to dalvik and see what happens...

Hi, my M8 seems to be using quite a lot of power even though it's turned off. For example, overnight whilst I was asleep, it used 30% of the total power consumption. Anyone know why this is happening? Here's a screenshot from just now, after I'd reset my phone.
