Hi Guyz,
When a lot of people try to increase their max sound, i would like to know how to reduce the min sound.
To me the min sound is too high...1 is too high and 0 of course the sound is "mute" !
Any idea ?
Thanks.
Cheers,
Any idea?

when you change the volume, the box that comes out, hit the little setting icon.
Yes sure..but 1 is too high anyway....there is no 0.5 ! lol !
I am looking for a solution also.

I have the same issue. Before the last update, the volume was not an issue. Now I find that even at the lowest setting, the in call volume is too high. As far as I can see, there are no other settings to fix this. I have even adjusted the "my sound" settings in "call settings" to soft. That did not help either. My hearing is not great, so I find it hard to believe that so few people have this issue.
+1 on this. The notifications on my device are too loud on the lowest volume. Is there a regular app to suppress the sound?

Hello! how can I setup increasing ring volume? I want that it started low, then increased to high. And vibrate the same
Seems it's not available on Defy.
Do check out FoxyRing (http://www.appbrain.com/app/foxyring:-smart-ringtone/com.levelup.foxyring) through. Adjust ringtone volume based on ambient noise level.
I use "increasing ring", free on the market.
It works quite well.
Anyway I don't understand why it's not a standard android option.

Hi please can somebody tell me how to increase the ringtone volume?
It possible to Change the clock on home screen with a clock with meteo, like Samsung note style?
I use Volume+ for volume increase and SimiClock for clock+weather. You can search for other clock and weather apps on market tho.
You should use HD Widgets for clock/weather. That's the one i use and i love it.

Ha i have use it but volume are really low for me
I too use Volume+, but I must be using it wrong, because it doesn't seem to be really increasing the volume. I followed the instructions in the app. Arw you supposed to just be able to keep increasing the volume past the max or is it supposed to boost the entire band of volume?

Just set it to about 8+. It works great for me. Just try increasing carefully so as not to blow the speaker.. that is in case 8+ is too much for your phone.
Volume+ just works fine for me. It may require root tho.

how can i set it?
What I did to increase the volume of my ringtone is increasing level in an audio editor on my PC and transfer it back over.
Works well for me and I don't need volume+

follow the direction that pops up when you first open Volume+ app
uninstall, then reinstall it if you've already went ahead and ignored it.
I got my set to 8+, and it's perfect.
Anyone facing that? Even setting volumes to max it just sound too lower.
Is there a fix for it?
Thanks

Well... even not being a nood i wish that was the problem.
Believe me i've tried the Volume + ..lol
Looks more like a it is set to not me "loud".
Any hint?
So, does Volume+ work and it's still not loud enough for you? I'm not really getting the last sentence.
The Nexus is not the loudest phone. You only have two options:
Use Volume+ or some other app like that to boost the max volume.
Or you can use a custom ROM with a higher max volume setting. CM9 is pretty loud (I have it on 1/3 and it's loud enough for me).
You can try to modify the tone itself on the pc to make the sound louder. I did that before. Not really a technical guy but it had something to do with the decibel readings. After that the tone played loud when I transferred to my phone

I think people are just going deaf. My volume is plenty loud 1-2 clicks from max.

Ringtones
Open source software called audacity is pretty great for moding sound files and can help with the volume level. Mod on the computer and place them on the Nexus...
I made my own ringtone. Its loud enough to wake the dead, without distortion. No need for Volume+.
As kafitze mentioned, use Audacity. It may not help current ringtones if they are low quality already. I made mine from a flac file.
Thank you guys... will try all these solutions.
Cheers

I'm running stock ICS on my unrooted Gnexus. Can I use Volume+ without any problems? And should I download from the market or from the site?
I went from the Facinate to the Nexus and I'm not sure if it is an issue with my phone but the volume seems to be really low and it has caused me to miss a few calls. Forgive me if this is in the wrong area but a friend sent me here to get advice.. I have found the rooting of my old facinate to be fun as hell and give thanks to the guide.
I also wanted to know if there is a requirement for posting in the marketplace? I would hate to have to post like 10 times just so I can sell a few of my dust collecting products..
Don't get me wrong i understand the reason for it. but as im just your average i doubt i will have a tip that has not been posted and would prefer not to get flammed at for posting something already posted to get that min posting count

volume lvl 8 can be the start and i usually set all around 60 to 80. when u starting to hear those cracking sound, lower the setting. you also need to enable the effect on the phone > setting > sound > music effect.
If you install franco ,ogdobbers James bond or Glados kernel they all have a volume boost hack. You can easily control this with Glados app from the market. Bad ass phone you'll love it!

I used Volume+ until I flashed CM9. For some reasons it distorts my sounds now even if I set it to +2 or 4. The developer suggests to remove DSPManager but the speaker keeps distorting even after removing it. Any idea why?

Thanx for clearing that up.. Its a lot of things to get used to going from the Fascinate to the Nexus.. all the changes from 2.3 to 4.0 have made my head hurt.. LOL
Well i dont use the music player that much.. and when i do i have it hooked to my aux jack in my car which can make my ears bleed if i was to blast that. So i should be good letting that sit at a low volume and let my car do the rest.. LOL
I have a problem with different roms on gio. Specially that are on stock based..
The problem is that I select a mp3 tone for the notification but when the notification rings it's sound is low, even I have made the volume of the notification full in the notification setting.
And If i apply the same tone on the Ringtone it rings high...
I am unable to settle this matter and I don't know what is the main problem????

Having the same problem here, with a friend's phone... :/
Try ES Task manager
Download it free from market
It has option to adjust volume, including system volume which is not available in the general option.
I have same problem before but it fixed with that app

How to get access to system volume?
It's a little better...
But with all volume's at max, the notification sound is considerabely lower than the ringtone, even when they are the same.
Must be a bug from samsung...

What sound of notification do you use ? It probably has low volume level rather than the ringtone itself

I have downloaded it but I can't see any changes made to the volume, for me its still the same. Volume was at 100% before installing it for ringetones and the others.
I guess its the speaker in the phone that can't provide higher sound.

Let me explain myself...
I hava put a folder with the name of "Notifications" on the microsd, so that i can use personalized tones.
When i define some of them as a ringtone, they just sound incredebly high.
If i put the same ones as a notification sound, i almost can't hear them...
I have all volumes at 100%. It surely is a bug from the rom...
I went on Enhaced Gio 2.3.6 Stock ROM. Same problem. Notification sounds are very low! It's a bug, I'm sure, but how can it be fixed, anyway

I have tried several roms and the sound quality is still low both for the notifications as well as ringetones I miss quite a lot of calls when I am outdoor. I read somewhere that modification of kernels can help to get higher sound volume, and I hope some developers can help us with that.
try changing the system volume with this app and see if the problem is solved https://play.google.com/store/apps/...NvbS5zbWFydGFuZHJvaWRhcHBzLmF1ZGlvd2lkZ2V0Il0.
Already tried... At max, stays the same.
if thats the same for every android version and not only GB then unfortunatly something might happened to your gio
all sounds in my gio is very low, is the speaker has broken? is there any suggest to fix it? sory for my english
