I received mine from a LG covention they had in Atlanta weeks before its release, then I ordered one through Sprint on the 19th and havent got a shipping notification yet. That could be because of the holidays, but at work we can order them and have them in within 3 days, so I wouldnt think they are on backorder from the manufacturer, probably amazon is setting expectations for the holiday season.
Like mentioned before BestBuy will price match almost any online price and if its a new line of service not an upgrade almost every real coporate sprint store will as well.
i got it from letstalk wireless. The error was that WHile I am a JR my father has a sprint account and we live at teh same address so they needed confirmation it was someone different. Anyways No deposit and 3 lines :} Im happy lol and with my corporate/university discount I only pay around 64~69 ish a month.

I would but the closest one is 45 minutes away and with being a full time college student and full time job plus a second one travel time is a tad limited. And the stores here. raduoshack etc don't carry it so I was stuck going online.

I am cheap, so waiting was no problem as I had an epic I still love. I ordered it Dec. 1 (my upgrade date) and it said it was backordered until jan 16th for the estimated delivery. Anyway, long story short it came in the mail on the 6th. I can't say the backorder is just BS, but I thought I was gonna be doing the 25 days after christmas countdown to get my phone.
When I bought mine, it said it was on back order and expected in January. I got it 5 days later. Not promising anything, just sharing my experience.

Anyone that was at the 'global' launch received their £250 worth of vouchers from Samsung yet?

I was the guy looking thoroughly cheesed off about the fact the there was only one shop in the country that was supplying them on launch day. I noticed the media team with the camera steered well clear of me instead asking questions to 'the only girl in the queue'
I remember when I bought Sammy gtab 10.1 on the release day in London something was as well. Sammy offered cover and keyboard to first 100 ppl, it took about a month. I'm guessing that it's due to 27days return policy. they didn't want to give free stuff and people would return gtab and sell the freebies...

Yeah, that's what they said to me and seven days would probably mean business days so we're looking to the start of next week
I was just wondering if they were being proactive and sending them out when they said they would rather than leaving it for weeks and weeks
I was close to the front and nothing. I expect it will take around three weeks.
I was 3rd in the Queue but still nothing, i remember one of the Sammy Reps saying it would take "A Few Weeks"
Also I seem to remember that they said the voucher will be redeemed with Samsung's own Android store, not the market. Since I don't think Samsung has put up an ICS version of their store app yet it will probably be a while till we get it.

I have contacted Phones4U twice now (as they didn't get back to me the first time) they said it would be coming from Samsung and they would email us a code after 20 days.

I was in the queue early morning behind a guy who already had one! I got in, given and handset and then got denied a contract on Orange!
At least I got the T-Shirt
I came back at about 6 and there were still 2 name slots on the list, managed to get my upgrade with Vodafone so that was one less hassle!
So I got the 250 vouchers and the 100 return (still waiting for these), Phones4U didn't want to write this offer on my contract though...
Also got a mug too!

If you want top service, order from Expansys. Aside from having a rep on this board who is VERY responsive & helpful (COREY L) they also have a $40 discount coupon 40OFFGNX (that's four-zero-oh) which worked for me as of late last (Thurs) night.
Ordered last night 11PM (PayPal) and it was already picked up by Fedex and scheduled for delivery tomorrow by noon(I paid for SAT delivery).
My guess is if you wait another 2-3 weeks you will see a pretty decent price drop but if you're in a rush I'd say EXPANSYS.

Since it is your first Nexus I should point out that any grey market device will have marginal or no warranty service, including expansys us, read the fine print not the ads. Good luck.

I don't think I'll ever use expansys UK again. Mine was faulty on arrival and it took two weeks between reporting it faulty and getting the replacement through. Seemed like forever!!!
I don't know if that's typical for Internet retailers, quick to send but slow to resolve problems. It's all sorted in the end so can't complain but waiting two weeks was torture.

Ordered from Negri on the 22nd, the coupon was good for $50. My total was $680.50, and they were offering free shipping via FedEx Saver. Its due on the 29th.
I've always used Handtec, but with that coupon, Negri was cheaper.

Ohhhh of course a couple days after I order, they lower the price.

If you're still looking and depending on how close to the USA/CND border you are you could pick one up from Bell or Virgin off contract. Especially while the US DOllar is stronger. Just my 2cents...
I went to a Verizon store and bought mine for $650 and didn't have to worry about shipping.
Sometimes buying off contract doesn't make sense, can someone explain?
I have a question about buying unsubsidized phones off contract. It makes sense on certain plans, like T-mobile value plans that end up saving you money. However, for the rest of the folks who are on regular plans with Verizon, doesn't it make sense to get the phone subsidized from somewhere cheap like Amazon. I mean you're going to have the phone at least for 6 months, then you can pay the prorated Verizon ETF whenever you want to cancel your contract. Doesn't it come out cheaper? Am I missing something? Are you guys on different Verizon plans?
Dose anyone here know if best buy is going to have them in stock on launch day? I preordered mine there on 10/27 and the employees at my local store aren't very helpful. Ťhey said I would get first one because they didn't even know it could be preordered but I would like to know when to expect it.

My bet is the AT&T version will not be available on launch day at Best Buy. AT&T is shipping online preorders today. A group of us have been waiting for the Sprint version at Best Buy and have recently confirmed that the white version is finally arriving at the stores but they can't sell them until the 11th. Sprint stores started selling them on 10-25. This means Sprint Corporate probably had exclusivity for a couple weeks to sell the phones first and AT&T will probably do the same thing.

I called Best Buy and Best Buy Mobile in Greenwood Indiana. The Mobile store says they have it on the 11th and Best Buy store said they don't have a date yet. Suffice it to say I will be at the AT&T store at 9am picking up the Note 2 and cancelling my order with Best Buy Mobile.

Don't shoot yourself in the foot. Cancel NOTHING until you have one in hand, as the average employee, phone rep etc. at Best Buy OR AT&T haven't a clue when they will have or ship anything other than what they hear from the folks around them. You just have to check your options, and be ready to pounce if one turns up, LOL, but canceling orders on spec is a losing game, trust me, I have been there and done that more than once. My frustration is I only have a debit card, and any pre-order I ever place always debits the money for at least a week, and then rills the charge off if it has not delivered or shipped. It ties up my money so I can't hedge my bets with a backup plan. Fortunately i git lucky this go around and have one arriving via Fedex late delivery tomorrow.

I work for best buy mobile so I can counter-confirm your claim. We have a HARD street date for AT&T of 11/9 and sprint is 11/11. That may have been what they were referring to. Or you got a dumb employee that doesn't know how to pull up street dates. And trust me, I know more than my **** when it comes to AT&T releases for this company
I'm in NYC, 5th ave store & Union Square store confirms Sunday the 11th. But for the Sprint version. They already have them. AT&T isnt in stock yet and should arrive towards the end of the month (or 2 weeks).

When I called the best buy mobile number from their website, the rep claimed that they should have them in stores tomorrow according to their system. So hopefully that is the case...

It's being delivered by UPS and should be here tomorrow. I can't freaking wait. Good timing too, cause I'm not sure how much longer I could go without smashing my 3D on the ground lol. Same thing as wirefly but its cheaper because its their friends and family program. Same company, so its just as credible as Wirefly.com, which is credible depending on whom you ask. Some have good experiences and some have bad experiences.

Mine arrived today I ordered direct from sprint tho...
I pre-order the device and it said 11/11/12 shipping date , I went to the shipping page now it says TBD , does anyone else have any info on there wirefly order? Is yours being shipped 11/11? I know its cheaper through wirefly but if I have to wait for the device my time then becomes worth more than the money at this point. I sold my EVOLTE and am rocking a sanyo tahoe..... cant take this lol
Still waiting also. Mine also says TBD and I've pre- ordered since the 1st. Last I heard, wire fly was waiting to receive the phones to ship and were still on schedule.

They can't ship them until Sprint tells them they can, which won't be until the 11th and ultimately the 12th because of weekend and possibly the 13th because of holiday.

Personally, I couldn't wait. My Epic 4G was really beginning to annoy me. I could not stand the thing any longer. But now that is all in the past and man do I love my phone lol. The one thing I can not get over is the build quality. All this time, having a samsung phone, I did not know what i was missing but now I know what people mean when they say Samsung phones feel cheap.

Wirefly is 150, wireflyfriends is 120. The only difference is price.

Ahhh, didnt realize that it was observed for tomorrow even though the holiday is today.
But i think wirefly ships via Fedex and they work tomorrow as normal.
I cancelled my Wirefly order. They wouldn't pricematch wireflyfriends.com and Radio Shack had it for 149.. so I went to BB and got them to pricematch since they had it in stock..
Still awaiting inventory...
These wirefly people need to get their story straight.
The chat i had early this morning was "the phone you ordered is out of stock but we expect to have more tomorrow".

They can't ship the day after the expected delivery date without word from upper management? That makes no sense.
If I didn't have a test on Wednesday I would've cancelled my order and gone to Radio Shack

I ordered from Wirefly Friends and Family and I guess if I wanted to get it ASAP I'd be a little disappointed, but since I'm not in too much of a rush to get it, I'm more than content. For the $119.99 price tag, I'm saving $80 plus tax which is about 8% here, so at total of about $96 in savings over picking it up in a store. So for almost half off of the total price of the phone, yeah I'll sit quietly and be happy when it gets here.

Radio Shack didn't have in stock near me, but Best Buy did.. no reason I would go with one over the other.

I agree with you.. but based on my limited experience with Wirefly, the fact they said they'd ship on the 11th, and now they still aren't shipping.. and providing no information.. along with various web reviews.. plus they wouldn't price match the wireflyfriends site, even though I had a price guarantee on my preorder.. plus.. I wanted it yesterday! LOL..
Anyways, the fact I could get it yesterday for the same price as the wirefly site, without the delays and uncertainty that went along with wirefly made it an easy choice for me.
