Personally, I couldn't wait. My Epic 4G was really beginning to annoy me. I could not stand the thing any longer. But now that is all in the past and man do I love my phone lol. The one thing I can not get over is the build quality. All this time, having a samsung phone, I did not know what i was missing but now I know what people mean when they say Samsung phones feel cheap.

Ahhh, didnt realize that it was observed for tomorrow even though the holiday is today.
But i think wirefly ships via Fedex and they work tomorrow as normal.
I cancelled my Wirefly order. They wouldn't pricematch wireflyfriends.com and Radio Shack had it for 149.. so I went to BB and got them to pricematch since they had it in stock..
Still awaiting inventory...

I ordered from Wirefly Friends and Family and I guess if I wanted to get it ASAP I'd be a little disappointed, but since I'm not in too much of a rush to get it, I'm more than content. For the $119.99 price tag, I'm saving $80 plus tax which is about 8% here, so at total of about $96 in savings over picking it up in a store. So for almost half off of the total price of the phone, yeah I'll sit quietly and be happy when it gets here.

I agree with you.. but based on my limited experience with Wirefly, the fact they said they'd ship on the 11th, and now they still aren't shipping.. and providing no information.. along with various web reviews.. plus they wouldn't price match the wireflyfriends site, even though I had a price guarantee on my preorder.. plus.. I wanted it yesterday! LOL..
Anyways, the fact I could get it yesterday for the same price as the wirefly site, without the delays and uncertainty that went along with wirefly made it an easy choice for me.

The information your getting sounds normal. I ordered mine Tuesday and, the estimated shipping from FedEx said should receive it tomorrow. If you read the last few pages of Hantec shipment thread, you will see the same pattern.
If they have stock it seems to be taking only a day and a half from the time you order it.

1am Pacific on wednesday was about 5pm on Tuesday here. According to their blog post they should have shipped it yesterday. Having said that it must have been crazy busy there! I imagine it'll go out today if it hasn't already (fyi its 4am Thursday in the UK now)
But there's no way for me to track it. They gave me a confirmation number and that's it. No info on if it's been shipped yet.

If you haven't gotten a tracking number yet, I'm sure it hasnt shipped yet. Maybe you should email handtec and ask them if/when it will ship. I ordered mine last Friday, and it just shipped yesterday because they didn't have stock in, so maybe that's what happened?

(assuming you are in the usa and were considering waiting for the phone on verizon)
1. you paid $5 more than the unlocked gsm version of the phone will likely retail for in san francisco california ($650 * 1.085 = $705)
2. you are free to go to t-mobile, at&t, or any number of other gsm mvnos.
3. on t-mobile you can get a cheaper month-to-month plan than contract plan.
4. the verizon version is thicker and contains bloatware, not to mention is locked down to verizon. the monthly bill will be at least $80/mo for a new line and with a 4GB cap currently. you will probably pay $300 + tax at verizon, and locked into a $350 early termination fee. therefore you will pay the same amount as you just paid if for some reason you wanted to leave verizon.
5. more people on the planet will have the same version of the phone as you do. therefore you will reap the benefits of international android hackers more quickly.
6. gsm/hspa+ uses less battery than cdma/lte
7. you get it first

Mine was $700 but when it got to the local depot they called and said the extra charges come to just under $100. I live in Canada though and we have a fairly high sales tax as well as a provincial tax (%12 in total).
Nice thing was I ordered Tuesday morning and it got here 48 hours later.

I tried to find a low price and saw that AmazonWireless was selling it for $199.99 on a new contract. When I got home from work, I was checking the order and checked the description of the phone and it was now $149.99. I felt a little ripped off. I knew that Amazon had no obligation to give me the difference, but I figured what the hell, I'll call them anyway. The guy on the phone, said since I ordered it on the 15th and the price on the 15th is $149.99, that he'll change it for me and he did. If you ordered yours on Amazon for $199.99, I would suggest calling them to see if you can get it for the lower price. I can't guarantee that they will, but it's worth a shot. $50 is $50.

dont let that get to you. Amazon does that to all phones that are in high demand. Mine already shipped. They list as backordered but they ship them out as they recieve them even though the website lists them as backordered.
They are already shipping them. As the demand goes down I bet they start listing it as the phone shipping in 24 hours.
I ordered mine yesterday and it shipped today, even though it said backordered the whole time.

Just like someone already said, Amazon always says backordered on new devices. I ordered mine on the 15th, but it hasn't shipped yet. The status did change from "not yet shipped" to "shipping soon" though. It might take a couple days for them to send it, but imo it's worth it to save the money. $300 at Big Red or $150 at Amazon? To me it's a no brainer. They also give you free 2 Day shipping, so once it is shipped, you know you'll have it in 2 days. I'm guessing they are going to ship it today or Monday, which would get it here by Tuesday or Wednesday. Getting excited! I went to the Verizon Corporate store yesterday just to play around with it and walked out with an extended battery. They have them for $25 right now, so run over and get you one. The guy there showed me his with the extended battery and there really isn't much difference in size at all. It's a 2100mah made by Samsung.

Also, just to add, the extended battery that's on sale has NFC built in. Not a bad deal for $25.
Sounds good, they charged my account this morning and from my past orders this means its going to ship today ! I'm getting pretty excited cant wait to have it in my hands. So far for the Nexus i have Zagg on its way and am going to be heading to the store to pick up a extended battery here shortly.

Alright so just got home from VZW as i was walking in UPS was dropping some boxes off so i signed in and got called about 5 minutes later, asked about the battery and the guys said your lucky we just got out shipment in because we were all out. $26.93 after taxes and as i was walking out i got a email notification saying my packaged has shipped, got home logged it to get a tracking number and for whatever reason amazon wireless is sending me my sim card first and that's what has shipped. Good thing is that the phone now says shipping soon so hopefully they send out today but i doubt it so its looking like tomorrow or Monday for me.

A few online retailers have had them for $229ish for the last couple weeks. I lucked out and got mine for $125 from LetsTalk on launch day, shipped within 4 days.
Amazon refunded my dad $129 from the $229 price. He bought on the 15th but backorder caused it to not arrive until two days ago. He was happy I pointed that out to him.

Well you've been able to buy this for well under $300 from several retailers for over a month now... so...
Good deal. I was going to get it from Amazon but they were out of stock and I didn't want to wait. No remorse, just a bit sore on the back side.
Having been flitting between the One S (for the smaller size) and the One X for the potential hardware benefits I decided to just go with the device I most wanted and plumped for the One X, for me the size is really the only thing that made me think twice as I ride motorcycles for a living, am out on the road a lot reviewing kit and a whopping device is a bit of a PITA in leathers.

Didn't heard anything about being accepted so I emailed them and they confirmed I've been successful with Orange
Yaaaay, I can't wait!
I'm hoping it's delivered on release day! 5th April?

VERY bad experience with them.
I ordered a Limited Edition Zelda 3DS from thehut dot com and I paid for next day delivery...
Nothing came next day, so the day after that I phoned them up, they'd lost the parcel... Then they'd found it and it was due to be delivered the next day...
Then their tracking system said that at 14:53 the parcel was handed to the courier driver, then at 14:53 it was in transit, then apparently I signed for it at my house at 14:53... ALL THE SAME DAY!!!
Then a week later a woman knocked on my door and hands me the parcel, they'd delivered it to the wrong address, the other side of the city I live in.
They failed to tell me that I'd (apparently) signed for it, then that they'd lost it.
I think yodel are Crap.
Ordered mine from clove this afternoon. £500 including vat and next day delivery. Now for the cases and Sim card cutter!

Really jealous. I just checked and still no tracking #. I pre-ordered it Friday (I believe Thursday of last week was when they started taking pre-orders). When did you order yours?

I ordered Thursday afternoon about 2PM Eastern time.
YAY!! Mine shipped too and I pre-ordered it Monday morning.
Spoke too soon! Just checked order status again and I have a tracking number!

I should have ordered through Sprint, not Wirefly. Now I have to wait the weekend out without a new toy.
Just received my tracking # as well! Woot! Ordered 25 seconds after they listed the pre-order on the site lol. Already received my Spigen Ultra Crystal Screen Protector so it's ready to install right out of the box. P.S. the Spigen screen protectors are $13 with free shipping from Amazon. Oh god oh god so excited!!! I have been checking the Sprint my order page multiple times daily since I ordered it last Thursday and now I have a tracking number! It's being delivered by UPS and should be here tomorrow. I can't freaking wait. Good timing too, cause I'm not sure how much longer I could go without smashing my 3D on the ground lol. I had to remove the battery five times today cause it kept locking up on me.

X3, seems dumb to save that 50 bucks now, so so jealous...
Got mine from Wirefly too...but there is a silver lining (other than the obvious $50), I've got a test on Wednesday that I haven't even started to study for so it's one less distraction for the weekend!

Same thing as wirefly but its cheaper because its their friends and family program. Same company, so its just as credible as Wirefly.com, which is credible depending on whom you ask. Some have good experiences and some have bad experiences.
