hey guys, I'm sorry if this is already spoken about on here but I've been searching for hours and cant find an answer!
i want to buy the Note 2 & I'm currently w/ ATT.
There was an international one on amazon and id thought i was better off w. the international one since I do travel
out of the country and heard that the international already has or receiving the multi-view update quicker.
However after more reading Ive read that the international ones aren't 4G/LTE capable with ATT or any US carriers.
Is this trueee?
thnks in advance!
btw, the model # is n7100
That is true

I am planning to buy a Galaxy Nexus. But how can I be sure that the one I am buying does work on 1700MHz? I heard that not ALL Galaxy Nexus are pentaband (European? Australian?), I am not sure is it true or not.
Anyway, Is there any way I can check when I purchase one? I am really concerned about that since I am planning to use in Tmobile USA
Any help will be appreciated!!
Thanks guys!

I do appreciate the help. But nobody is answering my question. And they ALL are different questions.
I just want to know is there any way I can check whether the newly purchased galaxy nexus will work on 1700MHz or not.
Please stop generalizing my question.
Thank you very much
Just because people aren't answering your question fast enough for you, doesn't mean you can make more threads to get your answer fast enough.
AND you do realise that more than one question can be asked in 1 thread, plus you can edit your first post and title to be a new question.
Also, are you in america? Where are you right now and what service will you be using?

I have 2 of these phones 1 before they were sold on the play store and one from the play store. I have them both on t mobile. One contract and one prepaid. They both work fine and the same. You will be fine. It will work.

Thanks! Thats reassuring. I too want to use it on Tmobile, mostly for their 3/4G networks. The phone I am using now does not receive 1700MHz. And GN seems to be the only samsung international phone works on 1700MHz. So I give it a shot.
I just want to make sure the international version of GN works on 1700MHz. I tried dialing the service codes like *#*#0011#*#* to check, but it only displays the band I am currently using, not the bands that the phone supports.

Hi all, i travelling to hawaii soon, and was thinking about purchasing a galaxy s3 while i am there, will i have any problems using this phone once i return to australia, i also noticed there are many variants of the s3, is there any i should avoid, or are they all the same but with different bundled software ?
i am keen to flash this device with custom roms in the future, so bundled software is not a huge concern of mine
Its either at&t or T-Mobile versions of galaxy s3 will work in your country but remember it will be sim locked...
Edit: might vary in Hawaii not sure if T-Mobile has network there...

They definitely have network there. My brother just moved there, and there are a few members on here also.

Yes there's network here. Lol.

Wouldn't i be able to use the application 'GalaxSim Unlock' to unlock the sim, or would the S3's in hawaii likely be the Us qualcomm based GS3's ?
Why dont you just get one in Australia? Seems like a lot of trouble to go through? When you in Hawaii you just have to put a prepaid sim in it for it to work. Then when you go back home you have a phone that works well for your country without the hassle of doing something special to the phone to make it work for you. Plus you wouldn't be able to access the 4G networks of the Australian carriers with US variants.

Because they are much cheaper to buy, also, i do not consider unlocking/flashing etc to be a difficult task, i actually enjoy it, call it a pastime that i enjoy if you wish.
Also, only the 4G version of the S3 is going to work on a 4G network, so if i dont buy the 4G version, its not going to be a problem anywhere in the world
Fair enough.

What? All versions of the S3 are "4G". The one in hawaii will be Qualcomm based. If you buy an ATT one in Hawaii the LTE will not work in Australia

i beg to differ in regards to your comment of 'All versions of the S3 are "4G"'
Hi all,
I am getting a note 2 sometime in the UK ext couple of months, but i cant decide between the galaxy note 4G lte, or the 3g version.
I was just wondering:
Which device do u think will get most Dev support?.
Which device will most people be buying?.
And is the 4G version still called the international version? Or is it a carrier branded version that company's have imported??.
Will the 4G version get the official firmware updates the same time as the 3g version? Or will u have to wait longer on the 4g?.
Thanks in advance
Cheers

There is or was allready a similar thread mate, but to answer the question i guess the Inetrnational N7100 (3G) would be the most supported one.
Yeah the N7100 appears to be heavily supported at the moment, the N7105 should get simular support as it grows in numbers.
Hey guys,
I`m from Brazil and I`m spending some days in Victoria - BC. I want to buy a galaxy note 2 but I found only locked Galaxy Notes 2 with carrier. If I buy one is it going to work in Brazil? If I change the ROM to the international version or any Brazilian version is it going to be unlocked? The lte version works with gsm sim cards too?
tks all =)
Any ideas?

The Sprint model of this phone has an embedded sim. Meaning it's not removable. So unless you do some modifying of the hardware and most likely the software too, it won't work for you.
I know the international version of the phone has a sim slot as should Tmobile and AT&T.

I have a galaxy s 3 but am getting ready to buy a Note 2 off contract. Since there the same hardware and same price should I go with INT version for more developer support?

I guess if you don't need LTE. The H+ N7100 one is the only one of the international ones with a lot of support. Most the International LTE guys are using AT&T roms it seems. Last time I was in the N7105 section of the international forums, there wasn't a whole lot going on.
Get the at&t version. Since the phones are the same any new update the international lte one gets we can port over easy!!!!
